📣 Announcement r/TombRaider is moving away from allowing Instagram and Facebook links on the subreddit
In the past when I had made the post ending our allowance of Twitter links except in last resort, I had also mentioned Facebook and Instagram to come later.
Now that time has come, as in most cases they will still redirect you onto an account creation/log-in UI.
If you regularly post mods I recommend direct posting to their mod site page such as Nexus,ModDB, etc. or images of them. YouTube is fine as well of course!
The same goes for artwork, if you are an artist it is highly preferable to post them directly here, while also including your handle (artist name/pseudonym). If there is no other accessible way for your art, then they will be allowed as a last resort only.
This change will take place Thursday evening EST
Caveats to this: Images of posts will be allowed as well as artist handles as a last resort if they are nowhere else.
Of course you can keep links on your profile of course, and leave a generic comment stating to check out your profile links for artist handles.

Multiplayer Help Looking for people to play Tomb Raider 2013 multiplayer with on PC
I have all 3 reboot games on Steam - TR 2013, Rise, and Shadow. I bought the Definitive Edition of Shadow with all the DLCs and finished the story. I won Rise from a giveaway, that was just the standard edition without any DLCs. Similarly, several years ago, a kind Redditor gifted me the 2013 game, also the standard edition with no post-launch content.
More recently, I bought the Season Pass for Rise during the Steam spring sale for around $2, because I wanted to try that game's DLCs too. For some reason, it came with all the paid DLCs for Tomb Raider 2013. Right now only Rise is installed on my PC so I'll have to re-install TR 2013 if I want to play it again. It's late night here so I can do that tomorrow, but it's a relatively small game at just 11 to 12 or so GBs, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to download it again.
Anyway, I want to "justify" my purchase of the DLCs, and they're mostly for the multiplayer, so I'm here looking for people to play it with. Send me a message on Reddit chat and we'll add each other on Steam.
Mods, if this isn't allowed, sorry about that, you can remove this post.

🗨️ Discussion The first Crystal Dynamics TR trilogy dealt with Lara's mommy issues. The reboot trilogy dealt with her daddy issues. Who do you think she'll focused on for the next one?
It seems like with the CD TR games, there's always a central figure Lara's life that's propelling her forward on her adventures. Before, it's been her mum, later it was her dad. Who do you think will be motivating her next? Jonah, or a new love interest maybe? Her long lost aunt?

New Game + is really a bit of a challenge without healing – if only there was a chance of a small medipack at every level, for example, as the last secret if you collected all the previous ones.
Difficult spots are all the spots in Greece where Pierre deals good damage, but also other spots like the Thor's Hammer room in St. Francis Folly and the Cistern, because Pierre appears here three times.
Egypt was quite easy – with two more difficult spots.
Once the two rooms in the first Egypt level with 3-4 cats, and once the spot in the picture.

🗨️ Discussion Croft’s abilities in other universes
Hello all! I’m a new Tomb Raider discoverer. In my youth, I booted up the shareware’s for TR and TR2 but it never caught on (because I didn’t get allowance to buy stuff). Then much later, I discovered Osiris, then led to a publisher/spring sales where I bought more; Underworld and Legend. Eventually, I found myself subscribing to a streaming service just to watch the movies and the show.
So far, with everything I know, I started thinking about Croft’s abilities and that she could fare pretty well against other movie/game threats. As I’m sure this sub is already aware, she is basically Indiana Jones/007/Batman-Wayne in one.
After watching the first movie, I figure she can outwit and defeat RoboCain from Robocop 2. With her skill set and perseverance, she can overcome and defeat Deadites from the Evil Dead. If she was given the powers of the seraphim from Doom/Eternal, she’d hang out with Isabelle for sure, though I think she’d extend her archaeology to finding secrets of the universe/existence with that level of OP. A friend suggested that she would be more than competent in resolving cenobite threats and neutralizing anything else resulting from the lament configuration.
Anyway, I’m a fan of hyper competent Lara, Go Lara!!! 😁
What other crossovers can you think of that might be cool, where Lara would be great in?

