If Kamala Harris was President and the stock market were tanking this bad, Trump and every Republican in the country would be demanding her impeachment

Because the GOP is a cult not an actual political party.

Most of the base don't have the minimum brain cells to understand politics or the economy or frankly how magnets work...

They literally just parrot what they see on Fox News and see in their right wing Facebook groups.

I know this is borderline snobby but hearing some of them try to talk about the potential wine/champagne tariffs was painful. They just don’t know how anything works and they’re proud

We've entered a new era.

Rather than being uninformed, people are misinformed and that's often worse.

People that are uninformed are often willing to to inform themselves in order to make a proper decisions.

Those who are already misinformed are likely going to stick to their guns because of sunken cost and all of that.

We have soooo many idiots running around thinking they're really smart because they saw a few youtube or IG videos on a topic.

It's quite crazy.

They are also willing to look up and say the sky is green if their dear leader say so. I asked one to do the Elon salute in public if that wasn’t a nazi salute. And out comes the narcissist playbook. It was that. If it was it wasn’t that bad. They see with their eyes but have the ability to lie to themselves because of fear and identity politics. There is no hope for them. If they are okay with that then they are okay with far worse things.

I think a big part of the problem is the "greatest country" mentality. Every good country's citizens are aware of its biggest problems instead of just saying "YeAh bUt fReEdOm".

“All that greatness, and they dont know what to do with it”, someone once said.

I appreciate the way you said that I would say I am uninformed mixed with the bottom. Thanks for making things a little clearer.

Asimovian "cult of anti-intellectualism"

I used to find it poor form to make fun of obviously dumb people, but at this point, it should be called out in their face. I'm actually surprised the MAGA faithful are still alive and walking around, considering they are brain-dead. It's truly bizarre that the US empire will fall because a bunch of imbeciles decided to elect THE Village Idiot as their president.

When they’re willfully ignorant I think it’s open season

I think it's worse than willful ignorance. They are purposefully misinformed. They're literally going out of their way to put lies and propaganda into their empty skulls because that's what makes them feel good. They also go out of their way to steer clear of inconvenient things like truth, science, historically accurate facts, etc, because they just don't vibe with them.

I can't up vote this and that's what makes us different.

Isn't the whole point of a tarrif is to boost local, non-competitive industries?

Isn't the whole point of champagne that it can only be made in a single place in the entire world?

1

u/djackieunchaned 22d ago

Exactly, there is no Champagne production in the US and there can’t be

This means that there are only 2 conclusions you can draw from him threatening tarrifs on champagne.

1: He doesn't actually believe in protecting local industries and is using it as a weapon against countries he doesn't like.

2: He doesn't actually understand how tarrifs or champagne works, making him a moron.

2 things can be true at once.

“You are telling me”

  • someone with a decade in mRNA boosting platforms who lived through the pandemic and still to this day has siblings that genuinely think a non-self-amplifying mRNA can reverse transcribe and transposition itself into DNA, thereby taking a dump on the entire Central Dogma of Biology

Well Trump and his party have brainwashed their voters into thinking that everyone is the enemy. That they live in the richest nation in the world is forgotten. Maybe if they had a few brain cells more they would see the corporations and billionaires as enemies and not thy neighbours
