It's not as if I pay a lot of attention to this particular metric but it's hard to remember any one single celebrity in history having a more dramatic shift over the years than Brand. I vaguely remember one of his stand-up specials from early to mid-aughts being HEAVILY communist and, if memory serves, heavily atheist.

We all know it's been a big shift, but it would be interesting to see someone clip together bits of his from 2005 ish and now to see the contrast. What a strange man.

I haven’t heard anything about this dude since I first heard of him like damn near 10 years ago I don’t even remember lol but if you woulda asked me 5 minutes ago I’d have said he was a hardcore liberal, communist, atheist type dude

He followed the same pattern as every one else.

1) be progressive 2) do something fucked up (or say something that is not accepted by the progressives) 3) do not take any accountability at all and just blame the progressives 4) go full maga conspiracy nut-job
