Historical Introducing the r/UFOs Book Club

54 Upvotes

Hello r/UFOs!

Due to the influx of new users over the last few years, we’d like to take some time to review Ufology literature with the community so that people can be more informed on what’s going on!

Currently, we have the subreddit wiki in the sidebar that contains historical blurbs about events, figures, and hypotheses within Ufology. Sadly, this resource is heavily underutilized by our user base.

The Goal of the Book Club

  1. Create a monthly megathread as a space for people engaging with the book club to discuss the book of the month.
  2. Expand subreddit user’s exposure to important literature within Ufology, ideally increasing their scope of knowledge.
  3. Foster comradery and find common ground for people with ideological differences.

Plan for Rollout

  1. Create a monthly sticky thread for each current community book, which aims to be a place to discuss its contents.
  2. Begin with books that are fundamental to understanding the UFO phenomenon.
  3. Use the foundational books as scaffolding for exploring future books with more complex themes and theories. Please make note that the materials discuss both nuts & bolts theories as well as “woo.”

We hope that you find this new monthly sticky to be educational, engaging, and fun! Please feel free to begin reading the first book on our list. If you’ve already read the book on the list, then we’d love to hear your thoughts concerning it!

The first book we will be reading together is The UFO Experience: A Scientific Inquiry by J. Allen Hynek.

Best,

r/UFOs Moderator Team

Disclosure Recent updates by Geoff Cruikshank, aka u/harry_is_white_hot on the 1962 Bluegill Triple Prime nuclear test in space that brought down a UAP

196 Upvotes

He deleted his account last summer, but I've been proud to do research alongside u/harry_is_white_hot aka Geoff Cruikshank as we try and put this whole puzzle together regarding what our governments know about UAP/UFOs/NHI. Lately he's been releasing some crazy work regarding the Bluegill Triple Prime nuclear test that brought down a UAP in September 1962 and spurned a flurry of action by JFK and LBJ.

According to Tom DeLonge, “we brought down something else entirely from Roswell and it really made the government reevaluate what it knew about aliens."

I've got everything wrapped in a bow of a free article here:

Disclosure Jake Barber: "Skinwalker Ranch is one of the greatest shows out there. They would be would be at least level 4 by our Discovery Framework". Kirkpatrick (former AARO head) was at a 2018 meeting about SW Ranch. McConnell (senate staffer that interviewed Legacy Program whistleblowers) was also there

23 Upvotes

It looks like Skywatcher part 2 may look like Skinwalker Ranch TV show. Personally i've only seen some small clips from the Skinwalker Ranch TV show. I never tried to watch it properly, because what i saw seemed like scripted reality, which means i dont know which parts are real and which arent.

Jake Barber: "Skinwalker would be at least level 4 by our Discovery Framework"

Below are some quotes from Jake Barber on X:

Jake Barber: "Skinwalker Ranch is one of the greatest shows out there. It is one of my favorite critiques we get: “Skywatcher is “just” another Skinwalker Ranch show.” Thank you. Let’s get even more of this genre of shows going world-wide. All hands on deck to crack the code of the phenomenon."

Jake Barber: "I would call it more than data - it is evidence. Skinwalker would be at least level 4 by our Discovery Framework."

Also someone asked him "if Skywatcher experiences unexplained equipment malfunctions during its investigation" (like what happens on Skinwalker Ranch). Barber replies:

Jake Barber: "Yes, constantly."

Brandon Fugal: "Kirkpatrick was at a 2018 Skinwalker ranch briefing in Washington DC"

Regardless of what one thinks of the SW Ranch TV show, there does seem to be stuff going on there. Brandon Fugal is the owner of SW Ranch, and awhile ago proved that Kirkpatrick (former head of AARO) went to a briefing about SW Ranch in 2018. This news came out about half a year ago and if i remember correctly, Kirkpatrick denied being at the meeting, and Fugal exposed this to be a lie:

Brandon Fugal: "As I demonstrated & clearly brought the receipts, both Kirkpatrick & McConnell were at the head of the April 19, 2018 Washington D.C. briefing exclusively focused on Skinwalker Ranch - years before I went public with my identity as owner"

Brandon Fugal: "Kirkpatrick would later deny ever participating in the briefing or having any prior interest in these topics - even going so far as to say he had never even met me. This is one of the most powerful examples of disinformation campaigns & efforts to discredit & deny the reality of these topics"

The post above contains an image that proves Kirkpatrick and McConnell were there.

