[News] With Universities Threatened, Can Boston Still Be Boston?
r/RepublicofNE • u/trilobright • 22h ago
Hands Off! Protest in Boston today.
Great meeting some of you at City Hall Plaza today! There were also at least four more New England flags in the crowd who didn't make it to our subway vent platform. MASSIVE turnout overall, lots of flyers were handed out, spirits and solidarity were turned up to 11 despite the drizzle.

Concord, NH shows how we feel!
I know New Hampshire’s current politicians would make NH leave an independent New England in a heartbeat, but we Granite Staters don’t feel that way. New England or die

Everyone should read this list of Grievances of the United States Declaration of Independence. It's amazing how many of these things Trump is doing. Revolution in 1776, secession now!

[News] Newsom asks world leaders to exempt California from tariffs
r/RepublicofNE • u/YallaHammer • 1d ago
CA will push to maintain global trade independently
NE should stand with CA in this illegal tariff (massive taxation) move by the Trump administration. We have strong cross border relationships with our Canadian friends and both familial and economic ties with EU markets.

Calexit non binding referendum to be voted on soon. When do we start ours, can it be binding?
With the US crashing, we need to eject and pull the parachute and NEexit.
We send all our money to D.C. to fund states that hate us, have 14x the footing power of a blue city, and the Russian asset traitor trump cut Medicaid expansion 90% to mass reportedly, cut school funding, coming after legal immigrants, green card holders, detained illegally.
The US has become a dictatorship, the revolutionary war was taxation without representation and economic policy that harmed New England.
Is it possible to leave? Do we have the military strength? Or do we allow ourselves to be further and further ripped off and have our rights stripped away that New England fought for, drafted the constitution to prevent.
Dc is responsible for all of this, our states are well run, we have the innovation economy, we have all we need, and nobody will trade with the US again.
To survive economically we need to leave, to avoid 12 years of tyranny and further erosion of the cancer that is dc, what can we do?

Political Party?
Hey, I’ve been a long time lurker here and I have a question about something I think may help. Seeing that our great neighbors to the north in Quebec have come quite close to success in the past with their secession movement. (And if I do recall there were posts from VectorPryde about it) I was wondering if the NEIC is planning on involving itself in local races in the midterms to help push policies that will help make our goals a reality. As essentially a New England equivalent to the Bloc Québécois and Parti Québécois. From what I understand the Yankee National Party that the NEIC appears to be affiliated with based on the website is exactly such an entity but they don’t seem to be getting as much attention in terms of organizing, how can we fix that?
Either way there is at least one person out here in Fairfield County willing to vote for an NEIC/YNP candidate in a local race!
Edit: for clarity on YNP

Kinda not Important but
What do you think the National Animal should be because personally I'd say the Blue Whale because our history of Whale Hunting and Sailingt. It is the Largest Creature in the Ocean but also one that keeps to itself

[News] 30th of March 1775. The British Parliament passed the New England Restraining Act, which restricted trade and commerce for the New England colonies, limiting them to trade only with Great Britain, Ireland, and the British West Indies, and also banning them from fishing in the North Atlantic.

Turning up the heat of the movement
Hello, fellow New Englanders and friends around the world!
We recently reached 10000 members of the Reddit, which means 10000 people ready to help build a new nation for New Englanders that stands for our values against autocracy and monarchy. As we've made this milestone, It's important to remember that we're getting real. A real movement that requires us all coming together to push for change in our six states, becoming regularly involved, and supporting our nationality over that over the violent, racist, and, monarchist (suck it monarchists, there's a reason why they call him "prince baron")Trump "administration". Spread the word as much as possible. Fly your flags, do whatever you can to peak a curiosity in disgruntled New Englanders. Theorize how we could get referendum(s) for independence in a peaceful and lawful manner, and a whole lot more. This idea is a theory, sure, but we've been presented with a threat and a harsh reality, that this theory will easily overcome if executed well.
Thank you!
