Sorry, but no. Unless you mean to include Canada and Mexico, you donā€™t get to claim this. Not after the election result last November. A plurality actively voted for Trump, but a majority was cool enough with what is now happening to not vote against it. Nobody from the outside is shocked by whatā€™s happening. We tried to warn you (not you personally, but you, Americans). We did warn you. And only a third of those who were eligible to vote (not even a third) voted against it. I do sympathise with those of you who voted against this, who tried to avert this, but you saying that more than half of Americaā€™s against him too is simply not true.

And if it was, Iā€™d have to ask: where are your mass protests? How is your country not standing still right now? How come the Nazis in 1930s Germany faced bigger public opposition than Trump and his minions do right now?

I swear the only thing thatā€™s more disappointing than Trumpā€™s return to the White House is the less than lukewarm reaction by the American public.

Please, forgive me if I voice strong doubts right now. The American oppositional response to Trump is an immense disappointment!

Weā€™re not in the streets because weā€™re so conditioned to believe ā€œsomeone else will take care of it.ā€ Weā€™re pacified by consumerism, social media, and reality tv so we donā€™t have to actively see the country as we knew it falling apart. Weā€™re entitled, lazy, and complacent and we donā€™t have the mental bandwidth to realize we are heading towards a facist regime. There are a lot of us who still think Trump is just talking out of his ass and isnā€™t actually going to ā€œgo that far.ā€ We have too many people fearing that they will lose money from their paychecks or be fired altogether if they leave work to protest. So, people are protesting a few hours on the weekend and returning to their corporate overlords on Monday at 9am sharp. We are so lost and thereā€™s no one here to unite us.

P.S. The 2024 election was rigged by Elon and the subreddit r/somethingiswrong2024 will show you how

I sit here wishing I could do more. But I have MS and my medication is $27,000/month. Thankfully I have excellent insurance so I only pay a $10 copay. So if I were to leave my job to join protests far away, my health would likely rapidly decline. Corporate America has a lot of us by the balls.
