I don't know if the markets would have been booming, but she would have been impeached immediately if she had illegally put in place tariffs that destroyed the world economy.

The irony is she had an economics degree, but we went for a con man who failed numerous businesses and declared bankruptcy 6 times.

she would have been impeached immediately

Weren't members of Congress already drafting up articles of impeachment to use at noon on January 20 in case she had won? And they did try to impeach her when she was in the VP role. Why? Doesn't matter, apparently. And yet this country still can't figure out who not to vote for.

They’re following the Mitch McConnell strategy where you obstruct literally anything the other party does even if they compromised and are now legislating some of your own policies. It helped kill the healthcare public option, and then enraged people over Obamacare anyway even though it was practically Romneycare from MA.

Mitch now says he regrets things and strongly dislikes Trump…. guess you shouldn’t have spent 20 years denying healthcare, paternity / maternity leave, housing construction and investment in American technology Mitch. You even voted against care for 9/11 first responders. Obviously Fox News and the Murdoch deserve just as much blame for their incompetence, looting of the west, and enabling China and Russia. Absolute scum. Great work. Their legacies will be remembered…

Mitch played dirty and took advantage of his power because he could and enabled this whole thing.

This is why it’s important to play by the rules even if you don’t have to, even when it means your opponent will score some points. It keeps things in balance.

Now we’re all fucked and Mitch is “sorry.” Burn in hell, Bitch.

This is play from Newt’s playbook. McConnell just perfected it.

Why can’t democrats use the Mitch McConnell strategy?

Only losers bankrupt a casino. You have to be really bad at this to lose money if your the house.

Or good at money laundering.

The American economy is effectively the casino in this case, the house that can throw its weight and stack the odds.. Trump crashed a casino, and is crashing the world's largest economy too.

He ran three casinos in Atlantic city. One would have been enough, but he got greedy. But also profitable. And all of that was financed by banks, later with the "Trump bonds", with 6-10% of interst rate. And THAT s difficult... the casinos went well at their peak times but then...

In his book he writes "I'll never do casino business in Vegas. Too far away". But later he tried... and lost $900M. He even let put dynamite into the building to crush it instead of selling it to an investor. You need balls to do that... he didnt pay income tax for 10 years after the Vegas default. Meaning he didnt make $900M profits the next 10 years...

Literally a shoe with an EO auto pen would have done better.

Eh, I would stop short of a Utopia, but we definitely wouldn't have domestic drama every day. Major fights against constitutional law and the rest of the world basically.

She would make mistakes like any other US president has though.

I love how the “what abouters” always pick the most obviously over the top bullshit to make their claims. So no of course the world’s problems would not have melted away because Harris won, but the market would not be in free fall. Our allies would still be our allies. Putin would not be popping champagne because now the USA is the biggest pariah in the world. Clearly with the GOP strangle hold on CONGRESS noting would get done. Hell they would probably have failed to pass a budget resolution just to push the govt into default so they could blame the black lady in the WH.

The sad fact is that 30% of US voters preferred to hurt everyone just to get one over on the smallest minorities, driven almost entirely by lies and propaganda. The result I fear is the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression done with literally not a single capable person in a position of power to help right the ship as it going down.

Somebody mentioned about this is n-th casino that Trump bankrupted

3

u/wrathofthedolphins 1d ago

Yeah that’s cause no matter how qualified or intelligent a woman is, America would rather vote for a white con man. There’s a reason why Trump can only win against women

u/Excellent_Copy4646 1d ago

this time, it was entirely self made. Like u can put a monkey in charge, that dosnet have a clue and dosent do anything and the market still wouldnt have tank like it did now.

It was a tough hill for Harris to get over. Racism combined with misogyny are 2 tough areas to overcome.

She was labeled a 'dei candidate' . Now we have someone who literally doesn't know what a tariff is setting trade policy. The label on the poster a couple of days ago said "tariffs charged to the US" The numbers had nothing to do with tariffs and nothing to do with charing the US. He is an ignorant embarrassment.

2

u/Mindrotter 1d ago

We should have realized after the first time, they don’t care about qualifications. Just that he’s racist

1

u/boobsrbest 1d ago

One of them bring a Vegas gambling casino.

1

u/DistantBar 1d ago

In a Harris USA, we would have grown tired of the Republican House and Senate blocking everything without the redundant executive order. What is happening now is somehow the road that we would have traveled at some point, even if Harris was elected. They have been wanting to do this.

u/Agreeable_Squash 1d ago

Not trying to dickride but trump has an Econ degree from wharton

2

u/Emrys7777 1d ago

But he can’t read. Did he buy that or get awarded it?

u/Leather-Blueberry-42 1d ago

Including a fucking casino!

When we were manufacturing stuff a single person of a family working could afford a car, a house, two kids, and a stay at home wife. 60% of every dollar ever created happened since 2008. That money goes into inflating real estate and stocks. 10% of people own 80% of the stock market, the next 40% of people own 13%. We have the highest budget deficit ever the last 4 years and highest amount spent on interest payment over 1 trillion. I don’t agree with tariffs u less used a way to gain leverage and even the playing field. China subsidizes industries, has slave labor, currency manipulation, forced tech transfer, a censored internet, is the number one producer of fentanyl, knockoffs, are openly hostile to us, want to take Taiwan… and they get treated like a developing country.

Markets boom with stability, you're probably correct that any boom would be limited because those on the right would now be going out their way to destabilise the markets under Kamala.

Populists like Trump and Musk know only how to break things.

1

u/DopestDope42069 1d ago

Bankrupted casinos. He bankrupted businesses that literally are designed to steal money legally. How do you do that? Theft or incompetence, either way, not something you want on the track record of the president.

u/Japparbyn 1d ago

Kamala would have been good for us rich people. I don’t like that Trump is disturbing wealth back to commoners. My portfolio has lost 800k. Bernie sanders and trump are the worst!

Not sure how the Americans could vote for Trump when the news keept saying bad things about him. Very annoying
