EMBROIDERY first mend

Post image

Embroidered some woven roses to close up a hole in a jacket that I have worn most days for three years. Definitely not perfect but it was good practice and now I’ve got some wonky but still cute flowers to admire!

This is gorgeous! You’ve embroidered before, right? My first project does not look this good at all! I’m not done, but, here, witness my first mending tragedy. 🤣

Thank you so much! Your mending “tragedy” also looks great! Very charming and cute, kind of makes me think of a stylized flower illustration.

This is my first time embroidering, but I’ve always been arty and crafty and decent with working with my hands. I think having experience with things like knitting, drawing, making miniatures, etc. was probably helpful for venturing into embroidery.
