Hello,
This is my first post on all Redit so sorry if you notice some mistake.
I’ve been using Starlink from Argentina for a whole year. I haven’t had many problems but i would like to know if someone has the very same problem that i have.
There are several Android devices at home and they have problems with X (aka Twitter) and Crunchyroll charging their static content.
It is so strange because i have many other devices connected to internet through the original router that they work very well with those applications (ie notebooks, smart TVs, consoles, etc).
Any idea?

They are still V2 minis, correct?

My unit is dead and I need a replacement. What's the typical response time from Support and to get a new unit?

I apologize in advance for the topic, but unfortunately I couldn't find it and I have some questions regarding Starlink Travel, so I created some topics.
1- Speed compared to when you are at home, do we have any loss because of the plan?
2- Where can I find the PDF on the Starlink website about this, where I can see this data and the "availability" of the service, if I'm not mistaken in "normal" mode it is >90% if installed correctly in travel mode, which is what Starlink says.
Thanks Rafael Silva
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grato Rafael Silva

Does anyone know why the starlink updates so often? I mean it's not daily but this week I've had 2 updates and notice no difference in any way.
Now you can set the time, but still it confuses me why it updates so often.

There’s a congestion charge in my area. Is there anything to stop me from buying roam and changing to residential to avoid the fee?

Is there an issue with latency today? I never have an issue with it for gaming but today it is very high for some reason

Today I checked the Starlink app and I noticed the IP address of the device can be changed from 192.168.1.1/24 to 10.0.0.1/16
Is there any advantages by changing the default IP address? Does that feature has been available for a long time or just recently?

Yay Starlink sent me a free Ridgeline Mount which was just delivered.
I had purchased dish in a local store but when going to activate ask me for DNI/RUC well here in Peru DNI is national ID for citizens and RUC is for businesses DNI is 8 digits.
I have a Foreigner Card which ID number is 9 digits so attempted with my card number but got error that Tax Id number is invalid.
Sent a few emails back and forth with Starlink they had me just remove one digit from my Id to register then they manually update it but then they offered me a free Mount.
I was surprised when I asked if this applies to the Ridgeline Mount as it’s over $200 figured it would only apply to the cheaper mounts that only S/37 but nope they said could claim the Ridgeline Mount so did…
DHL delivered it about a hour ago..

My setup is on top of a travel trailer using just the kickstand mount. The obstruction shown is a tree. Only complaint i have is how fast I'm using data but that's all on me

I purchased a standard kit from a retailer and tried to activate it as soon as I got home and I put in my payment info and it never refreshed or anything. I then proceeded to attempt it again and it said that my device is already assigned, It also won’t let me log in with the email and phone number I used to start my account.

I recently downloaded Windows 10 to my Windows 7 laptop. I was using my Starlink Network connection prior to the download. Since the download, my Statlink Network will not show as an available network but all other available networks are showing. I've tried everything I can think of. Has anyone ever heard of this? Would greatly appreciate any ideas.

I have my Starlink off grid, thinking about getting the DC-DC adapter to run it off of the 12v system in my home to save on power.
Currently have it plugged in to 120v AC from my Victron inverter and it runs at about 40W.
Will I save power by using the DC adapter?

I haven't kept up much with SL, wondering if Elon would pull the plug?
Is SL making a profit now?

Hey guys! I need your help, please! I'm from RJ and the area where I live is sold out for new plan purchases. If I buy from someone who has already used it, can I just change the address?

After the activation of new points-of-presence (PoP) in Oman and South Africa, our Starlink customers across Africa and the Western Indian Ocean are benefitting from significantly reduced latency, fewer dropped packets, and higher sustained throughput. We are looking forward to the activation of the first PoPs and gateways in the Indian Subcontinent later this year, and hopefully West Africa.
The first graphic is a map depicting the most recent latency reported at a particular location…which could be a recent value or more than a year old. The second graphic shows the latency distribution of Starlink terminals under our management as a Starlink Authorized Reseller. The average latency currently for all of our customers is 37ms. We have more than 4,000 Starlinks under our management, of which just over 3,000 are installed on vessels. The third graphic is a map depicting the current location of our customers’ Starlinks color coded by latency (white means ≤ 20ms, dark blue ≥ 200ms). This map shows the Starlink “cells” that have an active Starlink in them, and some cells contain multiple terminals. The final map shows the movement history of these Starlinks over the past 14 months.
Please note that I have no inside information about Starlink’s plans for additional ground infrastructure, I’m just speculating based on publicly available information. These maps indicate where our customer’s Starlinks are or have been, but in some locations they are not able to use them due to geographic service restrictions. Just because you see data reported in a particular location doesn’t mean that our customers are/were able to make use of their Starlinks there.

Anyone else interested in leaving Starlink for Kuiper? I hope it’s cheaper.

Getting ubiquiti gateway fiber and a u7pro wall. How's everyone's experience with bypass mode? Any ubiquity user's out there with starlink how is it with it, is it an easy set up. I've heard lots of good stuff about the product

FYI starlink mini works perfect in an Ammo box above your rig, mainly use this for deep 4x4 trails , to keep the dish out of sight.

We had a hail storm yesterday. No visible damage to the Gen3 but I can’t connect. Has anyone had this issue? I’ve tried resetting, unplugging the router etc
Thanks in advance

Decided to sell my house and live full time in a RV for a year or so, travelling the USA and Canada and staying in one location for a few week to a month (maybe more?) at a time. I'm wondering if it's better for that type of use to get a residential plan and change the address to whatever is closest to me every time I move the RV, or get a Roam plan, and have the home address set to some sales-tax free state?
Is it correct that Starlink will tax a residential plan based on where the service address is currently set, while a Roam plan will pay taxes based on where the account is registered, not where the antenna is active?
Since I'll be homeless, I will pick my resident state using a mail forwarder in whichever one will be most financially beneficial to me, I was thinking Alaska due to no income or sales tax. If I register my Starlink as Roam based in Alaska, that is the state they will use for tax purposes?
