Currently I have £850 in various popular pies in Trading212, currently i’m losing £150, I’m aware these numbers are tiny compared to some others but I was planning to sell everything in September (because that’s when I need the money), should i sell now? Should I hang on? I also have roughly £1000 in gold, is now a good time to sell? I saw an article saying it’s at a record high atm. Need advice tbh.

Hey y’all. I’m trying to do my due diligence here and not degen into skill acquisition by learning to trade.
I’ve been investing for along time now and wanting to learn options trading. I’m finding it difficult to sort through fake gurus and mentorship programs that only give out their own buy/sell orders which don’t really educate in any meaningful way.
Curious how successful options traders got their start and what you would do now if starting your journey.
I’m currently on Webull practicing paper option trading and watching various YouTube videos on diff strategies.
Thanks for your time.

I just started investing a couple weeks ago. Put roughly half my money into the Mag 7 last week. Everything is down now about 20%. Bit of a mistake I know but I’m not too concerned. One part of me wants to DCA into these with the other half of my money while the other side wants me to wait this out and just stick the rest into something like VTI/VXUS. Putting a large amount into these individual stocks was a bad idea and I’m trying to figure out how I should go about it now. Selling at a loss is not an option for me. Do I DCA into these stocks or put the rest into an index fund?

Obviously, everything in the market is in the red as of the time of writing. While it sucks as a business owner that all this is happening, I'm trying to make lemonade here by starting my investment journey.
The only problem is I don't know how to start.
That being said, my question to you would be:
1: What app or platform should I trade on?
2: What should I buy into?
3: if you were in my shoes and had to start from scratch, what would you do, and what would you do differently?
I seriously appreciate the help everyone

Would you guys wait longer and see how this stuff plays out and wait for a possible bigger dip or take the discount as you can and invest now? And if so what’s the timeframe you would wait for it to go down. Not wanting to miss out on these discounts and worried they will go down if I don’t invest soon.

What’s the move following the drop?
What’s the consensus? Buy the dip? Roll over into emerging / European / Non-US markets? Convert to cash and hedge into a high yield savings or money- market?
Seems like very few US stocks have held or faired well - even Berkshire is dropping like a rock. Stock picking feels a bit like lighting cash on fire, though it’s very, very, very early to tell… What are your strategies for weathering the storm?

Hi, i'm new to the stock market and i had the idea to invest in some european motor and defense related companies that might grow after the EU's investment in defense. I pretend to do a portfolio with those''underrated'' companies. Any tip or advice is accepted.

Now that new cars are going to be costing more I expect used car prices will go up a lot. During Covid when that happened Carvana stock went up a lot. It’s down 20% today though. Does anyone think there is potential for it in the coming months. Thanks in advance.

Where did the money go if everything is going down? Everybody holding cash? Or foreign bonds? Sgov is DOWN after hours?

If 400k or 500k were to suddenly fall into your lap how would you spend it? Would you put it into the SMP? XRP?

Hey traders! 👋
I’ve been building a charting platform that includes a volume-based indicator inspired by Wyckoff methodology, with support for Point & Figure (PnF) charts.
It's designed for traders who focus on price/volume action and want more clarity around accumulation, distribution, and breako

Are we all deaf and blinds.
Warren Buffett had been selling and building up a cash war chest for a crash that is now more or less on Dow Jones and will continue for the next month.
And yet we continue to buy and hope.

So back in 1999 or so I purchased 48 shares in a company called Level 3 Communications (LVLT). Long story short, I moved several times over the years, my financial advisor retired, and I lost track of things like that. Every once in a while I would wonder about it but never knew where to start.
A google search tells me that the company was acquired by Centurylink in 2017. What happened to the shares I owned?
Thank you for any insights.

I have about 650 put into it and I’m only down $33 right now. I’m trying to play the long game and hope one of them booms. I bought a share of Take Two I teractive because when GTA 6 comes out, we know that stock is gonna explode. I was lucky to get an entire share of Boeing. Should I also buy a full share of Tesla? We all know once these protests are over. The stock is gonna shoot back up.

Okay as someone who is completely ignorant to stocks/trading i really want to learn about it. I have always been interesting in the stock market but just don’t even know where to begin? Like how do you even know or estimate what stock you should invest it? Is it a guessing game? I know this sounds very stupid but it’s because I literally don’t know anything but would really like too! Anyone kind enough to explain it to me/advise me?

What’s the best and safest app for long-term stock investing (Europe)? I’m from Europe and I’m planning to invest in stocks for the long term (20+ years), mainly in ETFs like the S&P 500. I’m looking for a reliable, low-fee, and secure platform. I’ve seen people mention Trading 212, IBKR, and a few others. Which one would you recommend and why?
