I’d never heard of Tim until he was chosen to run for vice-president (I’m not American) but I love him & I hope he keeps going & giving them shit.

Lol, my Father in law is from MN and he's a republican. He doesn't like Trump, but he hates Democrats. He was complaining about some bill that Walz passed, but it didn't sound that bad to me. I asked why it was bad and he kind of stuttered, then asked who was going to pay for it. I said taxes. Because taxes are there to help people.

He didn't have an answer.

When Fox tells him what to think tomorrow he’s going to be having words with you.

Gonna look a bit different when he does with the stock ticker removed for the first time in 30 years. Must be an intern.

"Yeah but I don't wanna pay taxes. These people shouldn't be sucking the government tit"

These people live and die by rugged individualism when others need assistance

When they need help, it's just bad luck. When others need help, it's because they're bad people who chose that path, and they need to deal with the consequences of their actions

I think this is called the “fundamental attribution error”

My brother in law has a stupid answer for everything. This reminds me of him. I told him DOGE cut food for children and he said Elon was probably just cutting fraud. I asked where the indictments for fraud were. Crickets.

He literally says Elon is the smartest man on earth. It makes me so sad. Sooooo sad.

I'm a minnesotan, we also have a giant tax surplus, how we pay for things is pretty straightforward we already have the money.

Because taxes are there to help people.

This.

In countries that have free healthcare (or extremely reduced in cost), taxes are the main reason why you can have chronic health issues for life without going into generational debt. You might not need the healthcare when young and healthy, but when you're, oh how much you're going to need it...

Also to add, free school and uni for all gens means no loans unless you need living expenses during school (which will be cheaper than a full school loan).

Thanks taxes.

I've lived in MN my whole life and have not heard a single logical reason to be against Walz. Plenty of fear mongering and propaganda though

Taxes aren't just there, they are taken from people.
