I looked back to January photos (when I first started) to my most recent April photos. So far I’ve lost 27lbs and I’m feeling amazing just seeing the difference. I’m back down to my pre-pregnancy weight and I’m so happy. I still have 40lbs until I meet my goal weight but it feels so attainable, finally!

I'm in day 2 after my first Oz shot (.25). I was expecting all kinds of side effects and was (and am) prepared for anything. So far so good eating small, protein rich meals and drinking a LOT of water. I'm pretty blown away by the appetite suppression. For someone that usually eats a lot, I'm barely hungry. I just ate dinner and made it through half before I knew I was done. It's crazy to be able to stop eating.

I take my Oz on Friday night. By Sunday afternoon I know I’m going to have a bit of nausea, no vomiting, headache, lower abdominal cramps leading to an episode of diarrhea. I’m willing to accept this Sunday of course because I’m getting 6 days of great effects, weight loss, not hungry & my blood sugar under control. I think my one day a week of suffering a little is so worth the benefits. I’m wondering if other Oz users are experiencing the same thing & if you’ll keep using it because the benefits far out weigh the one day of side effects?

He refuses to go to a doctor maybe 280 pounds eats really poorly. Donuts ice cream fast food fried trash. Down plays his diabetes doesn’t take his blood sugar test because of the finger pricks. It’s been about a week maybe 6 days of him either not eating or puking when he eats.

Hello! I'm not sure if this will help anyone else who is insured with United Healthcare, but I had an enlightening conversation with my coworker last week. I noticed her husband lost a ton of weight in a short time frame of about 3 months earlier this year. I didn't want to be nosy at the time, but last week, she mentioned he'd been on Ozempic. I asked her if they had been paying out of pocket for it, and she said that our insurance at work was covering it. She confirmed that he was not diabetic but prediabetic, so I asked her how this was possible.

She mentioned he also has sleep apnea, and the two together qualify. I, too, have sleep apnea, and my A1C has me at prediabetic, so I tested that theory this past Friday (4/4/25) at my doctor's appointment. They completed a prior authorization for me, and it was approved the next day! Now, instead of $250+ dollars out of pocket from a compounding pharmacy, it is costing me $24.99. I hope this helps others out as well.

NSV lol (49F) recently lost some weight 30lbs and luckily, happily I'm feeling myself again. Just enough to want some male company and tonight all the stars aligned so I got showered, shaved and lotioned. I'm grown and I was totally about to be a ho lol not a total slut since it's a man that I've been talking to for a few weeks. But I Just get here and omg the worst attack of gas ever that I had to make an excuse to leave before anything even happened!! And now I'm here laughing and stinky burping in my car by myself!! Maybe it was Jesus saving me but still I can't help laughing and I had to share it somewhere with someone.

This is a super vulnerable post for me so please be nice this year I promised myself that I would take back my health and make sure I felt better. In 2020 I was diagnosed with PCOS, if u don't know what PCOS is it's a lot to do with hormones & unfortunately it can be very difficult to manage. Since 2020 | gained around 100 pounds. I've never been super skinny but it got to a point where my mental and physical health were taking a toll. I had tried every diet, every exercise and all I was doing was gaining weight. So in October I decided to go on a GLP 1 medication to help my hormones and insulin resistance. Since then I have lost 30 pounds! I have never felt better not only physically but mentally. I am now starting to see a physical difference & it's insane! Taking GLP 1 meds isn't something u should be ashamed of and in fact I believe should be something that is used as a tool to help people who r struggling! Yesterday we pulled everything out of the closet that no longer fits. Since I've yo-yo'd over the years, I've got some stuff I can wear, but it's all big. At 74, I'm finally approaching the weight I was when I was 16.

So I went back to my endo ( I am also T2 diabetic) for the quarterly appointment and medication refill. Told her that I am having lot of food noise and appetite seems to be getting back on 1mg with weight loss stalled since Jan after losing 16kg. I started taking Ozempic from June 2024 and I am oscillating between 89-91 kilos since past 3 months with no further loss. She tried to switch me to Mounjaro but my insurance rejected it because my A1C is 6 as per last blood tests done in September. For Mounjaro to be approved, it has to be 8 or more. So I had to take my usual quarterly supply of Ozempic (3 pens). My other option is buy it directly without insurance which is 1300 Saudi Riyals per pen ($350 approx). Paying for it out of pocket is not feasible in the longer run so I decided to go back to OZ. I don't know what I am going to do with mounjaro not being approved and Oz not working for me any longer. I still have 20 kilos to get rid of. Ughhhh 😬

Was about to go to bed and felt really bad: weak, hot, etc. Took my blood sugar and it was 75 so grabbed some fruit and bread. Began to feel better. The weird thing is I had a couple of pieces of pizza for dinner around 7, dessert around 7:30, later a couple of small handfuls of nuts and tea with 2 tsp sugar. The low blood sugar seems weird to me in light of all that food. I'm only on .5 of Oz and Jardiance for my T2D. Has anyone else experienced this?

Got a script for oz. Figured why not lose the winter weight. Week 1 + 2 I noticed a spike in my anxiety which I looked up here and saw many people saying the same. The last 2 weeks however I have progressively felt shittier physically. Malaise/a general feeling of unwellness/weak/lethargic/no energy - Honestly I just feel like ass.

In terms of it helping in terms of appetite I kinnnnda notice it I think...But not entirely sure.

I'm about to go up to .50 for the month so I figured I would ask about all this before the jab =)

Has this made others feel this way? More the physical / feeling like ass part than the anxiety.

