I went to adopt and my beautiful (RIP) tuxedo took his paw out of his cage and locked onto my pants as I was going by the kitties. I stopped and he went belly up for pets. I took him into the "meet and greet" pet room and he just latched onto me. Louis was my best bud since that moment. He was a happy kitty that loved everyone. He loved to be a part of the party if I had friends over, and liked to sleep on my chest. He would wake me by just placing a paw on my nose. And he greeted me after work with chirps and his toy. He was just a darn good friend.
Determined little kitty has adopted the human now, we can't release him now I've tamed him Mum! He can't even hunt for himself and won't survive in the wild! (Gorgeous little kitty, congrats OP)
There is no better cat than a love bug. The foster mom of my boy Max told me he was a love bug, and boy is he ever, 13 years later he still stands in front of me and lifts his arms up like “uppy uppy!”
I named my new void Lovebug (Buggie for short). I adopted him two and a half weeks ago, and waited a couple days to get to know him better before setting on a name. He’s my first time adopting through a shelter (all the other cats I’ve owned I rescued from neglectful owners). The first day I brought him home he was already glued to me and everyone else in the house, and slept above my head and on my chest throughout the night. He’s the most affectionate cat I’ve ever been so lucky to meet, and he really is a Lovebug. I feel so lucky he chose me, as soon as I stepped foot in the shelter he wouldn’t leave my side :”)
Oh, Lovebug sounds so sweet! Max often lays above my head at night, but sometimes he wiggles his upper body down my pillow and drapes himself on my shoulder and across my shoulder and neck, and falls asleep. I get so hot, but I simply can’t wake him and make him move!
My little boy is the same as yours. My calico doesn’t even want that. She screams to be petted and after two pats she’s done. But I still love my furry little freeloaders.
I did win the lottery with Max! I’ve had 3 girls, and none like to be picked up and cuddled. My little Belle and I do have a nightly routine: I have a body pillow that I drape my leg over, and Belle jumps on the bed and comes over and throws herself onto the pillow, at my body, and gives me her belly for rubs.
My first ever cat looked exactly like this, and I mean EXACLY like this, if you told me this is a picture of him I’d believe you. Unfortunately after 16.5 years together I had to say goodbye to him in December. Seeing your video and this picture kinda made me feel like he’s moved on to make other lives better and filled with love, kinda like you have him now and he’s happy and loved just somewhere else now. K gonna go cry now.
The white whiskers are so freaking adorable. My tuxedo girl has them too. So cute. And I love how they have the little bald spots on the ears you see on black coats. He’s so cute.
So you say you don't know what to do and need help? Ok! So let's see checks notes you bought shampoo for fleas and ticks and gave it a bath, then put on a collar on the kitty, and named him Plunger? Looks like you know what you're doing and don't need help. We'll done, Sir! 🐈⬛💕
You've never felt the love of a cat before. It's special. He's going to need scratchers, crumpled receipts thrown on the floor, high places to observe his territory, a few beds in nooks and a high protein diet. Cats are absolute carnivores; they must have meat. Good kibble which you can use as treats. Fish oil for a good coat. Keep the litter box clean. If Plunger goes outside of the box, he's telling you something like something hurts or jealousy. Good teeth is important and learn how to nail trim. I hope you don't have potted plants inside the house. Micro chip! Good luck
Be sure to watch some cat videos for beginners, Jackson Galaxy or some such. Cats live their best and safest life if they are resigned to indoors and enclosed outdoor spaces. Initial and then annual vet check ups are a must. Cat toys are also good for hyperactive kittens.
Be prepared to know and feel love like you’ve never felt before. My tuxie saved my life and is a constant source of contentment and comfort when I need it the most. Congratulations ♥️

congrats on your new baby 🥹cats are endlessly weird and wonderful. Just a heads up, don’t let the cat be loose in the car. All kinds of terrible things can happen (I’ve had friends who have had them crawl up under the dash while in motion, additionally if you have to brake suddenly you don’t want them to be a tiny furry projectile!). Obviously you were stationary while filming this so maybe you’ve already got that dialed in, but I see sooooo many videos of loose cats in moving vehicles on Reddit and it is so dangerous for the cat and it makes me crazy.
This is so cute, you’re so lucky! Once the cat starts to become annoying, always mentally bring yourself back to the place where they are this cute. Because the cat will inevitably test your boundaries but will continue to be this cute or cuter.
Came back from a Bosnia from a deployment to a new kitten looking just like yours. I don't know why, but for the next 15 years she wanted ti lick my lips (they aren't that special). All I did was close my lips and mumble "no tongue". I miss her.
Edit. Named her Sara, short for Sarajevo where I spent two years.

Plunger reminds me of our tuxedo, Zoey. She is lovey just like that, and she LOVES beards. In fact, the man at the shelter had named her Beardie because she nuzzled his beard so much.
You can train your dragon not to use their claws when they make biscuits on you.
It takes consistent, gentle feedback to get results. The really delicate part is not hurting the cat’s feelings in the process. You don’t want the cat to think you’re rejecting their gift of love. “I love you kitty, but please don’t hurt daddy.”
Mine eventually learned not to activate claws on me.

I was keeping plunger at the office but over the weekend he must have managed to get outside. We had a pretty bad storm roll in, and now I can’t find my little buddy

Now Plunger has you right where he wants you. He had it all planned out from the beginning. He gave you a taste of how wonderful and affectionate he is and now you’ll spend the rest of his life chasing the high you have right now. This is how serious addiction starts!!
Keep her. It’s obvious that Plunger loves you. FYI, a Vet Tech once told me that the best flea shampoo is the ORIGINAL DAWN. The one that’s used to was oil off of wildlife that is subjected to an oil spill. The bath water will turn pinkish-red depending upon the the amount of fleas and flea poop, so a second bath may be needed if the skin still has a reddish hue. Don’t use anything DAWN other than the original! Bleach and other additives have been added to the new formulas that could make your kitten/cat very sick.