McConnell interviewed Legacy Program whistleblowers

A few days ago Jesse Michel published this interview with McConnell:

...former Senate intel staffer Kirk McConnell who goes on record after 18 years on Capitol Hill to discuss how UFO secrecy conceals exotic science. McConnell—who met firsthand with legacy crash retrieval whistleblowers and followed up on David Grusch’s claims—warns that revolutionary tech is buried in shell programs, shielded by corporate control and broken oversight. He served under Senator Jack Reed, a senior Armed Services member, during key post-9/11 reorganizations. McConnell says the U.S. may never see the benefits of this science unless Congress reasserts oversight.

NHI Excerpt from "Ultraterrestrial Models" by Harold E. Puthoff

58 Upvotes

(4)ULTRATERRESTRIALS As a focused example of broadening the scope of our investigation, let us consider the ultraterrestrial hypothesis as defined above (e.g., ancient occult group, isolated pre-Diluvial high-tech society, stranded ETs/“gods”), i.e., sequestered terrestrial cultures - examples (2) and (3) above – existing alongside us in distinct stealth.

First, what are possible signatures of an ultraterrestrial as opposed to extraterrestrial presence?

• Density of sightings over decades, if not centuries, potentially indicative of a present-time local as opposed to extraterrestrial source – in other words, that the UAP phenomenon is so ubiquitous as to argue against the simple model of an occasionally-visiting extraterrestrial explorer;

• Recent (since WWII) claimed focused messaging regarding elimination of nuclear technologies, and concern regarding environmental degradation are would-be reasonable themes for a co-located, but isolated, terrestrially-located society;

• Via subterfuge and disinformation, stealthily-injected proliferating emphasis on the ET theme as misdirection to prevent exposure of local terrestrial habitation, as in theater à la Vallee’s Messengers of Deception [10];

• Interactions with humanoid genotype ranging from modern humans to ‘creatures’ (including sightings of “little people” over the centuries – encounters with nonhumans that haunt our folklore, let alone genetically-engineered biological robots or drones), all variants within the lexicon of alternative forms of the human genome [11];

• Seeming emphasis on reproduction (e.g., harvesting of sperm and ova from certain genetic lines), let alone hybridization, could bespeak outreach toward genetic diversity for a relatively inbred, local, isolated society on the wane and suffering from a potentially debilitating genetic syndrome;

• Observation of vehicles ‘not that advanced’ (i.e., ‘comprehensible,’ as opposed to ‘magical’), even if nonetheless well in advance of our own;

• Use of telepathic information transfer, only marginally ahead of present-day technical neurobiological advances in the public domain;

• Reports of cave-like or undersea destinations during claimed abductions;

• Given the need for secrecy concerning the reality of all of the above on the part of ultraterrestrials as co-located denizens of our planet, while nonetheless being subject to a certain level of co-dependence, the inscrutable nature of the interactions would not be an unexpected outcome.

Second, under the assumption of compelling evidence for the above, it would be critical to discern the motivations of the ultraterrestrials to maintain such a secret existence. Of possible utmost concern to them could be an overarching fear of exploitation, even annihilation, due to vulnerabilities, despite possessing certain levels of technological superiority; or fear of assimilation and consequent loss of culture, religion, customs, uncontrolled genetic mingling – i.e., culture shock; fear of human diseases; concern for consequences to the terrestrial human population, with its attendant reciprocal effects on their own culture; potential disruption of resource gathering, including benefits derived from stealthy interactions with, and possibly manipulating certain aspects of, the human terrestrial society.

