My Steam account got hacked because I clicked the wrong thing like a dumbass once and I had it back in 10 minutes. My account was created in 2004 and has over 1250 games, so they probably sent in Seal Team 6.

I will stan for Gaben, he does right by his customers.

like does resetting your account so you can set a new password and login again require seal team 6? I'm not clear on what all these posts are implying that steam did other than this?

No, they also found and executed whoever made the link on the spot.
