So bit niche, but the next class of ballistic missile submarines is named the Columbia Class, with the lead ship being the District of Columbia. I would find it lowkey hilarious if this administration did change DC’s name and for the next 50 years we’d have one third of our nuclear triad ‘misnamed’ before they even commissioned.
