My poor dog looks like something from Fullmetal Alchemist whilst being bathed!

Whenever we touch it, it feels a bit soft to a touch like a pimple. Also it’s swollen and he goes crazy when we touch it. It’s like a little hole there too.

The name is from Shih Tzus sometimes being called "chrysanthemum-faced dogs", which is because their face fluff sticks out in all directions like the petals of a chrysanthemum.

I often talk about Jerry's toys. He is completely uninterested in anything that is not Lure Rod or similar. He is an avid hunter, wants to chase after cats, birds and squirrels, lol.

Here he is with his dummies that he chews on or plays tug war with. I recently threw out stuff he is no longer using.

Tux is not happy about rain when he wants to go to the park!

Has anyone experienced issues with their puppy have issues with controlling their bladder after their got spayed? Our girl has been having incontinence with little dribbles of pee all over the house. Seems more like it comes out of her without her squatting to actually pee. It’s been 10 days since she got spayed and was 95% potty trained beforehand. Otherwise perfectly ok after the spay. Any advice appreciated!

Hi everyone. Our 5 month old shih tzu puppy has been diagnosed with renal dysplasia, which they have confirmed has been formed since birth.

We took him to the vets because of his increased urination & his excessive thirst and noticed him trying to drink his own wee twice!

They have now diagnosed him with his condition and advised us that his kidneys are only functioning from 25%. But, other than this he is really well within himself. A happy weight, happy dog, playful. No vomiting or anything.

We are totally devastated and finding it hard to cope when we are looking at him & he is really well within himself.

Please can somebody offer any advice or maybe more of an insight on prognosis?

He has 2 beds, but sleeps on ours with us. He has a fluffy blanket on every sofa in the house to snuggle up to.

He has also now chosen the £150 weighted blanket as his own 😂❤️

She brought her elephant into my lap and fell asleep! It's after midnight but I can't turn off the lights without disrupting her cuddle.

Her bear is called Frankenbear because our other dog tore some limbs off 😅 she still loves it ❤️

Margot's old bed (Blue, top left) is falling apart and my mom decided to buy this teddy Bear bed for her.

Let me rell you this dog is outraged, she hates this bear so much, she refuses to sleep on It and i even see her biting his head and staring at him sometimes. Today caught her beating him up while no one was watching 😭 LOLLL this lasted several minutes, then she got up and went for a nap on her old bed.

I feel like she is constantly judging my entire life…….do y’all feel judged on a daily basis?! Staring into my soul😂😂😂

Wife and I are traveling and the first time we will be away from her. I know she will have a good time with my family and their animals but god Bella we just love you so much and I think we will tear up once we reach the airport. I hope we come back safely and can just imagine how she will react to seeing us. If anyone’s experienced something like this please share your thoughts and experiences

We took the dogs for a bike ride in their new carrier today, along with some running around.

Later in the day, Kuma (left) was laying on the couch and my wife came kiss his head and he bit her, drawing blood from her upper lip.

My wife is shaken, but following cleaning with soap and water, the bleeding has stopped.

We aren't exactly sure what caused it, his last visit to the vet was without major issue, he was possibly startled, but as stated in another post..

we need to remember that our cute dogs are dogs and be open to their cues and use caution!

My 11-year-old boy, Charlie. First 2 pics are when he was a baby to now. He was recently diagnosed with immune-related anemia and is slowing down a lot. I’m so scared to lose my boy ❤️😞

Hello 👋 so I bathe my shih tzu (he’s four years old) every 1-2 weeks or every 2-4 if he goes to his groomers due to his need to run around in the dirt and leaves despite his white coat. The shampoo+conditioner I use is skout’s honor probiotic lavender and top paw’s all-in-one oatmeal alternatively. I wipe his face/butt/privates/feet after every walk, though he’s more tolerant of that than a wet towel to wipe him down. He tolerates most things even if he’s bothered by it. However for baths, he gets really stressed(heavy breathing, extreme shivering and pacing around) but he won’t bite/snap/bark/cry or even jump out. Coercing him with treats doesn’t work unfortunately either, he’s very intelligent. I really want to minimize his stress as much as possible when it comes to bathing and cleaning him up. Any advice please?
