Should i buy it

I’m eyeing a 2019 nissan rogue with 130k kms. Asking 10k CAD for it. The car was with my local priest and i know he takes care of it. My only worry is the transmission. Should i get it? How often do trans fail and usually at what mileage?

2023 Rogue SV Premium with Panaramic Sunroof

Upvotes

My Rogue is vibrating more after recent fix at dealership on a car with less than 20k miles. Someone traded it in at 10k miles so I am now believing it was 4 a reason other than upgrading to Ford Expedition for larger family. Yet still maybe true. AC went down not blowing correctly temp wise or one side workimg other side not.

This vibration that I am noticing maybe even more now bc I am looking for problems out of fear is bothering me. Is this normal? Nissian so far has been a great experience yet turning into a very nervous getting ready to chuck it experience

New 2025 SL AWD Premium; Still Getting Used to It

So far, I'm loving this new Rogue! Coming from a 2021 Subaru Outback Limited, I love the higher seats, better ride, fit/finish, and amenities. One of my favorite features is its SiriusXM integration. I no longer have to hit various SXM presets to find a song I like...this system shows the artist playing on all the presets. Very cool!

Still getting used to the infotainment system, though. For example, today I got in the car and it went immediately to wireless Apple CarPlay. Which is fine. But when I wanted to switch to SiriusXM, I couldn't figure out how. Tapping the Home icon on the screen showed, in the music pane, the Apple CarPlay song that was playing. Tapping the Music icon showed the song currently playing. Didn't see any way to simply change the music source to SiriusXM.

I ended up telling "Hey Google" to play one of my SiriusXM presets, which worked fine.

I'm sure I missed something super obvious, and am hoping someone here can show me the error of my ways?

2011 nissan rogue clunk when accelerating at low speed

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been trying to find the source of a single distinct clunk noise that happens on my car for the better half of a year. It only happens when I left off the gas at a slow speed or when I give it gas after it coasts at a slow speed or from a stop. I’ve replaced both cv joints (entire assembly) because the boots starting leaking grease on both sides from a split in the boot a couple years ago. And recently I replaced both wheel bearings in the front. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a normal amount of play in the wheel? Or if anyone has any other ideas on what could be causing the issue.

Have this warning on my dash for the front sensor 2019 rogue sport

Came on recently. It’s been staying on. Sometimes it goes away and comes back once I start driving. I saw other say to disconnect the battery, and I did and it still on. Is there anything else I can check? I also wiped the emblem in case it was dirty but there wasn’t much dirt. What more can I try other than full replacement?

Opinions on 2021 SV w/ 2.5L 4cyl

My girlfriend is feinding for a new vehicle like a cat in heat. I come from a family of Honda and Toyota and we drive our vehicles into the ground. A combination of her budget, requirements in options, and my overbearing worry about what she is investing a significant portion of her yearly wage into has led us to the Rogue. She test drove a 2023 SL 1.5L turbo and fell in love. I had not done any research prior to and after about 2 minutes of clicking through google posts HARD stopped my support for their new engines. After some digging, I found that some 2021 models were produced with the 2.5l. The general opinion on the web seems to be that this is a pretty reliable motor with acceptable power for most and the only concern seemed to be more related to maintaining the CVT trans properly.

I found a 2021 Rogue SV w/ 2.5L 4cyl: 29k miles $23.9k out the door. Single owner, no accidents, clean service history.

Thoughts? Opinions? Things I should be aware of?

I'm not sure how much longer I can hold her off... please help!

Just bought a 25 SV with the premium package. What "essentials" do I need?

I just bought my third Nissan. Bought a mini pickup in 1995 and put 200,000 miles on it. But a Sentra in 2014 and put 300,000 miles on it. (Not one problem with either of them, ever, until the transmission blew on the Sentra a month or so ago, but hey, 300,000 miles I assume that's expected).

Anyway. I'm just wondering what "essentials" I need for this vehicle. I plan on keeping this one for quite awhile, and I don't have near the commute anymore, so I won't be putting a massive amount of miles on it. Just wondering what quality of life items would be needed to make these stay brand new as long as possible (stuff like steering wheel covers, floormats, etc.).

Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

2025 Nissan Rogue - Gasoline Question

Hey everyone!

I recently purchased a new 2025 Nissan Rogue SL. I used to use the Unleaded 88 fuel for my 2023 Nissan Pathfinder that we turned in and I’m wondering if that’s ok to use in the new Rogue. I know the manual says at least Unleaded 87 but was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the Unleaded 88?

Thanks!

2022 Rogue: OK and volume down buttons stuck on steering wheel

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hello all, tried finding a solution to this, but my car is literally 1,002 miles outside of this warranty. My OK and down volume buttons aren’t working and the OK button is stuck in. I took the directional control button cover off and it’s a weird little mechanism where it may have lost a spring? I’m not sure. Any insight would help. One video said you need to replace the steering wheel. And I’m not looking at dropping $500 atm for a steering wheel, but my dash is wigging out. The shop wants to charge $170 an hour.

I did take contact cleaner to it, but hasn’t worked.

2011 Nissan Rogue. Diagnosis / Repair. Transmission questions. I know the reputation....

So we got this 2011 Nissan Rogue 4 cylinder for 700 bucks because it needs valve stem seals and solenoids. 136k miles on it.

Curiously, it'll drive in Neutral and Drive, reverse does NOTHING at all except roll forward slightly. No effing idea how he got it in the parking spot backwards lol

Am I looking at valve body and solenoids or could this possibly be a shifter cable misalignment? I know the reputation of these transmissions and can always pull one from a junker and get it rebuilt if need be.

Wondering if anyone knows these things well enough to tell me what might be going on.

It drives BUTTERY SMOOTH In forward gears going down the road. Yes, this is a CVT

Greatly appreciate any info! Thank you in advance!

-Tim

Recommended Service Intervals

I'm a bit confused regarding the recommended service intervals for my new 2025 Rogue SL Premium AWD I picked up yesterday.

Unless I was misreading it, the owner's manual shows 7,500 mile service intervals.

Most of the dealer websites I found (when searching for this) indicated 5,000 mile service intervals.

My dealer salesman, when he was doing the quick familiarization with me yesterday, changed the service intervals to 4,000 miles.

Is there a definitive answer to this (given that I'd consider my usage as "standard", and not extreme)?

2024 Rogue Platinum

I am having serious issues with mine about to lose my mind. My vehicle has been in the shop numerous times. Where do I start

  • stereo issues volume gets stuck on high and you can not change it stereo system on back order ti be replaced

  • sometimes only half my speakers work

  • my trunk opens when you walk by. At times when you are putting something in trunk closes on you

  • twice vehicle in reverse but car goes forward (by the way this is how I totalled my 2021 in Aug)

  • power steering errors my lose power steering

  • errors air bags may not go off in the event of a collision

  • car starter doesn't always work and then sometimes when car is warming up the alarm randomly goes off

  • the latest when I stop at a light and the car turns off to save gas my seats clicks twice and the seat goes back so I can no longer hit the break

I am sure I am forgetting something.
