Good for you! That’s impressive and takes some serious dedication. I’ve always had a problem actually counting calories mainly because I don’t know how many calories are in the foods Im eating. If I make a chicken salad for dinner, how do I know how many calories each part of the salad was? I feel like I’m missing something
I use myfitnesspal to track my calories. Almost anything with a barcode can be scanned. When it comes to recipes, you can import online recipes or enter them manually (100 grams red bell pepper, 200 grams pork tenderloin etc.) and it does the calculations for you. I cook every day - i import the recipes and then just tweak them as I cook. I'm not super fussy about the portions, i'll tell the app it makes four servings and eyeball the serving sizes when i dish it out.
