It's more like tunnel diving on a reef. I did this Cosumel a while ago.

Beautiful place. You can see straight to the bottom in 60ft of water from above the surface.

Now why would Ariel want to leave all THAT for living on land? Iβm a grown ass woman and idc I will always wish to be a mermaid π

That's probably a Cenote with open/collapsed roof, there are many in Yucatan, Mexico. It's amazing even just to snorkel when there are the rats of light enlightening hidden entrance underwater. Scary, mysterious and amazing at the same time

Actual cave diving is damn dangerous

Over 300 divers have died in underwater caves since the 70s, mostly from running out of air or getting lost in the labrynth of tunnels.

I would literally find a way to live down there. I would become one with the ecosystem, take care of it, become it's protector, become Aquaman, just so I can live there

Shame I cannot add my photo from 30 years ago, when I worked in Marsa Alam as a dive instructor .. I have dived this coral overhead environment (It is not a cave. Its only 6m deep) and it hasnt changed ... except for the bazillions of fish I saw!!
Where is all the marine life {sob}
Thought for the day: This is taken inside a coral reef .. a huge colony of mini beings .. you are the space invader!!!