Third, what might be the consequences for humanity of Disclosure of an ultraterrestrial group as compared with that of extraterrestrial visitation? Clearly, the Devil is in the Details, but one could speculate that the former might in fact be more dire than the latter, considering that they had been here ‘amongst us,’ perhaps in very personal ways. In contrast, ET visitation, in all probability being more foreign and inscrutable, could be ‘safer.’ Such topics constitute interesting material for sociological research. For more detailed discussion of what I have called here the ultraterrestrial hypothesis, I recommend The Cryptoterrestrials by Mac Tonnies [12].

Are there any hints in the UAP literature that there is evidence that the ultraterrestrial scenario outlined above may have some validity? Author Nick Redfern, in his book The NASA Conspiracies, asserts that there is [13]. His interview of an ex-NASA Gemini contractor led to the claim that there was evidence of a small band of individuals who were not aliens from some distant star system at all, but supposedly represented the last vestiges of a very ancient terrestrial race of beings that, thousands of years ago, had an advanced and isolated civilization that was responsible for the legends of Atlantis and similar stories, but who were forced by circumstances to retreat into remote sequestered locales for survival (e.g., mountains, seabed).

At present they were primarily concerned about nuclear war and degradation of the environment, and this has led to some degree of attempting to influence our culture. However, they felt it had to be carried out under the ruse that they were from distant star systems to protect what they felt to be their vulnerable position, despite their advanced technology.

Sighting Help Identifying Unexplained Object in Video - Orlando, FL

16 Upvotes

Hey all,

First time posting, long time lurker. Need help identifying the following object caught by my dedicated Sky Cam setup.

https://reddit.com/link/1jsy443/video/811efwovq8te1/player

Some high-level information for additional context:

  • Location: Orlando, FL. Camera facing directly north-east towards the beach, slightly north of Port Canaveral.
  • Time: 4/6/25 at 5:29 A.M.
  • Setup: Dedicated Sky Cam recording 24/7 the skies of central Florida and stored in a local NVR. I run a docker instance with special software (BOB) that helps me with detection and analysis of flying objects caught by the camera. I've recorded everything you can think of from bugs, bats, birds, rocket launches, meteors. I review recorded footage daily as a hobby and this is the first time catching anything like this.
  • Footage: I've compared the footage to previous footage I've caught to keep myself grounded and potentially find a prosaic explanation for what I caught. The closest in terms of luminosity would be a meteor but this was at least 2x brighter than any other meteor I've caught and the speed, trajectory and visibility did not match what I've seen in the past.
  • Artifacts: I'm attaching 2 artifacts. The first is a "heat map" image auto-generated by the special detection software I'm running to give you a reference as to where to look. The second is the actual video recorded taken straight from my UniFi NVR. If you watch on a big screen its easier to spot the object slightly before and after it increases luminosity for a few seconds. Very strange.
  • I checked and there were no rocket launches happening around that time earlier today, furthermore, I've recorded launches in the past and they definitely look much much different than the footage in question. I shared video with close friends and they also don't know what this could be.

Historical Looking for an old UFO compilation video on YouTube that was nearly 10 mins long and had an atmospheric techno soundtrack

3 Upvotes

Sorry if this is a bit of a weird post, but there's a UFO video I watched quite a lot in the late 2000s / early 2010s that I've never been able to find again and it's bugging me. I think it was 9 minutes long and mostly air force / NASA footage, has a short interlude of an astronaut or NASA employee speaking, then continues the video with slideshows of almost bacterial / deep sea fish looking UFOs. The music is classic 90s style trance / ancient techno. If anyone knows what I'm talking about I'd be very grateful.

Physics Other than theories on extracting energy from the vacuum, the AAWSAP DIRDs only other discussions of energy sources is anti-matter annihilation and fusion energy with 3 out of 37 documents dedicated to fusion energy with an emphasis on aneutronic fusion

62 Upvotes

The Advanced Aerospace Weapon Systems Applications Program (AAWSAP) Defense Intelligence Reference Documents (DIRD) were commissioned by Bigelow Aerospace at the direction of Dr. Hal Puthoff under the famous Pentagon "UFO Program" known as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) and these documents were created by leaders in their respective fields for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) with the supposed intent of conveying existing hidden technology without actual physical access to it according to Puthoff. This is essentially saying that the documents' topics might cover actual working secret technology that has been stove piped away.

