Moderator Message Need Links/Phone Numbers/ Resources for crisis pregnancy centers and others akin
The sub needs to have resources so that women who are thinking about abortion, can use it to help them if they decide to keep the baby. If you have any resources link them here. We need recourses from all across the globe so if you’re in a different country it’s even better.

Moderator Message Pro Life Weekly Chat!
Good Wednesday Pro-Lifers! During these distressing times we can get very frustrated with ourselves, friends families and even society. Fret not, because this post is dedicated to you guys discussing a wide range of topics outside of abortions if you need too. Topics such as movies, sports, hobbies, current events or major events happening in the world and maybe even other politics if you choose too. This chat is your escape, to talk about other things as well and to further connect with other members of Pro-life. You are not restricted to any topics in the post, however follow Reddit's guidelines. Be nice, don’t spam, and have a good time. Since I am a bot this message will be repeated every Wednesday.

Pro-Life General I was left pregnant, need advice
I'm not too sure where to start but I need a lot of prayer and advice right now. I am currently 14 weeks pregnant. I (21F) myself was raised a non-denominational Christian. My partner (ex-partner) is Serbian Eastern Orthodox (21M). We are both students at university and live at home.
We were together for 9 months in a serious relationship and engaged in pre-marital sex. We agreed before having sex that in the event I end up pregnant we would stay together, marry and have more kids. For the last three months of knowing about the pregnancy, all we have discussed is this plan. He accompanied me to multiple ultrasounds and we were happy but scared about starting our lives together even if earlier than planned.
We initially discussed waiting to tell both our parents until we were ready. This last week I had to unexpectedly tell my parents I am pregnant. It was horrible timing, my partner and I were fighting and both said bad things to each other. I told him my parents knew as soon as I saw him later that day.
My parent's reaction, as Christians, was this: Everything will be ok. My partner and I need to marry before the baby is born and they will support us in any was possible for him to finish university, find a job and a house to live in. They were even saying he can live with us for as long as he needs to.
The day after I told him we were stupidly continuing our argument but as the day progressed we calmed down and agreed to stay together like we planned. My partner agreed this and he was adamant on finishing his degree (one year left) which I also agree with whole-heartedly. He also told me this was too soon to marry to which I was upset because we both agreed that having children out of wedlock is wrong.
He went home that night and told his parents. His parent's reaction, as Orthodox Christians, was this: They think I am trying to baby trap him, that me and my family must have planned this (my birth control failed). His parents told him that the baby might not even be his (it is 100% only possible to be his, and he knows I never cheated) and that they want a DNA test (only possible here after the baby is born). His parents urged him to breakup with me and leave me pregnant. They said the best case scenario would be that I get an abortion.
So he called me the next day, told me all of this and said we can't be together and that he doesn't see himself marrying me. I do not understand how his family who is devoutly religious could ever say such things, and especially say I should kill our child? Who is also their first grandchild.
I do not want to get an abortion, but I absolutely cannot raise this baby alone. I have no degree (not even close to finishing), no prospects and my parents are not wealthy by any means. I have tried talking to him outside of this but he keeps coming back to the one thing which is that he can't see a future with me because he can't see himself marrying me. I know his parents talked this into him and I know if they had said what my parents said then that is what would be happening right now.
My family thinks it is a terrible idea for me to turn up and talk to his parents, and I agree because they will most likely be aggressive and tell me to leave. Should I talk to the father from their church? My parents say they will make up lies and tell everyone I am a whore and that it isn't my partner's child.
I don't understand how these people can tell their son to abandon their child and the mother of his child, and that the best option for everyone would be if I killed our baby. Please help, I don't know what to do. I want to save my baby.

Evidence/Statistics JAMA says that after Roe v. Wade was overturned, young women's mental health got worse. The raw data doesn't show that.
If anything, these charts show that abortion bans improve women's mental health, while wokism makes them miserable. However, correlation does not equal causation.
It angers me that the media reported the JAMA study on the first slide as good science when they didn't even post their raw data.

Things Pro-Choicers Say Does Anyone Know of People Who Have Shifted from Pro-Life to Pro-Choice?
I hope the flair is correct; there wasn’t one that really fit the question well.
I'm curious if there are any members here who know someone who originally held a Pro-Life position but has since changed to the Pro-Choiceers. The reason I'm asking is that I've heard many stories about people who have shifted the other way (e.g. Abby Johnson), but none that go in this direction.
I can't immediately think of a reason why someone would make such a shift, other than perhaps someone adopting a Pro-Life view due to trends or without deeper conviction, only to later find themselves in a situation where an unplanned pregnancy created a difficult problem.
I'd like to expand my perspective on this, as there may be viewpoints I haven't considered. After all, only by truly understanding the other side's perspective can one effectively help.

Things Pro-Choicers Say God I hate Quora
The question was, “why are me trying so hard to block reproductive rights”. This was an answer. The last paragraph made me feel sick. “She takes matters of life and death into her own hands” do you not see a problem with that?

