He’s now so unlikable/unliked that if he wants to keep buying votes he’s going to have to do it quietly. His public endorsements will have a negative effect on a candidate.

Lets hope he'll keep doing it publicly then

u/SoulbreakerDHCC 2d ago

He will because he's that delusional

159

u/adumbrative 2d ago

Yeah, he's become toxic to everything he touches just like his actual partner-in-crime.

70

u/_Nigerian_Prince__ 1d ago

Yeah, he’s more scammy than a Nigerian Prince.

u/thatindianredditor 1d ago

Nigerian Prince and Elon Musk.

Two terrible scams ruining the reputation of Africans.

24

u/_Nigerian_Prince__ 1d ago

At least my scams don’t kill people

=-/

u/minahmyu 1d ago

Surprise surprise, it end up being a white man

South African prince

"Inverted midas touch", instead of gold turns everything to shit.

u/SerHodorTheThrall 1d ago

Trump isn't toxic to everything that he touches though. He just won a damn reelection. His cult of personality clearly has power.

Yes, Dems had 300k more votes than in the comparable 2023 Supreme Court election..but the GOP also had 250k more votes than in 2023. Trump supporters are still mobilized. Thats how they won last year, and it isn't going to change. They will show up until the day Donny dies. Remove Elon's clear antagonism and this is a MUCH closer race and there is no victory lap.

STAY ENGAGED

I want to be here to witness the narcissistic collapse. Nothing quite gives you the same level of schadenfreude

1

u/davossss 1d ago

As far as I can tell, Trump and Musk keep on winning. Unfortunately.

2

u/mobley4256 1d ago

They just lost some elections that are pretty good indicators on how the midterms will go. If Musk was winning Trump wouldn’t have put it out there that he’ll he leaving the administration soon.

40

u/dysmetric 2d ago

The only thing that will pull him out of the limelight is a nervous breakdown - both he and Trump are pathological attention whores that narcissistically confabulate narratives via psychological projection to defend their ego/self-image.

7

u/FML-Artist 1d ago

Yeh! What this guy said! Confabulate! Sad part is that they get a nervous breakdown, they go and take a 4-week break on their yachts etc. Me, I'm told to put some ice on it.

u/bluecows380 1d ago

Walk it off

3

u/lincoln_muadib 1d ago

Technically, whenever Angry Orange Baby Man has his feelings hurt, he puts I.C.E. "on it" too...

1

u/_gooder 1d ago

He has several a week. That's why he takes ketamine.

13

u/scriptingends 2d ago

Also true

3

u/chubrock420 1d ago

Insane you mean. Insanity is doing something over and over expecting different results.

2

u/kinsm4n 1d ago

He will because he’s a classic narcissist. Trump had the same effect on the 2018 elections but somehow became president again so I’m sure there’s a similar plan for Elon. More than likely just reality distortion with picking easy-win candidates that are already a foothold for republicans and then claim victory to build momentum on larger elections.

1

u/cnthelogos 1d ago

Ketamine is a hell of a drug.

1

u/NekulturneHovado 1d ago

Also it's illegal. Highly illegal. Iirc he can go to jail for buying voters.

1

u/cascadianindy66 1d ago

The old king is surprisingly not so delusional about the South African welfare queen evidently. No doubt he’s well aware the sponger just killed his brand.

31

u/Moony2433 2d ago

His ego forces him to do it publicly

3

u/omegapool 1d ago

His narcissistism and daddy issues won't let him

56

u/008Zulu 2d ago edited 1d ago

He lacks the self-awareness to do anything discreetly.

38

u/GrimbusWimbus 2d ago

He's also stuck in a echo-chamber where he thinks people actually like him.

19

u/TeaBagHunter 2d ago

Check the replies on his X account, they're literally calling that the supreme court election was rigged and the results are fake

8

u/koshgeo 1d ago

Of course. "The only valid election is my election", or if the person they prefer wins.

Then if they do win, they call anyone voicing displeasure at the outcome "sore losers". I guess they don't realize that making bogus claims about a "rigged" process is still being a sore loser, or they don't care.

16

u/SummonMonsterIX 2d ago

Well yeah, who is left on that hell site except sycophants and bots? It's just a propaganda generation machine for Musk now, as Truth is for Trump.