Yes I know there is non zero chance for pancreas inflammation or sight impairment or yoyo effect but for now I just don't care. For the first time in my adult life I'm not hungry all the time and I can focus more on other activities than eating, and I don't have sugar brain fog. To quote a classic, I feel like I've been standing all my life and I just sat down.

I’m one month on lowest dose. I am having very little side effects except exhaustion. Severe exhaustion to the point I can’t push through it. I’m drinking plenty of water and even adding supplements. I make sure to get my protein daily but nothing is helping. Does this side effect get easier?

Hi everyone, when I started taking Ozempic, I swear I lost 10kgs in the first month, it was crazy. I've been going through a lot of stuff personally, and I started binge eating again, food noise is back, and I feel like I broke Ozempic, in the sense that I can eat like I did before. I feel so hopeless, like nothing will ever help me, not even Ozempic. I don't know what to do anymore. I was thinking to stop for a couple of months and start again, but I'm so scared. I tried so many things before Oz, I went to therapy. I'm just so close to giving up.

It's almost all done. Plunger is almost completely out of sight but I can see a teeny bit left. It cranks just a few clicks. Don't want it to go to waste.

I had been taking 2mg of semaglutide per week and was having very inconsistent results. Most of the time it has a very minor effects that would wear off on day 3-4. Some weeks it would work great and sometimes it felt like I didn't take it at all.

I tried spreading my dose out but dipping down from 2mg to 1mg twice a week when I sometimes barely felt the effects of 2mg wasn't much of a solution either.

Thankfully I have little to no side effects other than the burps occasionally but I was getting very little intended effects as well. I still very much had "food noise" all of the time and craved sweets more than I ever had before taking a GLP-1.

I had taken it for 12 months, I lost 40lbs in the first 3 months and 5-10 more over the remaining 9 months. (290 - ~245). I wasnt putting in any extra effort to lose weight at the time. I didn't try any special diet and I wasnt getting regular excersize. I just new all my portions were much smaller.

I was off it for 5 months and was able to maintain my weight between 245 and 250 as I started excersizing regularly playing pickleball. While I was off of it, I had been prescribed Naltrexone which had a very minor effect of curbing cravings. Not enough to really help lose weight but enough to help maintain it.

I got back on semaglutide last month and taking it in concert with Naltrexone has been a night and day difference. I finally understand what it feels like to not have food noise or feel like I want to eat even if I'm not hungry.

I am confident that it is the interaction with Naltrexone as I had a mixup with my prescription and was not able to take it for a week, and during that time, the semaglutide started feeling weaker as it had previously. And once I got back on the Naltrexone the following week, the desired effects returned.

Just wanted to share my story in case anyone else out there is like me and feels resistant to the effects of semaglutide, even at a high dose of 2mg.

23F 5’5” Sw:215 CW:194 Started on .25 on Feb 17th and increased to .5 one month in. My goal weight is 160 and I know this fast pace won’t continue, but I’m celebrating my progress so far! I weighed myself for the first time in 2 years at the start of 2025 and for the first time in my life I was over 200 and I know I needed to make a change. If you’re considering using Oz make the leap! The cost is well worth the improvement in my confidence 😁

-60 lbs later….. I feel like I’ve reached my goal but I’m SO SO SCARED to stop taking it… I feel like I’d just blow up again without it

I (48F) 5’2” started on the lowest dose of Ozempic mid November at 177lbs. I am currently at 151lbs and have been on 2mg for about a month. I’ve gone from XL to medium in a hoodie, XL to large in a Tshirt, and from a size 10 to a size 6 in jeans. I’m a 42dd and that has not changed. My weight is in my belly and my goal is 130lbs. I stay at 20g of carbs or less per day. Eat healthy but usually once or twice a day. Don’t really do a lot of working out. Work and family keeps me busy. I have a Withings scale and it seems to indicate I’m doing well with keeping my muscle mass and staying hydrated. Is it possible to have more body recomposition and not weight loss? Not gonna lie other than having to buy new clothes, I don’t see a difference. My doctor acted like I was at a plateau and is not happy with my weight loss.

Edit to add lost 11lbs first two weeks. I’ve been freezing cold since first shot. Headaches first 2-3 days after shot. Have allodynia on shoulders to back to waist after going to 2mg.

Just got prescribed Oz this week. First dose was today. Both my doctor and pharmacist neglected to tell me that you're supposed to refrigerate the pen prior to your first usage.

It wasn't cold when I got it, why do you have to refrigerate prior to using it? It seems as though once you use it once you can keep it at room temperature.

Cusios as to why and also wondering if I'm going to have adverse effects since I didn't.

Can’t seem to reduce it, I know mood is common but headaches that feel almost like minor migraines too?

After 13 months on Ozempic I reached my goal weight. My Dr took me off Oz so off course my appetite and food noise is back full force.

Yesterday I enjoyed some Chinese food. I did get chicken and broccoli which seemed healthier than my usual sesame chicken.

This morning when I got on the scale I had gained 2 pounds. I eat at maintenance amount (1800) everyday and yesterday was the first time I may have went over. I do eat two slices of pizza every other week but stay under my calorie allotment.

Could the weight gain just be from the sodium in the food I ate? I don't want to undo all I have accomplished.

Has anyone had success with using milk of magnesia to help with side effects ? I am unable to keep food down, it is not digesting. Pretty sure it’s just sitting in my stomach because it’s still whole when I am vomiting. I am also unable to have a BM which I am assuming is because It won’t digest lol.. anyone have this happen and if so did the laxative help? I have to work tomorrow and it’s a new job I don’t want to have to call out :( Thank you.
