Fed should have dropped the rates. Now with all the government firings the unemployment is going to tick up significantly. The fed stated what? They are going to monitor the unemployment rate as one of the guages in their decision on rate policy. So rates are coming down due to sell off and the Fed will have to drop significantly and soon.

Yes. But they monitor two : inflation and employment. If employment is dropping precipitously they will eat inflation in the short term.

Historically the Fed has increased rates to fight stagflation so I don’t know where you’re getting this from.

True. But they do look at economic releases of payroll.
