Odd question
I have restless leg syndrome-have had it as long as I can remember in childhood. It seems worse since starting sema. I wake up about 3:30 am with terrible jumpiness and can’t get back to sleep. Baby aspirin helps but lately the jumpiness is all over-in my shoulders and upper body as well as legs. Does anyone else experience this?

Mine gets worse if I'm not ridiculously hydrated. I have to drink a ton of water, it's a bear getting through it, but the consequences are worse. I also take magnesium, and try to get enough potassium. I also keep my house cold at night. Those are the only things that help me.

Yes - I have been having the same issues. I recently started taking a magnesium citrate supplement because I read it could help and it has so far been working very well.

I take iron to help with restless leg syndrome and it has always been the thing to improve it for me. On or off sema. Low iron can be the cause of RLS for some.

I wonder if this is why my RLS is really bad. I’m going from 1-1.7 in the span of a few weeks and have it so bad. Still awake because I can’t get settled.

*PLEASE READ: drinking too much water can cause these issues! I was drinking too much water and my kidneys were filtering out too many minerals. I get regular blood panels and found that I have hypocalcemia: a low calcium level which can cause muscle cramps, spasms, tingling in the hands and feet, and in severe cases, seizures or abnormal heart rhythms. My magnesium level was also low (hypomagnesemia, causing similar symptoms) as well as iron. I now add electrolyte powder to a 20oz glass of water every day, with OJ mixed in, along with taking a ferrous sulfate (iron) Rx and extra magnesium.
Blanket statements (like drink a ton of water while on GLP-1s) is not a one-size-fits-all. I was shocked to find the level of water I was drinking daily was actually doing me harm. I know drink 60oz per day (4 10oz +20oz OJ/electrolyte powder-enhanced water) and my labs are well-balanced and normal.
Take care of yourself!