Therefore, it is very interesting that other than theories on extracting energy from the vacuum, the AAWSAP DIRDs only other discussions of energy sources is anti-matter annihilation and fusion energy with 3 out of 37 documents dedicated to fusion energy with an emphasis on aneutronic fusion. Aneutronic fusion is a form of fusion that doesn't create neutrons and therefore, doesn't create radioactive waste. There are 2 documents dedicated entirely to the discussion of aneutronic fusion, which is the only topic other than space-time metric engineering concepts to receive multiple documents for its sole dedication. The other fusion document is focused on inertial electrostatic confinement fusion, but it also places a heavy emphasis aneutronic fusion.

The Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) Documentation - The Black Vault

DIRD_09-DIRD_Inertial_Electrostatic_Confinement_Fusion.pdf

DIRD_30-DIRD_Aneutronic_Fusion_Propulsion.pdf

DIRD_37-DIRD_Aneutronic_Fusion_Propulsion_II.pdf

These DIRDs were published around 2010. In 2020 the US announced a target to build a working fusion energy pilot program by 2040 by working with public and private industry. It changed that target to 2030 by 2022. The UK currently has a target of 2040, and China has a target of 2050. Commercializing fusion energy has now become a global race with increased investments within the US private sector following apparent concerns that China could be first due to its large collaborative approach and dedication to fusion research.

The DIRDs on invisibility cloaking, magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) air breathing propulsion, and fusion energy are arguably the most "down to earth" topics discussed out of the 37 documents. They are theoretically sound and very much within consensus physics. They are topics that have mostly engineering challenges rather than any issues with theory. That makes them practical areas of research for near term technological advance and it's not surprising that we are now seeing a sea change with investment into fusion energy research.

DIRD_07-DIRD_Invisibility_Cloaking-Theory_and_Experiments.pdf

DIRD_33-DIRD_MHD_Air_Breathing_Propulsion_and_Power_for_Aerospace_Applications.pdf

Most fusion energy approaches require large scaling laws, but not all approaches require this. This means that there are compact fusion designs being researched. It appears unlikely at this time that any pilot program chosen for funding would be a compact fusion design, but that's not due to such designs not having merit and more to do with bureaucratic thinking when it comes to funding research. Large projects that create jobs historically have taken precedent over smaller projects with high risk, but also very high potential reward at a fraction of the investment of the giant behemoth projects.

Image from DIRD 37

In this image you can see 5 privately funded fusion energy companies. 3 of them are working on aneutronic fusion (in these cases pB11.) 2 of them are properly (just barely) funded; Lawrenceville Plasma Physics and General Fusion. 3 of them only require funding under $10M. Only General Fusion is not a compact fusion approach.

Of the 5 private companies, only 1 is a compact fusion approach to aneutronic energy that only requires under $10M in funding and has achieved that funding at the time of publication. That is Lawrenceville Plasma Physics or LPP for short.

There is a DIRD on Maverick Inventors VS Corporate Inventors that argues the next innovations are likely to arise from small independent groups of innovators.

DIRD_17-DIRD_Maverick_Inventor_Versus_Corporate_Inventor-Where_Will_the_Next_major_Innovations_Arise.pdf

Image from DIRD 17

This DIRD identifies the best maverick inventor to be types 3 and 4. They are older, motivated, realistic, have little bureaucracy, low capitalization, high education, some business sense, medium measurement skills, excellent lab skills, excellent flexibility, and low media interest. This means they are smart people you probably have never heard of before.

How is this related to UFOs?

Someone is bound to ask this at this point despite the fact that I'm using documents from the Pentagon UFO program as my references. Firstly, I remind you that Dr. Hal Puthoff has claimed that these documents are essentially what was delivered in leu of actual UFO material that had been stove-piped. This is essentially saying that these documents are technical breadcrumbs of information about what is hidden away. Secondly, a compact fusion reactor is NOT outside the realm of relatively near-term commercialization. Such a technology would certainly make for a great fuel source for advanced aerospace engineering concepts that would resemble UFOs especially in conjunction with MHD technology for propulsion. Additionally, more advanced theoretical forms of propulsion become more practical to pursue with access to compact fusion reactors because of the high energy demands inherent in space-time metric engineering theories.

