These beautiful 'I'iwi are critically endangered with only about 150,000 left in hawaii due to habitat loss, invasive predators, and avian malaria spread by mosquitos thats decimated native bird populations :(

I have a plushie 'i'iwi on my desk at work. I have to warn people not to squeeze it because there is a device inside that will start playing its call VERY LOUDLY if they do.
