From 285 to 247 in 3 months (-38lbs)
This feels bizarre for me to post because I’m not the type of person who posts on Reddit really at all or engages in online communities, or really shares anything personal about me with the Internet…
I’m 30 years old and I have been overweight for the majority of my life, but after the past 10 years wherein I lost both of my parents, my weight gain was becoming a huge problem for me and my daily life. I was starting to worry about my health in ways that I had never been worried about it before and I was honestly just really scared of what my future was starting to look like. Gaining all of this weight put me in a really bad headspace where I didn’t see myself able to lose weight or I guess like there was no way out.
On a whim in January I decided to start Weight Watchers, which was something my mom and I did when I was in the fifth grade (lol), but I didn’t really think that it would have such an insane impact on my health as it has. In fact when I joined Weight Watchers, I didn’t even think about potentially exploring GLP-1s as something they offered, but when I saw it featured in the app, I decided what the heck I’ll give it a try. That was the best decision I ever made.
I feel like now I have hope for the future. I like myself and I like the body that I’m living in again, which I haven’t been able to say for years. Semaglutide honestly has changed my life in just a few short months and I wish I had known about it sooner, but I’m so glad that I started my health journey in January and that I decided to give this a try because I was in a really dark place before this and now I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. ❤️
