Between this and the "How long can you stare at your wife?" L&T CEO guy, the takeaway is that the workforce should be exclusively men, and they should never go home except to impregnate their wives, who should just be home all day with children who will never know their fathers.

It's the perfect capitalist slave labor machine.

681

u/Vacillating_Fanatic āœ‚ļø Tax The Billionaires Jan 15 '25

But they don't want to pay the men enough to support a family on a single income, either.

u/merRedditor ā›“ļø Prison For Union Busters Jan 15 '25

They barely want to provide maternity leave. Maybe the next step in this downward spiral of quality of life is that we're advised to have kids and just surrender them immediately to work in the mines or something so that we can get back to those 80 hour work weeks.

120

u/NovelHare Jan 15 '25

I got 8 weeks paternity leave at 100%, my fiancƩe only gets 6 weeks maternity at 70% pay, and then can take FMLA for another few weeks and get like 60% of her pay.

Itā€™s ridiculous. They also donā€™t give us any kind of help or benefits, I thought everyone could get WIC to help with the cost of formula and diapers, since the government wants us to have kids.

Nope. She wouldnā€™t even qualify and she makes just under $40k a year.

Not even enough to support herself fully these days and be happy and thriving.

34

u/The_Sign_of_Zeta Jan 15 '25

My wife worked for the government at the time and got no leave, and I got no leave. The US is fundamentally broken with minimal protections and morons voted for people who want to repeal even those minimal things.

u/Kagedgoddess Jan 15 '25

Wait, YOU got MOrE leave than the woman actually Birthing the baby?? Does she work in a different field or something? Or is she entry level or something? Why the disparity?

41

u/ThrowACephalopod Jan 15 '25

Because each individual job gets to set how much leave they're willing to offer and at what rate.

The only thing that's guaranteed to people is FMLA leave, which doesn't guarantee you get paid for the leave either, just that you can't be fired for taking it.

20

u/BitwiseB Jan 15 '25

FMLA is such a bare-minimum joke. To qualify, you have to work:

1) at a business that employs at least 50 people within a 75 mile radius 2) for this employer for 12 consecutive months 3) at least 1250 hours within those 12 months

And then you are eligible for up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave per year.

Have pregnancy complications that put you on bed rest? Hope you werenā€™t planning to bond with your baby or recover after giving birth!

19

u/Ragnarok314159 Jan 15 '25

I had to take the entire FMLA because of nicu time. My work was pissed. ā€œWhy do you need to be there? You are their dad?ā€ HR delayed processing it and I was written up for it, was going to get fired.

Then it turned out the legal review made it all go away, and funny enough one of the head lawyers had kids in the nicu. He reviewed it all and apparently ripped them a new asshole.

2

u/nc863id Jan 17 '25

The power of understanding what people are going through really is something, isn't it?

7

u/Stagnu_Demorte Jan 15 '25

I also got more leave than my wife when we had our son. It's job dependent.

2

u/ForAHamburgerToday Jan 15 '25

There's no standard amount offered, it's up to each company to offer it or not.

It's just the logical conclusion of capitalism

22

u/ThePoetofFall Jan 15 '25

No, you pay a portion of your salary to have your kids educated in a private Christian boarding school.

9

u/Gorthax Jan 15 '25

You're not even gonna know which corporation is funding your education facility.

Five generations of social security number information paints a fucking picture.

4

u/ThePoetofFall Jan 15 '25

What does the second part mean?

2

u/P1xelHunter78 Jan 15 '25

No, you pay a portion of your salary to have someone elseā€™s kids educated in a private Christian boarding school now. They get state vouchers and get to demand the public schools bus their kids now in my state. Of course, public schools is socialism right?

6

u/sporeegg Jan 15 '25

The kids should grow up in disease and dirt, those who survive without vaccines and medical support should live until the ripe old age of 40 where they succumb to their work and environmentally induced ailments and are to be discarded as a warning to others.

7

u/Backupusername Jan 15 '25

Good. That way the kids will have to work, too. The line between "support a family" and "escape poverty" is too thin for their liking.

And it's not thin.

2

And they don't want to pay AMERICAN men enough.

"How long can you stare at your wife"

The what the fuck?

Forever.... like if I could spend all day every day with my partner, I would.

His comment tells me more about his marriage than anything else.

Don't forget to add zuck who thinks the office is "too feminized" whatever the fuck that means. He doesn't want women in more masculine roles, he doesn't want women in the office. He wants women barefoot and pregnant.

4

u/rexter2k5 Jan 15 '25

These people who argue for working nonstop through life reveal just how little they value life. They sign their own death warrant in that way; if they can't value the lives of others, then clearly life to Musk and the L&T CEO must be a crucible of existence, and they'd be better off dead.

