Hello Pens family. I know this isn’t about hockey, but I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of you who had kind words for my fiancée and I in this difficult time. Truthfully, I didn’t expect the level of support that I got between comments and messages, and I certainly teared up a few times reading the love and support from so many of you.
I wish it was possible to individually thank each of you, but this post would just be a chaotic giant wall of tagged user names. Regardless, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate every single one of you. You all made this shitty time a lot easier and I had no idea how much so many of you appreciated the effort I put into the GDTs. It truly means so much to me, sincerely. ❤️
Finally, everyone give a HUGE shoutout and thanks to the Star of the game u/starlightequilibrium for filling in for me with the awesome game day thread. I know a lot of people appreciate you so much for keeping things going, and I certainly know how much work they can be to make at the level of quality you provided. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Absolute MVP my friend.

Hi guys,
My daughter and her school band are playing at the first period intermission this Friday for the WBS Penguins/ Hershey Bears game and my wife and I have been offered discounted seats to watch the game.
We have a reserved section...section 201. We need 2 tickets and the remaining seats available are 9-15 in row D.
So, my simple question is, would it be better to get seats 9-10, or should I go for 14-15 to possibly have an end seat/easy exit and maybe nobody beside us if seat 13 isn't taken?
I'm thinking seats 9-10 might be slightly better viewing angle, but then we're in the middle of the row. Are there exits on both sides of that row in section 201 or just where it joins section 202?
I realize there probably isn't much of a difference, but I just wanted pushed one way or the other.
Thanks!

Finally picked up my bag at my parent’s house! Don’t know what the future holds for Tomasino but he’s been a pretty solid trade. September 2023, Ryan Graves came to our house to “deliver” our season tickets. He hasn’t panned out that well but he’s a cool dude. The tallest man I’ve ever seen in person. I’m only 5’2.

I’ve seen a lot of people seem genuinely mad that we’re winning games. I get where they’re coming from but here’s the thing: giving up is not in the blood of our franchise. Guys like Crosby, they have too much respect for the game that they won’t just lay down and stop trying to lead the team to winning, and even though we’re not making the playoffs I’ll always enjoy watching our guys go out there and play well.
In regards to a lottery pick… even when you are a bottom 10 team, a high pick and a good prospect is not guaranteed. Yes it would be exciting to get a high pick, but let’s not forget what we have going in WBS, guys like Hayes, Brunicke, Murashov, and of course McGroarty, Pickering, and Koivunen are showing great potential already at a NHL level. You don’t always need a top 5 pick if you’re instead focusing on developing current young guys. Regardless, we have an insane amount of picks in the coming years anyway.
TLDR: I really don’t think we’re screwing ourselves over by not tanking, and getting mad at us winning is silly. But also this is just my opinion and not gospel.

Hello fellow penguins fans! I want to share with you my passion project I have worked 3+ years on for following player and team stats. It's a fun tool to use and 100% ad-free and no sign ups, popups, etc. I'm very open to feedback and feature improvements. I hope it's ok to post this :)

1/5 black bags. Kevin Hayes puck... Not bad...

What an interesting prospect he is haha. High risk high reward Tage Thompson like player. Injury problems with his back for most of this year but has had his fair share of highlights. Huge centre at 6’5 with very silky hands and is a pretty good skater from what I’ve seen. Draft projections are wild varying from like top four to late teens because of the injury.
If we finish bottom six or seven would you guys take the risk on someone like him? If not, then who are some guys you’d like to see us get in that range.

How many other Penguins have worn neck guards? I can't think of one and I've watched them for almost 40 years.

First of all, as bad it sucked to watch our boys lose, it was pretty incredible to see that Crosby hat trick! My family and I go to games pretty often and we have never seen more away fans than we did today, you guys shows up and they showed out, good on you! Hats off to you guys!!
P.S. my kids collect game day pucks with the dates stamped on them for the games they’ve been to! If anyone bought an extra to sell, I would happily buy one to add to our collection! 🙏🏼
I usually snag one during the first intermission or before the game but I think you guys bought them all out before the game started 😂 when I found that out I knew our boys were going to have a rough day

Before we dive into the usual game day nonsense, we want to take a moment to send some love to one of our own, u/Attack_On_Tiddys. If you’ve been around here this season, you already know they've been the heart and soul of these game threads.
Unfortunately, Tiddys is dealing with the loss of their beloved dog, Mika, and won’t be posting today. As a community, we just want to say how deeply sorry we are and that we're thinking of you. This thread’s for you, bud. Stick taps all around.

The Pens roll into Chicago after a vibe-heavy win over the Stars, and for a team that’s been floating somewhere between "mathematically eliminated" and "chaotic playoff spoilers," it felt really good to see the boys buzzing like that. We’re technically not dead yet, but let’s be real, most of us are non-stop looking at the draft rankings. That said, this stretch of games is about more than ping-pong balls.
We’re seeing the future. Koivunen and McGroarty have brought some juice. Rutger is riding a point streak and is starting to look like a real piece of the puzzle. We may be in the final days of the 2024–25 season, but these reps matter — for the kids, for the locker room, and for the culture.
Sure, maybe we’re accidentally playing our way out of a higher draft pick, but if this team is going to turn the page, they need to remember what it feels like to win. The core is aging, the window’s murky, but wins like the one in Dallas? That’s what keeps the room believing. The young guns playing free and fast — that’s the energy we want heading into next year.
It’s a trip to Chicago tonight. If we’re boosting their lottery odds, we’re at least cashing in some rookie and Sid points as payment.
Lineup update: Philip Tomasino is being evaluated for an upper-boddy injury. Joona Koppanen is slotting back in.

Hes really impressing me these last few games I'd like to see him play with geno next year geno lacks motivation this year would help geno. Mcgroarty is something the pens haven't had in a while a net front presence and a guy that can score in close I think hes gonna be a stud of a player also excited for ville koivunen.

Hello everyone, unfortunately today was one of the worst days of my life, and I truly feel as if a large part of me is missing now. Thank you all for your kind words about Mika. Unfortunately, I saw no part of our game against Dallas and purely don’t have the energy or care to read through the game day thread right now to see what happened. To be honest I don’t even know if we won or not as hockey is the last thing on my mind right now. If someone could make a game day thread tonight for tomorrow’s game I would really appreciate it.
