They use this as a manipulation strategy,

It makes it so that when they are caught and called out in it, that it comes across as a no u. Because they already accused you of it first. Then at the very worst for them, it will be one of those well, both sides are bad dismissals.

“The libs are just mad it’s our turn!”

The "our" is, quite interestingly really, not about Americans in general, if you notice. Almost like the 1% win says that perhaps some compromise about how things are run would be in order, and republicans are immature babies abusing the modern era of information technology to avoid participation in a tried and true democracy.

Yea it’s amazing how the internet has somehow made us all dumber. You’d think having all the world’s history and information available instantly would make us smarter but when people can’t tell the difference between data and opinion it’s pretty easy for manipulation and misinformation. Pretty fucking sad really.

That's how they control weak minded centrists.

Hell just look at them literally stealing the election this time after screaming about the 2020 election being stolen

It actually has a name DARVO - an acronym for "deny, attack, reverse victim & offender"

It's a common manipulation strategy of psychological abusers

It's the whole MAGA platform.

Dems should play smarter

It's more of a play dumb strategy

Accusation in a mirror. They make up crimes they want to commit then accuse the other side of them. Then they get to do those crimes because "the Left did it first".

Nazi tactic, straight from the playbook.

Yea and it is so obvious, but seems like most people are oblivious to it

It's a way for them to say "well the dems did it first!!!" to justify it.

And/Or "This is just a thing opposing groups say about each other."

RE: The stupid, politically motivated, completely and 100% baseless impeachments they tried to hit Biden with.

Now it’s “just a thing both sides do to each other” to the regressives, and it’s apparently not a big fucking deal to be impeached not once but twice.

It's the Republican credo. Rules for thee, not for me.

They use this as a manipulation strategy,

Yes, when the accusations are the same then the fight becomes white noise.

Think of kids in the back seat of a car. If the two kids are going "Bobby is on my side of the seat!" "Nuh-uh, Sally is on my side of the seat!" then the fight turns into white noise and you yell at both of the kids to shut up and behave! Where if the argument is "Bobby's playing his switch too loud!" "Well sally won't stop singing!" you can tell bobby to turn the headphones on, and Sally to be quieter. Different complaints lead to different solutions, but the same complaint is just noise!