I just wish they'd take their billions and fuck off.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Don't forget they can also knock up their unwilling colleagues, and also random women they encounter out in the street during their commute or when they get wasted after work. After all, since these shitstains are repealing abortion and divorce, it's not like the poor rpe victims are gonna be able to get out of dealing with the kid.

Do you think Elon raises any of his kids? Any dads out there, or moms, who think they could raise kids and be president/ceo of multiple ventures? Ninja edit: this isnā€™t in support of musky boy.

173

u/somekindofhat Jan 15 '25

He's been wearing at least one like a bullet proof vest for the last six weeks or so

106

u/Eat_That_Rat Jan 15 '25

That kid is shuffled off to a nanny the second he's off Vest Duty.

37

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

I hope that one day Musk has to defend himself against his sons frustration/anger at Musk for using him as a human shield. That's no way for person to treat another, let alone a parent to treat their child.

His son deserves to know how his father thinks of him.

52

u/mister_pants Jan 15 '25

As far as I can tell, he mostly just plays Diablo IV, tells Donald Trump what he thinks the government should do, and posts shit on Twitter. Being a CEO of 3 companies can't be that time intensive.

55

u/KnaveOfGeeks Jan 15 '25

He doesn't actually play games, at least not enough to be good at them. He definitely paid other people to level and grind for equipment on his D4 account

18

u/FrankensteinsDildo Jan 15 '25

He doesnā€™t play them enough to even know the basic of basic in game mechanics of the game. Watch a stream of him playing dude canā€™t even manage his inventory.

12

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Yup, the moment I heard about that shit I knew it couldn't be true. Muskrat spends way too much time shitposting - among other things - that I instantly doubted it.

See, I used to play MMOs, I like to think I know what obsession in this sphere looks like - when you get to the upper tiers in gaming, everything else becomes secondary. He's definitely unhinged enough to fit in with the no-lifer gamer crowd, but it's plain to see he's involved in too many other things that there's no way he's actually one of them.

such a great dad, amirite?

Oh wait. https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/elon-musk-transgender-daughter-vivian-wilson-interview-rcna163665

Vivian Jenna Wilson, the transgender daughter of Elon Musk, said Thursday in her first interview that he was an absent father who was cruel to her as a child for being queer and feminine.

20

u/amesann Jan 15 '25

Every day I think I can't despise this man anymore than I already do, and then I see another tweet by his dumbass or shit like this and then I hate him even more. I feel so bad for all his kids.

Considering he named them like you pick a WiFi password, I donā€™t think so

3

u/YouGotAte Jan 15 '25

Little hunter2 šŸ„¹

26

u/NuttyButts Jan 15 '25

So, let me conspiracy here for a second. Musk has like 12 kids now, almost all have been invitro (no confirmation on the ones with Grimes). Before Grimes, he had only amab kids. And he got really really mad when one of them turned out to be trans.

The crackpot theory? He was having all these kids to use as organ donors later, making sure he had boys because he probably thought the organs would be more compatible. And he was mad when one of them altered her hormones to not match his.

But tbh it's more likely that he has some weird white supremacist "spread his seed" thing.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Not to mention his video gaming habits which if were true mean heā€™s playing Diablo 4 15 hours a day

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Which any hardcore gamer would tell you couldn't be true. When you get to that level of no-lifing, everything else becomes secondary. Muskrat wouldn't have had the time to shitpost, deal with his work, etc. As you noted, people in that tier of gaming spend basically their entire day focusing on that shit.

Don't even have to speculate. There's apparently streams of him gaming, and it's painfully obvious he doesn't even know the basics. Mans struggled with the goddamn inventory screen.

2

u/pscoldfire Jan 15 '25

Honestly having a kid has made me way more in favor of violence against the 1% and all the bullshit here. He isn't the type to register that this big push for children without improvements is going to be a bad thing for him.

97

u/Half_Man1 Jan 15 '25

How would Elon know if itā€™s good having kids? Heā€™s never spent any time with his.

63

u/borg23 Jan 15 '25

Until he needs a human shield, anyway

13

u/MyPigWhistles Jan 15 '25

Well, he does spend a significant portion of his time insulting his daughter on Twitter, calling her mentally ill and other things.

4

u/Individual_Chart_450 Jan 16 '25

oh dont worry he spends a lot of time around kids just not as a father

46

u/Gerreth_Gobulcoque Jan 15 '25

I mean he's made at least one of his kids completely miserable. So I don't think I'll be taking the word of a happiness vampire thanks

5

u/taylorbagel14 Jan 15 '25

Based on things sheā€™s said, Iā€™d imagine sheā€™s not the only one heā€™s made miserable. He couldnā€™t even remember which of his twins was obsessed with broadway musicals (it was not his daughter like he claimed)

35

u/AngryMillenialGuy Jan 15 '25

The dude is a complete absentee father.

