REQUEST Mending Fake Leather
Hi! I'm currently working on improving my wardrobe and one of the rules I've set is that for each new garment I make, I need to mend or alter something I already own.
Next I wanted to fix this fake leather motorcycle jacket that I love. I was just going to replace the collar, but the damage is more extensive than I had thought and there's a sleeve panel falling apart, too. Does anyone have any ideas for mends on this material or should I just give up on this jacket? Thanks!

Once fake leather goes out, it's gone. You can't really stop it from separating. I suggest you thank the jacket for the many good years it gave you, and let it go.