Could we make anti-matter drives one day? Probably. But it's not likely to be achieved before fusion energy.

Could we extract energy from the vacuum one day? Maybe, but it's an idea that faces both theoretical challenges as well as engineering challenges.

Could there be other approaches to advanced propulsion using alternative theories concerning the nature of gravity? Yes.

My point is that aneutronic fusion is clearly an intelligent focal point if you are interested in the physics of how UFOs may operate using the most pragmatic approach possible. And this is based on work largely from the AAWSAP DIRDs themselves. You know, the breadcrumbs.

Sighting Black aircraft vanished

18 Upvotes

Time: 6/12/2024 7:40am Location: Northamptonshire

Hi, a few months ago me and my friend were driving to work at about 7:40am. In a field on our left we saw a very large black aircraft only slightly hovering off the ground, with no noise at all. We drove past a bush blocking our view of the aircraft for about 10 seconds. When we looked back at the aircraft, it was no longer there. Completely vanished. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I’m just wondering how on earth it could completely vanish so quick, so low to the ground. This was in Northamptonshire.

Historical Very Strange: Twelve Encounters with Extraterrestrial Humanoids

Very Strange: Twelve Encounters with Extraterrestrial Humanoids

by Preston Dennett

At the beginning of the Modern Age of Ufology in the late 1940s, many UFO researchers refused to take humanoid reports seriously. When they finally did begin to research them, humanoid encounters were considered rare events. But now many researchers are reversing their opinion. There are now many thousands of cases on record; and given that most people don’t report their encounters with humanoids to UFO reporting agencies, the number is likely much higher than that. Cases go back more than 100 years and come from all over the world. This episode presents twelve lesser-known cases, starting from 1940 up to 2013, each involving different types of humanoids. Everything we know about extraterrestrials comes from the people who have seen them. It’s time that we take these reports seriously, because there are a lot of them.

TALL HUMANOIDS IN GLOWING METALLIC OUTFITS. One evening in the early 1940s, Vicente Pedone, a police sergeant from Buenos Aires, Argentina, was stationed in Oriente, with his partner when a young man who lived in the area rushed into the station to report that an aircraft had crashed into the mountains several kilometers way. The three men rushed to the location to discover something very different: it was a landed saucer-shaped craft, and standing around it were several tall humanoids. After a short observation, the men became frightened and fled the area. Returning to the site the next day, the man who had first seen the object says he found burned vegetation where the craft had landed.

THE CLOUDED CRAFT. One evening in 1952, bricklayer Felix Fize and several of his coworkers were at the airport in Nimes-Courbessac, France when a small, odd-looking “cloud” began to zoom towards them much faster than a cloud could move, and at low elevation. When it came alongside them, they were shocked to see that within the cloud was a metallic cylinder-shaped craft with large windows. And through the windows they could see five or six men wearing jumpsuits, helmets and goggles, moving around inside it. The object was in view for only a few seconds before it again assumed the appearance of a strange cloud and zipped off. Researchers later learned there were several other witnesses.

A UFO DRIVE-BY WITH HUMANOIDS. One evening in October 1957, a married couple drove through the remote Vild Mose, known as “the Wild Bog,” the largest raised bog in Europe. Both simultaneously observed a brilliant light moving at ground level in a field, coming right towards them. Soon it approached to within only a few hundred feet and the couple were shocked to see that it was a very strange craft with a glowing green, transparent dome on top. Inside the dome, side-by-side, sat two human-looking uniformed men. The husband slowed down and wanted to investigate, but his wife became frightened and insisted upon leaving the area. The husband drove off slowly, watching through his rearview mirror as the craft moved off.

