No side effects? 🤔

I did my first injection last week and felt AWFUL. Vomited the morning after, queasy and absolutely EXHAUSTED for days. And very decreased appetite for the first 2-3 days. Then I did my second injection last night and had ZERO side effects today. Appetite is barely even suppressed. I almost felt like I had more energy today than normal. Did this happen to anyone else? Don’t get me wrong, I’m so relieved to not be feeling ill for days. But I’m so confused by the drastic change I’ve found myself questioning whether I ever injected anything lol.

The body does some weird shit when on this drug. Sometimes the side affects take a day or two to actually kick in for me. So maybe wait another 24hrs and see if anything happens. It’s a wild ride this drug. And I have had the tendency to overthink the hell out of it from day one. I’m now on week 9. My personal experience so far… lost a heap straight up; then lost nothing, then lost a tiny bit; then put weight on, then lost nothing; then a lot; then nothing… up and down and round and round… it’s crazy. Sick, then not sick, sick then feeling like ‘did I even take anything?; then complete food noise silence, then loud food noise…

Honestly. It’s all over the shop. But I do know one thing - slow, accepting, consistency is key. You just gotta trust the process and keep pushing on - eventually you’ll be at your goal weight.

Thank you! This is honestly really helpful to hear. I’m a massive overthinker and tend to drive myself crazy with things like this, especially since this is all so new to me and was a big decision and financial investment. So I appreciate you normalizing the experience, it helps ease my mind a lot. Fingers crossed I don’t feel sick af tomorrow! Haha

Same. I started on the lowest dose and felt horrible. Like lay in bed horrible and the rest of the week I felt fine. I had too much appetite 😩. I’m scared to go up in the dose bc I’m scared to feel horrible again!

Oh, you’re so welcome! I totalllllly get it. I have calmed down A LOT since the first few weeks. I was picking every teeny little thing apart and trying to dissect each and every thing that was happening or not happening to me. It was/is also a huge decision and financially too. But I truly think it’s worth it.

I was so shit scared about being so sick the first few weeks, plus every time I move up a dose I get extra paranoid. But if I’ve learnt anything now, it’s that, what will happen will happen! And as long as you’re eating well (I suggest clean, lighter meals/food - I have had to cut out, or cut down, steak, curries, bread), and drinking lots of water and keeping hydrated - you will not be anywhere NEAR as sick as people who aren’t changing their diet and just taking this drug like it’s some wonder injection that is going to magically make you thin.

The only single time I have vomitted so far is when I barely ate one day, and it was also an injection day. My body was not pleased. But it was one quick vomit and then I was fine. More than anything I have gotten headaches and extreme lethargy for about a day or two after my injections and a tiny bit of nausea here or there.

Sooooo many horror stories on reddit about how sick people can get. But there are so many factors to all those stories that we’ll never know either. Something someone said on here when I was in the throws of sickness paranoia - that what you’re reading on reddit, all the people being sick, well the people that are fine or have had no side effects aren’t even posting! - that made me feel a heap more relaxed because it’s so true!!

That is so true! My partner and I were talking about that exact thing - how there are so many factors going into the experiences of others that I can’t possibly know about. And that I’m doing everything I’ve even told (eating clean, drinking tons of water, getting adequate sleep, going on walks etc) and have researched extensively to make sure I’m prepared and being proactive about potential issues, So it makes sense for me to maybe not be as sick as others. But we’ll see! Seriously your insight has calmed my mind a lot, I really do thank you for taking the time :)

Literally every week is different. It’s strange.

I've heard people say depends on your injection site as well. I use my thighs and don't really have a problem. Some people say the stomach injection site comes with the most side effects.

Yes I heard that too that side effects are less when you inject in the thigh. My first injection I did my stomach and my second I did my thigh. So maybe that’s why. Thanks for the insight!