Rise of the Tomb Raider can it be solved?
I have a problem with gambling rise of the tomb raider and the camera starts to spin around me and I can barely play because the camera keeps turning again. Do I have to do something to solve it?

Tomb Raider (2013) Revisiting "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition [2013]"
How did you feel about the game, looking back on it? Was it the reboot that you were hoping for? Or did "Rise of the Tomb Raider" satisfy that itch?

🗨️ Discussion Under world glitched PC port?
Youtube videos show im supposed to be able to jump to the right in pic 1. It's clearly blocked by the blue glowing wall the game signals to be pushed in when Lara walked near it prior to where i'm located in the pic.
Pic two shows the wall already pushed in with no platform to stand on to pull it back out.
For context, this position is right after jumping on the three floating platforms in order to continue Lara's ascent and a blue glowing button was smashed by Lara with Thor's hammer.
Is this a soft lock/ glitch. Cannot progress.
Thanks for any responses or help

🗨️ Discussion Just completed the remastered trilogy, a remaster that without I never would have been able to complete the games that enthralled yet infuriated me. Spoiler
galleryI like to think she had a fun time 😄
So my ranking id say is; 1, 3 then 2.
1 simply for the nostalgia and the feeling I got as a 31 year old finally completing a beloved childhood game where I never got past Peru.
3 is second due to the expanded move set, the Desert Eagle (best gin in the trilogy imo) and the levels themselves. Just wow. India and Pacific in particular were stunning in high Res graphics. Area 51 was fun as hell too!
2 is last, I loved the atmosphere of the game especially in the second half in Tibet and China. The first time you entered Temple of Xian it reeeeally felt like I was not supposed to be there, I can't describe it but it just felt forbidden. But 2 long ass industrial levels in a row with Venice and Maria Doria, it was too much. And WAY too many human enemies. It just doesn't feel right coming to the end where she maybe slaughtered 100 men. And Macho Broccoli was a weak ass villain. Don't even think he speaks the whole game.
Overall I fucking loved the whole experience and I can't wait to play the next trilogy!

🗨️ Discussion Seeking advice on how to deal with the undead knights in the Hall of Seasons
I am currently dragging my way through AOD and hating every second of it (the things I do for achievements). Been pretty good about conserving ammo and stealthing my way through the place, but now I am at the Hall of Seasons and I am |this| close to breaking my keyboard in half. Is there ANY way to predict when shots will land properly on these damn skeletons? I know they resurrect once, but I swear I've had some that went down in 3 shots with the shotgun while others took a dozen and still kept walking. I've done 2 of the four seasons and I am now out of shotgun ammo. My little pea shooters do nothing against these guys and having three of them gang up on me with this godawful camera is just fantastic.
Any advice on how best to deal with these guys?
And for the record, I don't want anyone to try to convince me that this game is good, actually. I've waited 22 years to finally be able to play this game, but always encountered crashes and progress blockers when it came out. Now with the remaster it's finally functional and I am honestly starting to think my old PCs were just trying to spare me from how awful this game is. I am never touching this one again once I'm done with the achievements.

What makes it hard is that the check points only work at the Basecamps. Sometimes you die. So unfairly.. 😂

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Think I have locked myself out.
I'm playing Tomb Raider Chronicles, and I'm on "Red Alert!". I have gone back to use the Grapple for the second time to progress in the stairwell, however I have noticed I've missed the second piece of ammo. I watched a walkthrough which tells me it's in the room just before the room where you first use the Grapple. I have tried to go back to the room, however the doors are locked and the vent I came out of is sloped so I can't jump back into it. Have I locked myself out or is there a way to get back to the room I need?

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Can't use the look button on TR IV from the Remasters on the Switch?
Is anyone else having this problem? I'm in the city of the dead, which requires a lot of aiming with the scope via the look button; however the button does nothing (It's the L button for me), I tried resetting to default, switching from tank to modern controls, reloading, nothing works... and now I'm stuck and can't progress further, is this a glitch?
...........Do I have to restart the game?
Fyi I use a lot of flares during my gameplay, and I know this caused me some issues in the original game. Is it happening again? Anyways, thank you so much Raiders and any advice would be appreciated.
