the guardsman represents the scammer/hacker, in universe, they are basic troops, susceptible to chaos, in this case, scamming/hacking steam accounts, prompting steam support to unleash violence

If those are Black Templars they sometimes "dispose" of any leftover Guardsmen after a Chaos incursion in order to limit further corruption iirc. Not a universal policy for say, the Salamanders or Ultras AFAIK, but not super uncommon I think.
