Feedback Ranked Mode Locked Daily?

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere but I don't understand why ranked seems to close daily. It's 10:30am on a Saturday and I can't play ranked mode. What is the logic behind this decision? It seems absolutely insane to lock the mode daily. I imagine plenty of people with uncommon work schedules never get a chance to play ranked whatsoever. I don't much care to play unranked, so being forced into it only makes me want to exit the game entirely for the day. I guess this is both a question and a rant to suggest change.

PSA/Guide Alright I have 49 loot cores! Who’s ready for tomorrow’s video?

Yin is staring down my cores! Tomorrow I’m planing on recording me opening 50 of them all at once and see what can I cure with the RNG with quick succession.

This is all for fun, and along with this I’m wondering. Any chance I can hit 50 likes or 50 comments (preferably likes since it’s harder), before I reveal the video! It’s possible I’m willing to stream this on twitch.

Discussion Do you think a hat/symbiotic character would work in this game?

I’m wondering if a character like Abathur from Heroes of the Storm would work in this game. A character that attaches to other characters. If you are unfamiliar with him, he does a couple things,he can drop mines globally that do a little bit of poke damage and he can attach himself to another hero and heal the hero or deal damage but he cannot pilot himself when he’s in that mode so his body is just sitting in the world. He also summons little bug minions that help siege towers, and things like that they but have a limited shelf life off of where his body is positioned incentivizing you to put him somewhere in lane rather than keep him in base. If it were to be implemented how would you like to see it done? Or would you at all?

Feedback Ideas for improving Brawl

I've thought of a few things I wanted to share in case it is has development plans. I know Brawl is not the primary focus of Predecessor either, but I think it has value. Or maybe nobody is playing and none of this matters.

  • The current mode is difficult to enjoy due to the focus on prime. It feels good having two approaches - you can 'play the lane' or you can 'brawl', maybe both. But prime gives too much and is distracting overall. Comeback options are needed, and brief, high priority obj. seems alright, but current state is bad, I think everyone already agrees on this.
  • Laning in Brawl has some gaps, there are times where you just waiting on a wave, or running from base to the current fight/obj. You can poke, get buffs, or just stare at the sky. There are too many times where I'm frustrated by being 'away from the action'. Not sure how to fix, or if map change helps. It does offer a passive 'reset', a dying cycle in Brawl is just as bad as it is in Standard. Chivalry has a brawl mode that resets on team wipe, which emphasizes teamwork a little.
  • Could the studio test ideas or items in Brawl? It could be seen as a 'beta' area. On the flip, you could make Brawl maps just areas from around the main map. Why not Brawl in places that carry into the standard modes?
  • QOL - Brawl 'challenges' (get a penta, get 5 stuns, use crest x times, etc), add a rematch option, MVP vote or awards

I think Brawl allows for a place to sharpen skills and try new ideas. The unconventional teams are fun too. The challenge seems to be that nobody likes the blending of Brawl and Standard/Ranked. Being too serious in Brawl or carrying over a 'Brawl' mindset into Standard, the pacing and the points are awarded differently, it is messy. Under this current meta, Brawl bleed into Standard is worse.

Brawl is bloated overall, it's where you go when you are a) warming up, b) tired of standard c) tired of losing d) testing ideas e) trying to enjoy the game style of Brawl. You get wild spikes of skillsets, especially with groups and comms now.

I don't think Brawl should be ranked. Brawl and Standard should complement each other more, but I do not know how to marry them. Hopefully these are useful or bring about better ideas.

Discussion My opinion as a girl on “sex sells” in pred

Now I agree Sex appeal in character design can be a powerful tool when used intentionally and appropriately for the character and I’m fine with that! I absolutely don’t mind a sexy women once in a while, but it for real becomes lazy and uninspired when it’s the default approach for every female character.

When Sex Appeal Works in Character Design: If It Matches the Character’s Personality & Role – A character like Bayonetta (Bayonetta) or Evelynn (League of Legends) or even our very own countess . Are designed with seduction and confidence in mind. Their sex appeal isn’t just visual

it’s a core part of their identity, movement, and how they interact with the world.

If It’s Integrated with the Theme & Aesthetic – A succubus, a goddess of beauty, or a femme fatale assassin might naturally have a sensual design because it fits their role. If a character’s appeal is woven into their lore, abilities, and personality, it feels purposeful rather than forced.

If It’s Balanced with Other Design Elements – Sex appeal can coexist with strong, intricate design choices. Characters like Ivy (Soulcalibur) or Morrigan (Darkstalkers) have revealing outfits, but their silhouettes, colors, and accessories make them visually distinct beyond just their body shape.

Why It Shouldn’t Be the Default for Every Female Character:

It Limits Creative Diversity – If every female character is designed the same way (big chest, big hips, revealing outfit), it reduces variety and makes them feel generic. Compare how Overwatch designs women—Tracer, Zarya, Mei, and Widowmaker all have unique body types and aesthetics that fit their roles.

