Around 1 billion birds (United States) and 25 million birds (Canada) die every year by flying into glass windows. This includes windows at all levels from low level houses to high rise buildings.
Window collisions are one of the largest threats to bird populations. However, there are several ways you can help reduce window fatality. Below are some links with steps on how to make your house bird friendly, either DIY or through reputable companies such as the American Bird Conservancy.

I don't exactly recall the head shape unfortunately, but I did my best approximation. Also the more I think about it, the less certain I am about the length of the legs, so maybe don't take that into account as much? Idk, hopefully this is still detailed enough to ID from!

My mom believes it’s albino but I don’t think that’s the case

What is this bird? This bird type is everywhere at our place and builds nests year after year. We leave them alone, and when we get too close or move too much around their nest, they let us know. Any info is appreciated...

Located in southern Vermont. 4/5/25 I think it’s either and cooper or sharp-shinned

I found this in South West England [dunno If I have to specify more I'm new on this lol,] but it was found in a field which was actually the same field I found a pheasant tail feather in [pretty sure] so I'm curious if it's a pheasant feather as most ones I've seen on Google haven't shown the same pattern and shape

The feathers look like a Moorhen, but the face looks like a Sora. It didn’t move like a Moorhen to me. It kept making a screechy noise.

These 2 birds made a large nest in my backyard and have been hunting the squirrels. I posted one to another sub (clearer picture) and was told it's possibly a Red Shouldered Hawk. But I noticed it's been sharing a nest, or so it seems, with another hawk that seems to look like a Cooper's Hawk (blurreir picture). Anyone able to confirm the bird types and clarify if it's possible for them to share a nest? They keep flying back to the same nest.

My stepmother and I saw this bird hanging around the feeder all day. We've tried looking it up but we can't find anything similar to him. Anyone know what he is?

We're getting a lot of wind in north east Texas and it blew a big limb out of one of our trees. This owl was chilling next to the downed limb. Just curious what kind of owl it is and if it's fully grown.

I was picking up feathers from outside the chicken coop and this one is mixed in but I know it is not from my birds.

Hi! Found these feathers and a shallow depression in the ground at the edge of a quarry in southern Belgium. I’ve seen a Eurasian Eagle Owl perched in nearby trees, and there are pellets at the cliff edge about 60m away — but nothing right near the feathers.Doesn’t seem like a nest site to me. Could it be predation, a fight, or just preening?
Also came across several piles of pigeon feathers nearby, and I’m wondering: could this be the owl’s doing, or maybe a falcon?
Photos attached, curious to hear your thoughts!
