I've seen people doing it here and there, not sure how effective it will be though. The ship might have sailed by now.

Trump, his army of hogs, and his media mouthpieces are able to do stuff like that because their messaging is highly coordinated and pervasive. They've been wildly successful hijacking phrases that were typically used against him (like "fake news"), changing the meaning, and then relentlessly battering the public with it in lockstep until everyone is using their framing either intentionally or unintentionally.
