There can be 2 methodology for this we have to check both, Here it comes - See there is 0.36 which is 36/100=9/25, Sum=9+25=34 as asked in question above, but answer didn't match means this one failed In above case we took 0.36 as {terminating }1st case Now we will see 2nd case as 0.36 as{ recurring } 0.36 recurring=0.36363636... Let's take x=0.363636 Then multiply both side by 100 U will get, 100x=36.3636... Now subtract (x) from 100(x) 100x - x=36.363636.. - 0.363636... 99x = 36 x= 36/99 x = 4/11 Now sum of denominator and numerator can be done =4+11 =15

Unless the .36 has a bar over it as a repeating decimal, which would be A.

4/11 = 0.363636....
