OH MY GOD, AFTER 25 YEARS CHEVROLET IS FINALLY BRINGING THE LUMINA BACK!!!
[It’s an electric crossover suv]
On a more serious note, I’m surprised they’re allowed to do this.

I would 100% buy and updated version of a lumina. We need more passenger cars back on the market that are not ev or crossovers

I mean, I would take an EV passenger car at this point.

They probably don’t receive any manufacturer support from Chevy so they don’t care. Hendrick would 100% need to get permission to do this.

Imagine if this sparks Chevrolet to allow teams to run past car branding instead of being model ambiguous.
Some teams run Luminas, others Monte Carlo, Impala, SS, etc

If Ford ever starts letting that happen someone needs to do a full Underbird

That is still one of my favorite throwbacks ever. They got everything right but the number obviously. TBR also did a throwback to this but it doesn't look right not being on a Ford or with the actual sponsor

Wonder if he will be allowed to race that way. Back in the 2000's RCR would always show up with the 2 Xfinity car saying TWO CAR instead of Monte Carlo on the nose, but Chevy made them change it before the races.

They may not be getting any factory support, which means they can do what they want.

That absolutely does not mean that. NASCAR has very strict rules about vehicle branding and requires the correct decal set for the manufacturer you are registered to run for that race. They fined an ARCA team last year for running Toyota stickers on a Mustang body.

Hell, Willie Mullins showed up with Mustang Mach E decals on his car for an ARCA test just for laughs a couple years ago, and they made him change them.

There's still very likely NASCAR rules about car branding in addition to the manufacturer guidelines.

This is sick. They're running a car that doesn't even exist anymore anyway, I don't see the harm in this.

that's actually dope, I remember other teams have tried to do something similar in the past but the manufacturer said no.
I guess since the Camaro technically no longer exists Chevy let em have at it.