It Can Undermine the Character’s Concept – If a warrior, scientist, or battle-hardened veteran is overly sexualized in ways that don’t make sense for their personality or setting, it weakens their believability. A seasoned war general in high heels and a bikini armor isn’t practical or compelling unless the world justifies it.

It Can Feel Forced Rather Than Natural – There’s a difference between a character being attractive and a character being designed purely for male gaze appeal. A well-designed character should be interesting first—if they happen to be attractive, that’s a bonus, not the main feature.

Good vs. Bad Sex Appeal in Design:

Good: Bayonetta (fits theme & personality), 2B (NieR: Automata) (futuristic elegance, combat-ready), Jessica Rabbit (Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) (designed for exaggerated femininity).

Bad: A generic sorceress in fantasy armor that’s just lingerie, female characters who are sexualized while their male counterparts get practical armor (RPG syndrome).

Sex appeal should be a design choice, not a design crutch. It works when it enhances a character’s identity but falls flat when it’s used in place of real creativity.

Discussion Go play ranked, you sweaty try hards

Why are fully partied up veteran teams playing standard? Just trying to learn the nuances of the game and these megasweats come steamrolling in. This is why none of my friends will play the game. If you're that sweaty you should have your own lobbies.

PSA/Guide PSA: If your offlaner is solo'ing mini orb, dont steal it

Its so tiring when im soloing mini and the jungler just jumps into the pit, smites it and doesnt even go back with you to your lane to help push it, the only reason i want it is so i can shove my lane and go rotate to help the team, i cant think of a worse thing you could do to spite your team mate than stealing mini orb when they are perfectly capable of doing it solo.

Just because its in the jungle does not mean its all yours, you might think as a jungler its better in your hands but its absolutely not, you dont have the time to spend in lane shoving minions like the other laners do, you have camps to farm, just give it to the laner so you have one lane guarranteed pushed up to set up ganks in the others.

Feedback Patch notes writers give me a break!

Your application of language in the text is incredible!

Your descriptions of adjustments and details regarding nerfs and buffs are always very well written. They convey rationality behind buffs so they don't seem excessive. And they artfully soften the blow of nerfs - again providing excellent rationale to players who love the character.

The language used even compliments the lore, and promotes an educated discussion on the topics.

You speak to the community, through these patch notes, the way communities appreciate and deserve to be addressed.

It's respectful and descriptive, and we appreciate it. Your attention to these small details show your dedication to the larger ones. The patch notes are a pleasure to read.

Please keep up the good work!

I have always thought Gideon was a strong pick, and I only recently came back to playing only to realize that Gideon now has a root? And you can no longer take his portal? Who thought these were the changes he needed? What kind of illicit drugs were they taking? cause this is some twisted stuff.

I’ve always wanted this skin since it came out but I didn’t want to fork over the money for it. So glad I didn’t hehe. Another skin I received from these cores was the original Countess Shogun skin.

Imo they should add more recall skins and jump trail into the loot pool, everything else is just irl money.

Gotta love the RNJesus sometimes.

I thought those patch notes were just an AFJ but I cracked up hard when I loaded in to find tiny little Grux and Murdock on my team.

What else was legit in the patch notes?

So it’s nice that now you can get a bunch of skins etc. with the loot core system, but since you can’t grind Opals to get whatever you want from the Opal store, it would be appreciated if we could exchange unwanted skins for Opals.

Anyone experienced the error PRS-6? can’t login in on any device it’s been over 24hours now and definitely isn’t a connection issue (my end), support has forward it to the dev team, just waiting to here back. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced it or had it fixed?

I recently saw ThunderBrush share the new 3D model of Skylar without textures, and I got really curious about how she might look with them. So, I decided to add some myself!

I think she turned out great. Her new look will definitely be an improvement. Let me know what you think!

Discussion If you have a mic, please use it

Hate to be complaining again, but this has happened too many times now.

The amount of games where my friend and I have been in voice chat, and not a single other person talks.

This isn’t the issue. The issue is when teammates then suddenly decide to use their mics to tell us to surrender or complain.

Rather than using your mics for negativity, how about using them from the start to enable good communication throughout the match?

Last game we had, my friend and I went duo. Our team had no map awareness. Our midlane didn’t use mic at all, nor did they warn when their opponent was missing through the ingame chat, leading to some nasty ganks against both duo and off.

We tried communicating with everyone, asking for help with no response. It wasn’t until the near 20min mark that our jungler suddenly pipes up saying “surrender”. And then our offlane, accidentally I think, turned on their mic to just make weird grunting noises as they got into a team fight.

A lot of what happened could have been avoided through good communication, but my team at this time decided to only use it for negativity. A majority of the wins we’ve had recently involved a majority of the team actually talking.

Please…. Use your mics. It helps more than you think.