THEY LOOKED JUST LIKE PEOPLE…BUT THEY WEREN’T. On the night of December 18, 1977, Bruno Nygard was walking along a dirt road towards his home in the small, isolated, rural village of Sahavarra, Sweden. Ahead of him, he was puzzled to see what he first thought were two children. Strangely, they appeared to be sitting on a floating platform. As the strange craft and figures approached, the two little beings hopped off and began to walk alongside the craft, picking up things off the ground. Suddenly they seemed to see Bruno. Apparently startled by his appearance, the two little men hopped back onto their craft, which turned around, headed towards the field and disappeared behind the trees.

IT WAS NOT HUMAN. On the evening of August 7, 1979, coworkers and friends, Liz and Ruth, left a company bridal shower and drove along a remote country highway near Duluth, Minnesota. Both ladies instantly became puzzled by what appeared to be three children playing the middle of the road ahead of them. They drove closer and became even more mystified when two of the short figures seemed to float or glide off the road. But one remained standing in the road facing them, blocking the road. Driving up to the figure and coming to a stop, they were shocked to see that it wasn’t a child; instead it was a short figure with a bald head, large dark eyes and gray skin. Neither of them had heard of gray aliens and didn’t know what they were looking at. For the next ten minutes, the strange figure stared at them. Finally, fear overcame their shock and they drove off. Following the encounter, both women were somewhat traumatized, and the dash-lights on the car never worked again. This was one of an intense wave of encounters that struck the area.

NINE-FOOT-TALL HUMANOIDS. In early 1980, a massive wave of UFO activity occurred in the rural area on the outskirts of Algeciras, Spain. People reported seeing glowing objects zipping across the sky, hovering, sending down beams of light and more. Then on February 12, 1980, a married couple saw the lights from a friend’s home and decided to drive towards them and investigate. They came upon a group of 40 witnesses watching the objects from a distance. Three young men joined the couple and they drove up to the objects, at which point one of them landed a few hundred feet away. To their shock, nine-foot-tall, uniformed humanoids exited the craft, walking around it. Suddenly the strange figures began to approach the witnesses. The witnesses fled in their car, and to their horor, the humanoids chased them. The next night, another witness, a nightwatchman reported a frightening humanoid encounter.

REALLY SCARED, BUT ALSO CURIOUS. After visiting a friend’s house in a small town in rural Utah one summer night in 1981, a woman was driving the short distance to her home when her car broke down. It was only two miles back to her house, so she decided to walk and return for her car in the morning. But moments later, a glowing white craft the size of a trailer whooshed silently overhead and then landed in the middle of the road in front of her. The witness’s curiosity overcame her fear, and she approached the craft. A hatch opened and a little human-looking man stepped out. She smiled and waved at him. The man seemed shocked and shouted something through the open door of the UFO. Instantly there was a flash of light and the witness fainted. She awoke on the ground, and getting up, saw that the little man and his craft were gone.

IT WAS GONE WITHIN SECONDS. In early August 1983, numerous residents over a wide area in central Puerto Rico reported seeing strange craft, of various types, cylindrical and saucer-shaped, hovering and zooming around in the night sky. On the night of August 13, a man in the Algarrobo area was hunting for archaeological relics when he heard the sound of swarming bees. Looking up he saw a large pyramidal-shaped craft hovering only a few hundred feet overhead. And looking down at him through a large rectangular porthole were three humanoids wearing silver jumpsuits. After a few minutes, the object darted away at fantastic speed.

MINIATURE UFO AND HUMANOID. It was a sunny spring day in 1984 as a young boy walked through a forested field near his home in Vancouver, Washington. To his amazement, he saw something shiny and metallic sitting in the field ahead of him. Approaching it, he was astonished to see that it was a three-foot-wide flying saucer with a transparent dome on top, and inside the dome was a little man sitting on a seat, holding a control lever. Intrigued and ever-curious, the boy grabbed the tiny craft. The little man cringed in fear, but composed himself and caused the craft to emit a buzzing noise. Instantly, the craft pulled free of the boy’s grip and took off into the blue sky.

