They may not be getting any factory support, which means they can do what they want.

That absolutely does not mean that. NASCAR has very strict rules about vehicle branding and requires the correct decal set for the manufacturer you are registered to run for that race. They fined an ARCA team last year for running Toyota stickers on a Mustang body.

Hell, Willie Mullins showed up with Mustang Mach E decals on his car for an ARCA test just for laughs a couple years ago, and they made him change them.

There's still very likely NASCAR rules about car branding in addition to the manufacturer guidelines.
