I got a 1370. Is it horrible?

I gave the school day SAT, and according to me it went well. However, I got a 1370. Is it really that bad? Will any college in US accept me, or should I give it again to get a 1500+? I have been beating myself up for 2 days because of my score.

1370 is not bad and far above the national average. Congrats!

A lot of colleges will take you (or at least they won't not take you because of SAT) but if you're aiming high I would recommend retaking. Look the median SAT at your target schools. Good luck 😎

Okay hon, take a deep breath! 1370 is an absolutely fantastic score, and there's really no need to retake it unless you're planning to apply to top 20 schools. If you are planning to do that, then study and take it again, but just remember that this sub is not a realistic cross section of all high school students taking the SAT.

It is not a fantastic score 😭 he’s gonna struggle with admissions into top 50s and he’s more or less average for 50s-100s.

1370 is the median score for many t50s-100s guy, if he isn’t international he’ll be fine

It’s a good score and if you got that on the first try then you can still improve a lot.

This is so melodramatic lol, please chill. It’s a plenty good score and you are way above average. Likely would be an issue for t20, but most other places you’ll be ok. I’d recommend looking at the admission percentiles for schools you are interested in and comparing. You’ve done well, and I’d recommend stepping away from this sub as it is often a microcosm of scores overly inflated from the public

1370 is same or better than over 90% of those taking the test.

Of the ~1000 schools in the recent IPEDS database, 88%+ report a sum of median SAT section scores of 1370 or lower.

"Horrible"? "that bad"? No.

I'd only retake if you believe you can improve your score and you're applying to schools in the top 10% in the country.

There’s no way a 1370 is 90th percentile.

I got a 1370 this on march 5, school day testing, (I’m in 7th grade) but I think if ur still early in high school u prob have a lot of room to grow l, I got a 700 in math basically js with Desmos so u can def do good especially if u already did good in ela

https://research.collegeboard.org/reports/sat-suite/understanding-scores/sat

You're in the top 10% of people that take the SAT.

What school and major are you going into that needs a higher score?

My man you're doing just fine......... Just take a break and then start studying again for an extended period of time. (If you're convinced your score isn't good that is)

It’s a great score for a first try, what are your scores separately? definitely give it once more and aim for a 1450 so u can explore ur potential

I would consider the trades with that score