WHAT I SAW WAS FOUR FEET TALL. It was around 2:30 am on March 20, 1997, as a man was in his home in Port Perry, Ontario, Canada. Suddenly, movement caught his eye and looking in that direction he was shocked to see gray aliens standing in his home. He said they were short, skinny with large bald heads and were moving their arms in slow motion. They quickly disappeared. He watched them for only a few seconds, but realized that more time had passed than he thought. He thinks he may have had missing time.

WE CAN FIND YOU. It was one evening in January 2007 as an anonymous man stepped out from his place of employment in New Orleans, Louisiana to take a break from work. Lighting a cigarette, he was puzzled to hear a strange beeping noise. This was followed by an overwhelming sense of fear. Looking up, he became panicked when he saw a short gray ET wearing a dark robe looking down at him. Immediately it began to communicate telepathically, and the message was not reassuring.

THE GRAY IN THE BEDROOM. Late at night on April 11, 2013, a woman woke up from a sound sleep to find herself standing at the bedroom door of her parents’ home in Catania, Italy. Compelled to open the door, she was shocked to see a short gray alien, and floating in the air next to it, in a vertical position, was her mother, clearly entranced and unconscious. When the gray turned and looked at the witness, she panicked, slammed the door, fled to the bathroom, locked the door and hid in the bathtub. This was the first of a series of strange events.

These twelve cases are just the tip of the iceberg. With many thousands of cases on record, we have reached a point that it would be wholly unscientific to dismiss these cases as the result of hoaxes, hallucinations, misperceptions or mental illness, which is exactly what our governments have been doing for decades. The worldwide UFO coverup has caused untold damage to the progress of ufology. It’s time for the coverup to end, and to accept the fact that we are not alone in this universe.

Disclosure Do you think that Jacob Barber testifying under oath in front the Congress could be of any advantage?

I think it's a legitimate question considering how little happened after Grusch's, Graves's and Fravor's hearing.

Realistically speaking, Congress is helping gatekeeping crash retrieval program at the moment. There is no ambiguity here for me. I think some of the allegedly pro-disclosure members of Congress are just pretending to be for disclosure and ultimately they just muddle the water and try to contain any leaks. Hearings are entertainment/shows for the public.

There was enough time to make considerably more than they did since Grusch, hard to disagree with that.

So yeah, for me Congressional hearings seem to be pointless at this stage.

From this perspective, Skywatcher project would make more sense than a congressional hearing. Too bad Skywatcher started with big announcements and very little to show up for them, which is terrible order of doing things, especially with all the load in the ufology of people doing that.

There is one thing I like about Skywatcher and that is that it seems it doesn't want to rely on Congress or government. This is definitely refreshing and seems more realistic than what for example Elizondo does. I really don't like this narrative of Coulthart that there are many different types of views within the government so we shouldn't portray it as one body. To hell with that. The people who set up the agenda apparently want the cover up to go on that's what counts.

So yeah, for me, disclosure was prevented from happening by Trump behind the scenes already and there is hardly any better proof of that than the ridiculous drone statement made by Levitt. I'm not even implying The Ongoing December Situation has/had something to do with UAP or UFOs, I'm just saying it was a great opportunity for Trump to show if he really means transparency and he clearly said f*** you to us.

The situation seems to be actually quite contained from the gatekeepers POV I think.

Location: Gatwick, UK

Date: 14 November 2024

Time: 1700

Duration: Seconds

Number of witnesses: one

Description of sighting: Reposting as original post taken down.

Just came across this in the UK AIRPROX reports for January 2025. You'll have to scroll about halfway down the page to find the report.

14 Nov 24 : 1700 : Gatwick : 3500ft - Pilot of an ATR72 reported seeing five high speed aircraft cross in front of the aircraft, leaving a wake. Nothing reported on radar, no other witnesses.
https://www.airproxboard.org.uk/reports-and-analysis/monthly-airprox-reviews/airprox-reports-2025/january/
Investigators "asked if [the pilot] had seen fighters as detailed, [they] replied that [they had] seen strobe lights as it was dark but indicated that there had been 5 sets, 2 pairs of 2 and a single, fast moving to the southwest towards [Southampton] and [Bournemouth]" ... The pilot asserted they were “two pairs of fighters I would guess, followed by one on his own.”

