Mod Post MOD POST ON THE STATE OF THE SUBREDDIT - Current rules, moderating, and another community like this one.

Thank you to all of you for bearing with the prefix rule that has been in place for the past month or so. Some of you understandably have been annoyed with it, though I've also observed plenty of you that have taken to it well.

That all said, the actual result of the measure has not really had much tangible effect on the amount of blurted out, AskReddit-type answers. Plus, it does appear that certain posts are more prone to them than others, particularly those that begin with a format like, 'Bad times to ___,' 'World's Worst ___,' or Rejected Titles for ___,' among many ways those kind of posts can be written.

Because of that, I've decided to officially retire the prefix rule.

Other things I wanted to get to - I am considering adding at least a few more people to the moderating team to help us keep track and check for incorrectly formatted posts and replies. Hopefully this can be done as soon as I get some other things worked out first. But if you are interested in possibly becoming a moderator, leave a comment below expressing such or DM me, so I can add you to the list and let you know what would be expected of you if you are added.

The reason why I feel it's more necessary than ever now is because I learned some important information regarding the reason why a lot of people don't seem to remember or are unaware of the rules here - It is because the vast majority of users either discover or participate in this sub through mobile, whether on the web or on the Reddit app. On desktop, the rules are clearly written on the righthand sidebar and also in the link to the sub wiki page. The problem with mobile is that the UI for Reddit on mobile is NOT set up to where the sub rules are easily accessible on the front sub page or when you see a hot post.

Apparently, this was an issue that even some of the old moderators several years ago were aware of. But unless we decide to start setting up constant automatic messages every time somebody submits a post or a comment (which would obviously get incredibly annoying and spammy), there isn't really any way to solve this, just having more active moderators here.

Also, if any of you are interested, I recommend checking out r/MakeSomeDialogue, which is a community I created not too long after making this post and as a reboot of some sort to this sub. This sub will still remain open for all that still enjoy contributing here, but for anyone that has wanted an alternative to SFAH and/or another place to create funny prompts and act them out, there's now a place for you!

Appreicate everyone that reads this announcement.

Mod Post Your daily reminder to please follow the rules of the sub.

As a lot of you probably have noticed, there's been a high number of posts and responses to posts that either break Rule 1 or don't fit in with the format or spirit of the actual Scenes From A Hat game on the show, 'Whose Line Is Is Anyway?' This has sort of coincided with the massive growth of this sub over the past couple years, which is absolutely awesome on one hand, but does also make it much harder to enforce the rules.

While we understand that it's impossible to catch every single post or response that breaks the rules and many people might treat this sub as a place where they can wind down, joke around, express themselves, and be entertained without somebody constantly nagging or censoring them for it, we are a sub that is technically based on an improv comedy game, and games do have rules. And if you ask me, games are much more fun when the rules are followed and enforced :)

You can also help the mods out by kindly reminding other users to format their posts and responses correctly and/or reporting ones that don't.

If you need help on how to format posts and responses, consult the right-hand sidebar on desktop or the 'About' section on mobile. You can also check out our wiki page and the community highlights posts.

Whether you are new to this community, or are a long-time regular user, it's important that we all do our part to make sure things run as smoothly as possible around here.

Any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to message us.

Wow, this is such a wide , wide field.

My entry and remember, it has to be a scene.

Lois Lane is interviewing Superman.

" And If we were you ask you what you stand for?"

Superman: " Well, you can't see it until I get up out of this chair, but in my spandex suit, I am already standing and saluting you in my pants".

For men and women, but different column answers.

Place this as a scene, don't just shout out a line .

Men what is the nicest compliment you had from a woman? ( First, second, third date, in the *sack, from random stranger, from a married woman or man. Include you gender before your answer and gender of the person )

Women, what is the nicest compliment you have gotten?

( First, second, third date, in the *sack, from random stranger, from a married woman or man. Include you gender before your answer and gender of the person )

To get things going, I will start

I was working in the clothing department after being moved from Hardware. A group of five lower middle age folks came in. At checking, I am picking up ties, shirts, belts and ringing them up. I am Male ( 29 at the time ). The shortest male said, effeminately " Your hands are so big. I know a woman who would love to meet you. You know, she knows what big hands mean. Shall I give you her number?"

Me: " No, I am good. Thanks" Him " That is what She will say"