1

u/3BlindMice1 1d ago

Let's wait and see if Musk gets down on his knees and begs them not to audit the election

-3

u/HammerSmashedHeretic 2d ago

Which subreddit?

7

u/Shipairtime 1d ago

/r/Conservative

You know the echo chamber that removes dissenting opinion.

3

u/piranha_solution 1d ago

I'm sure his Kung Fu lessons with Ghislaine Maxwell were very discrete.

3

u/xenelef290 1d ago

He is in incapable of doing anything discreetly

1

u/Noblez17 1d ago

"Discreetly"

u/TazBaz 1d ago

It’s amazing how true that is world-wide, for the whole Trump admin.

The one silver lining of America getting so fucked up right now is it seems to be bringing the best out of the rest of the world. Vance endorsed the German far-right party AfD and it hurt them badly in the polls. The Canadian conservatives took a huge hit once Trump took office and started being all crazy. Poland’s right leaning populace seems to have looked at America and gone “ok, but not like that!” Europe pushing for partnerships and more being more serious about self defense. Hell crazy shit like China, Japan, and S. Korea all saying they’ll work together (to oppose American tariffs). It’s wild stuff.

1

u/Fudge_it666 1d ago

Well the Afd was the second largest party and for them it was a historical growth given that they are most recent party. it's okay to be enthusiastic but keep your words in check and don't spread misinformation, let events play out rather than prying and falling into the rabbit hole. As for poland they have been shooting and arresting at the border for some time now, which america began with again. So yeah saying that tip of the iceberg is the whole thing is wrong.

u/nominal_defendant 1d ago

Perfect response. Musk called people who receive social security, Medicare, and Medicaid “the parasite class.” But his companies have received $38 billion in taxpayer subsidies and handouts. His companies would have gone bankrupt without taxpayer money, but now he’s trying to cut the social security that we pay for. Musk is a parasite. r/parasiteclass

7

u/squish042 1d ago

why do you think he fits in so well with the gop? Because every accusation is a confession.

10

u/Background_Prize2745 2d ago

LOL he'll never do that. Making people love him is one of the main reason he's out there jumping like a jackass on stage. He wanted crazy fanboys like Krasnov.

7

u/Perryn 2d ago

And not be the center of attention while taking credit for something? He'd sooner hug his kids!

4

u/BannedForSayingLuigi 1d ago

He needs to be doing it publicly because he's trying to catch a bunch of fish with the same net. It's just like the lottery bribe to vote for Trump back during the election: it's a bribe he doesn't actually have to pay. Is it corruption if you lie about your corruption? Or does that mean there was no corruption in the first place? These are the kind of questions Elon Musk supporters ask themselves, then shrug in confusion and line up for the next fake lottery. If there any total fucking gullible assholes left.

1

u/RoughPay1044 1d ago

How will he get people to come to their rallies if they don't bribe them

1

u/Nukleon 1d ago

Take the money and vote against his interest lol

1

u/real_roal 1d ago

I mean there is no point in doing it quietly. The million dollar checks go to vetted people that already greatly support what Musk is doing, so it's all fake. And the idea of telling people he's giving away money is the whole point so he can get people out to vote for whoever he supports. If he did it quietly then he gets no benefit so he might as well just not do it.

1

u/hi_septan 1d ago

Shhh don’t say that out loud let him keep it up.

1

u/HookedOnPhonixDog 1d ago

It's happening here in Canada. Just a few months ago the Conservatives had a MASSIVE lead over any other party.

Now the Liberals in line to win a majority and the leader of the Conservatives may not even win his seat.

And it really took a turn when Trump endorsed Polievre, AFTER the 51st state bullshit happened.

1

u/whofusesthemusic 1d ago

he’s going to have to do it quietly

but then how will he be able to get attention for it?

1

u/Extension_Silver_713 1d ago

So is Trump, but he keeps gathering followers

1

u/Aidan--Pryde 1d ago

To be fair, he always was unlikeable. He just had positive PR, that resulted in people looking away and giving him passes again and again.

1

u/No-Temperature-977 48m ago

He would rather 💀 than do it quietly