Below are the details of the reports on the UK AIRPROX website.

The ATR72 pilot reports that they were on right base about to turn onto the ILS for RW08R at Gatwick when they observed 5 other aircraft at a similar level passing from right to left at high speed (two pairs and one singleton). They reported it to Gatwick Director who stated that they had nothing on radar. After landing, the ground controller informed them that an ops vehicle would attend the aircraft on stand to pass a telephone number to the captain. They called the number and spoke to someone who said they were ‘TC supervisor’. They described the event in as much detail as possible and [the supervisor] stated that they were unaware of any military activity in the area.

The Gatwick Approach Controller reported operating Gatwick in a bandboxed configuration, and the sector was fairly quiet at the time of the incident. [The ATR72] was on a base leg heading, pointing towards a 12 mile final for RW08R. When they were approximately 2 or 3 miles south of the centreline and just before they were turned on to a closing heading they reported that they had just seen 5 fast-moving contacts pass right-to-left in front of them and that they had encountered their wake. The [ATR72] was at approximately 3500ft at the time that they reported the encounter. The pilot reported that they had nothing showing on TCAS and they, [the controller], also had nothing showing on radar, information that they immediately passed on to the pilot. The pilot then reported that they had seen 5 aircraft pass them very quickly and that they were heading towards the south west. [The pilot] indicated that they were in 2 pairs and a single, thus making the 5 aircraft. When they quizzed the pilot about what they thought the objects were and whether they were drones or something similar. [The pilot] said that they were fighters. The following pilot said they would keep an eye out but made no indication to suggest that they had seen anything. The [ATR72] and all subsequent aircraft were vectored for the approach without any further issues or reports of any unknown aircraft. At no time did anything show on their radar that suggested to them that there was anything in the vicinity to affect these aircraft.

NATS Safety Investigation reports that [the ATR72] was on base leg approach, inbound to Gatwick, descending through altitude 3600ft for 3000ft, 11.7NM bearing 243° from Gatwick Airport. At 1729:22, the pilot of [the ATR72] reported to the Gatwick-INT controller: "Just visual with five multiple fast-moving targets, right to left. Nothing on TCAS and we got quite severe wake turbulence". The Gatwick-INT controller confirmed to the pilot that there was nothing visible on radar. The pilot stated the targets were at a “similar level and were two pairs and one singleton", heading in a south-westerly direction. The Gatwick-INT controller requested further information on the appearance of the targets. The pilot asserted they were “two pairs of fighters I would guess, followed by one on his own.”

Analysis of the radar by Safety Investigations indicated that there were no associated primary or secondary contacts visible on radar at the approximate time of the event, nor 30min either side of the pilot's RT report.

The pilot of [an aircraft], following on downwind approach, stated they would “keep an eye out”, but no sighting was reported.

An email describing the subsequent telephone conversation between the TC Operational Supervisor and the pilot of [the ATR72] stated when ‘asked if [the pilot] had seen fighters as detailed, [they] replied that [they had] seen strobe lights as it was dark but indicated that there had been 5 sets, 2 pairs of 2 and a single, fast moving to the southwest towards [Southampton] and [Bournemouth].’

Safety Investigations attained confirmation from Swanwick Military that no military aircraft were operating in this area. It was further stated ‘it would be highly unlikely that we would be operating fast jets in the vicinity of Gatwick. The only time fast jets operate down there is if they are doing a tour of the coastline (normally under [NATS] control) or after a flypast over London or in the south of England.’

Safety Investigations also checked for any NOTAM activity which could explain this sighting, but none were found. Safety Investigations are therefore unable to ascertain which aerial system was part of this sighting and no further investigation was possible.

UKAB Secretariat made extensive enquiries with USAFE(UK) and UK military operators, who reported that no fast-jet activity had taken place at the time and location of the reported sighting.

UK AIRPROX Board - In the Board’s opinion the reported altitude and/or description of the object were such that they were unable to determine the nature of the unknown object.