Things Pro-Choicers Say Pro-choicers on the topic of foster care
It's just really funny to me as a former foster kid interacting with pro-choicers because they always want to portray pro-lifers as "not caring about foster kids" but the moment you try to move PCers away from using foster kids as political pawns in the abortion debate, their masks come off and suddenly they become super hostile towards foster kids.

March For Life March 25th marked the three-year anniversary of when Terrisa Bukovinac and Lauren Handy recovered the remains of 115 abortion victims in DC, including five babies aborted late in pregnancy.
Last week we joined Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising and SBA Pro-Life America to commemorate this anniversary and demand justice for these children.
Thank you to each of you who contributed to making this trip happen. Your contributions have covered 57% of expenses so far. If you'd like to help cover the remaining 43% (two nights of lodging, $290), please donate here: https://ow.ly/nyoG50VtYK8

Things Pro-Choicers Say And why exactly should pro-lifers specifically be against this?
It’s weird but it has nothing to do with abortion. Also fun fact: I was actually familiar with this case because I’ve been super interested in royalty lately and the son is a descendant of one of the kings of Spain.

Questions For Pro-Lifers Where is the line drawn? A discussion about ectopic pregnancies
youtube.comFirst of all, I want to congratulate the mother in this situation for beating the odds and on the newest addition to her family.
In this case, this doctor briefly discusses a case where a mother chose to keep her ectopic pregnancy and not only survived but also gave birth to a healthy baby.
Her circumstances were rare in the sense that her ectopic pregnancy was implanter into a prior cesarean section scar rather than in the fallopian tubes.
He also goes on to describe how these types of ectopic pregnancies are becoming more common and that those who chose to keep these specific pregnancies tend to give live birth about 40% of the time.
But let's look at this legislation wise. Would a pregnancy with a 60% failure rate that would definitely harm the life of the mother vs 40% success be enough to force someone who doesn't want to take that risk?
Or are the simple dip in the favor against the mother be enough to allow her to chose her own life in this situation?
As much as I don't want to steal this woman's thunder with philosophical debates, unfortunately it's a very real possible scenario that needs to be addressed.
Where is the line drawn? And does this change things for how you view ectopic pregnancies?

Pro-Life Petitions How is aborting a baby because they have Down Syndrome not Eugenics
Nobody has been able to explain this to me. If you otherwise wanted a child but then found out it has Down Syndrome. The only reason you are killing that child is because of something they can’t control.
There is no excuse for any abortion obviously but this is a whole new level of immoral. I’m not gonna claim it’s easy to have children with Down syndrome but need flash having kids is difficult.
If you can’t raise it fine but don’t kill it. There are more parents on waiting list than kids adopted. (Pro choicers rarely talk about that)

Pro-Life General Yesterday we posted a video about the arrest and felony charges against Selena Maria Chandler-Scott, a woman who miscarried in Georgia. In response many SPL followers shared your own stories of miscarriage, with common themes of shock, confusion and a society ill-equipped to really help.
We’re humbled and honored that you shared these experiences with us. It’s important for society to grapple with the (very common) reality of miscarriage. We share these stories here in the hopes others will read, learn, and help us build a more compassionate culture.

Pro-Life General We need to start pushing our governments for paid maternity and paternity leave
I’m honestly heartbroken as a mom and as a prolifer for all the women suffering with no help and postpartum mental health issues. We need to push our governments, no matter what country we are in to make the lives of mothers easier by demanding that the government forces businesses to pay maternal and paternal leave in the first 3 years of their children’s lives.
What other things can we do to help mothers and family’s?

My Abortion Story My Would-Be Abortion
!! TW for SA !!
I will start this with a couple clarifications: I ultimately did not have an abortion because I did not become pregnant. I am not pro-life, but I do not want an abortion. Ever. I am pro-choice, I won’t go into why here because it’s not the place! :) I’m posting this here because the mention of it was very downvoted in the prochoice sub :P
Now that thats out of the way, this is my little mildly traumatic story that I feel people in this subreddit may be sympathetic to and possibly relate to. When I was 18, I was repeatedly sexually assaulted by my at the time boyfriend. He told me on many occasions that if I were to become pregnant, he would force me to have an abortion. Not only would he not be in my babies life, but he would not allow that baby to have a life. I would not get a say in it. He was verbally abusive and shamed me for not wanting to have an abortion. Ultimately, I did not become pregnant and thus was not forced into an abortion but I was terrified. Abortion is illegal where I am, so I was also afraid if he could not force me to go elsewhere to get an abortion he would take physical measures to ensure I would miscarry. I finally left him and I have only seen him around twice since, but it has had a lasting impact. One of the first things my current partner and I discussed was what we would do if I became pregnant. I’m happy to say we immediately agreed I would go through with the pregnancy, should it occur.

My Abortion Story If I’m pregnant, I don’t want an abortion
I’m 15. Recently, I’ve been having early pregnancy symptoms and believe I could be pregnant. If I am, I don’t want to get an abortion. My boyfriend says it’s “the only way forward”. I couldn’t live with myself if I willingly took the life of an innocent baby. I know things would be difficult. I would get kicked out, but low income housing exists. I would pick up extra part time jobs. I need some advice. What do I do? How do I tell him my thoughts?
