This isn't really retrofuturism, it's just... sci-fi?

I'd say more like r/cassettefuturism than retro-futurism.

And some very good bunch of British satire to boot.

But isn’t retrofuturism also sci fi?

a duck is a bird, but not all birds are ducks.

Not really retrofuturism though?

Looks like a mixture to me. The architecture styling in some of the images is definitely retro, and the largely analog controls and meters with fewer digital interfaces is definitely playing with throwbacks.

Yeah, it reminds me a lot of Alien and that kind of early-1980s version of the future. I think the lines on the vehicles in addition to the analog controls look very early 80s.

It reminded me of 1980’s Omni Magazine illustrations.

The future looks dark.

One would have thought that along with technology we will have decent lamps to illuminate living spaces. How is everything so dark, lowly illuminated?

Frugality.

Because lamps cost a lot of power and that's a precious resource in space!

The only one that resembles retrofuturism is the fourth pic.

And it’s really a standard lecture hall

Not true, it's very 80s, very Alien.

Disappointing in every sense.
