Accommodations denied
So Iāve recently been diagnosed with ADHD and my whole life Iāve struggled with taking long tests. My schoolās guidance counselor advised me to let her request for me an accommodation, but that was forever ago. Yesterday I got the letter that my request was denied and I donāt know what to do. I suspect itās because I only just started getting accommodations in my school and my diagnosis was a year ago, but regardless, Iām struggling so bad in trying to take this test with regular time. My scores are terrible (for the schools I aim to apply to) and even though Iāve been studying for months, Iāve seen no improvement. I thought accommodations were going to save my score but I got my hopes up. Can anyone who went through the same situation give me some advice on how manage this situation or how I can improve my test taking speed? :(

People who have gotten 1500+ on the Sat, when did you start preparing?
Hi everyone. Iām a rising freshman in high school and Iām trying to achieve 1500+ minimum. I know itās too early to be stressing about these things but Iād at least like to know if Iām on the right Track for my hs career. I also want to get into a top 20. Hereās my track for math as of now (depending on if I get into a magnet school this could change.) 9th: Algebra 2 honors 10th AP precalc 11th Ap Algebra AB 12th AP Stat or Calculus CD Thanks in advance and if you have any advice on how to get better, it would be much appreciated!

I got a 1370. Is it horrible?
I gave the school day SAT, and according to me it went well. However, I got a 1370. Is it really that bad? Will any college in US accept me, or should I give it again to get a 1500+? I have been beating myself up for 2 days because of my score.

Would colleges interpret high English score as a good thing?
Planning on applying as a humanities major (Probably history). I scored a 1320 on the March 2025 SAT, 750 English and 570 Math. Math isnāt my strongsuit, as you can tell.
Would I still be able to benefit from this mediocre score in applications because my English score demonstrated proficiency?
Edit: I am retaking, just wanted to know.

how to deal with math inconsistancy
Ive been studying for ~30hrs-40hrs for the math portion of the sat and have taken 4 practice tests between starting studying and now. All of these practice tests have seen me score ~650 in math. the only thing is that ive scored 100% on each category (algebra, problem solving, etc) in each test. The only issue is that I cant do it all on one test. Any advice on getting more consistant?

Registered for the SAT again!
I took the SAT last March and was determined to stop everything about SAT ever again. However, I only got 1380, which is not bad, nor good enough. The standards in the top University in my country are really high because most students donāt really use SAT here. I got a month left, is there any tip that get me to a 1500+? Or is it even possible at all?
P/s: i have undiagnosed ADHD and my family refuses to let me use meds, if you have any tips on this pls share ;-;
Still havent gotten my test results back from march 8th
I hate this so much. I dont know what to do
Is anyone else in the same boat as me?

Can you guys give me some advice on this idea?
I posted this yesterday but some mod took it down for some undisclosed reason. I'm putting it back up since I was hoping for a bit more feedback.
I get how the mods could think this is some form of advertisement, but I swear it's not š (It's not even existent yet). I'm getting into app development and I thought of an idea that could help people trying to study for the SAT. Let me know if you guys would actually use this app if I released it. I'm planning on making it mostly free, but for more complex features it will be behind a small subscription fee.
Here's the general gist of it: I'm trying to make an app that acts in a similar way as chess.com's puzzle system (depending on the difficulty of the puzzle, and whether you get it right or wrong, your ELO [but in my case, SAT score] goes up or down). Obviously, it's an app that helps students prepare for their SAT by asking a question one at a time. They'll have completion goals every day (eg. Complete 5 Questions Each Day), and it will adapt as to where they need to improve. If they get a question right, then perfect, but if they get it wrong, then it will be explained by AI. If for some reason, the AI explanation does not help them, it will resort to a different explanation that it thinks will further suit their needs.

I've had mixed emotions from my family about my SAT scores, is 1140 really that horrible??
My mom said it was fine but my dad acted as if I just ruined my future... I don't understand. If the lowest is 400 and the highest is 1600, then 1140 doesn't seem too horrible??? But now I'm so worried, I know I'll take it again before I transfer to OSU but now I feel like I might not even be able to attend OSU or another college/uni because apparently my score isn't high enough?

SAT score and improvement
I know a lot of people in here ask āhow to improveā with the thing being in mind materials and whatever. Iām not aiming to be in top school but I want to get my SAT score higher. That being said. I got a 1150 on my last test which I know may not seem high but I am absolutely terrible at standardized testing and always tend to not do well under time. Currently I have tutors + will work on khan academy + bluebook practice and want to at least get to a 1350 if Iām being extremely hopeful. Iām in Florida so I want to at least get that to fall under the eligibility for Florida Bright Futures and for Flagler College. I know the material is enough to prepare but I really really want to ask how to improve in terms of retaining the information and being able to not fail under pressure/and improve with being able to accurately answer. For me itās one thing to study all the info but I have a bad tendency to forget intricate things that I need to remembers. Sorry if this a bit weirdly written.

Does changing your legal name on sat change the name on your previous scores too?
Hello everyone!
During SAT Registration I did not add my Middle name into the legal name as Board said my middle name was not necessary, but the colleges (Outside USA) I'm applying to require me to verify my score report with legal ID and I need my legal name to match with the ID name so i just submitted a request to change my legal name.
I've given SAT 2 times and received my scores, So after the board changes my name, will the name on my previous test scores be updated too? Could someone please clarify this for me.

What do you think
Iām currently a junior and just got my scores for my March sat, I took the December sat got a 1190 and March came out to be a 1280 (super score, did a lot better on reading but dropped on math) , the colleges Iām looking usually takes this score, i really wanted a 1300 but I just donāt think I have enough motivation to get myself back to studying for the may sat. Plus idk if I have much room to improve will a 20 point difference from a 1300 make too much of a difference?? Thanks. (Schools: texas a&m, utd, texas tech)