More Babies means more babies for rich white folks, not you and me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4Xhx4BH-qA

56

u/weonlyhadtenmen Jan 15 '25

They want us to have babies purely, so when we are dead, our kids work in the very same factories we did

30

u/munkamonk Jan 15 '25

And make sure we are too busy fighting over less scraps for more mouths, so we arenā€™t able to fight up

10

u/KingWolf7070 Jan 15 '25

They want us to fight each other over social issues so that we never stand together against them on economic issues.

14

u/PsychoNerd91 Jan 15 '25

More babies means more freah vessels to indoctrinate into their own values without any of the messy inconveniences like the 'the past'.

3

u/Human-ish514 Jan 15 '25

The plot to Jewel of the Nile just called, and wants its premise back.

3

u/fnarrly Jan 15 '25

Ye gods, I hadn't thought of that movie in ages.

22

u/Eat_That_Rat Jan 15 '25

I'd be absolutely shocked if he could name all his kids.

16

u/ijustsailedaway Jan 15 '25

He could probably do first names. But definitely not middle names and might have a hard time remembering last names too. No fucking way he knows birthdays

7

u/agent674253 Jan 15 '25

Since they are mostly IVF-babies I wouldn't be surprised if their birthdays were X/X (Oct 10) of any given year and thus easy to remember for ol' musky šŸ˜‚

/joke as their birthdays are not a secret, for the most part, but still, musk loves the x.

17

u/Coffin_Nailz Jan 15 '25

The fact that the graph starts at 1950, the baby BOOM, is wild. I would love to see the graph starting at like 1900, to give a view as to how abnormal that population level is

5

u/chickenboy2718281828 Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

This is such a stupid graph to show without context because while births have decreased, population has increased dramatically. For most of human history, having children die before reaching adulthood has been the expectation. Births are dropping because modern medicine keeps almost all children alive to adulthood. You don't have to (as morbid as this sounds) hedge your bets by having 6 kids anymore. Today a child dying before their parents is an uncommon tragedy. 300 years ago, it was just as sad, but it was the norm.

14

u/Loofa_of_Doom Jan 15 '25

Then the rich should have them and then put their own children into the factories.

8

u/taxpayinmeemaw Jan 15 '25

Donā€™t forget the wars

9

u/CareApart504 Jan 15 '25

7

u/FoamingCellPhone Jan 15 '25

If he likes kids, why doesn't he spend time with his? He's always going on drug binges and trying to impress a bunch of losers online.

13

u/drgoatlord Jan 15 '25

Kids ARE awesome. If you're ready for it. Even be ready doesn't convey the work, effort, time, and money it takes. How are people supposed to be excited about having kids if they work 60 hours a week, barely making enough to support themselves, let alone another tiny human (or two, or three) then how are they supposed to react? There are hardly any family neighborhoods anymore. If they want us to act like it's the 50s again then they need to fucking step up and support it. Taking civil rights away, not supporting nationwide healthcare, and threatening to automate most middle level jobs is not the way to achieving this.

7

u/Lost2nite389 Jan 15 '25

ā€œNothing will make you happierā€

I can think of many things, for example, give me $10k straight to my bank every week and never have to work again would make me happier than having kids

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

Considering he named his kids like you pick a WiFi password, I donā€™t think Elon understands parenting.

Heā€™s also a shill for RTO. As we all know, thereā€™s nothing more conducive to having children than both parents (assuming they both work in an industry where remote work is common) have to commute 2hrs each day to work and stay there for a minimum of 8hrs.

3

u/Successful-Creme-405 Jan 15 '25

How are people supposed to have kids

President Musk doesn't care because he doesn't take care of them

3

u/didntgrowupgrewout Jan 15 '25

I wouldnā€™t mind if the internet became flooded with reminders of what a ā€œmodelā€ parent Elon is.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Heā€™s trying to eliminate remote work so we all have 3 hour commutes. Does he want us to leave those babies in daycare 12 hours a day?

3

u/FatBearWeekKatmai Jan 15 '25

Has the global population dropped yet?

Is the reason the issue is framed as # of babies per womb to make it easier to strip women of their bodily autonomy in the USA?

Several countries in Africa have very high birth rates, but we don't hear about that. Wonder why?

1

Very simple:

  2. Elon Musk and his rich friends will sire all the children, with advanced AI algorithms determining optimal breeding strategies

It's like nobody actually read Project 2025. I know I didn't.

1

u/NeoSniper Jan 15 '25

A little above 2 per woman seems like a perfectly fine amount. If it was up to 60's/70's amount of 4 or 5 kids per woman (if I'm reading the chart correctly) we'd double the population of the planet each generation... and THAT sounds like a disaster.

1

u/theseus1234 Jan 15 '25

Have kids?

NO AFFORDABLE CHILDCARE. ONLY KIDS

1

u/BdubH Jan 15 '25

I have zero interest in raising kids because Iā€™m not sure they would be able to live a full and fulfilling life in the environment of today. Food insecurity, widespread deterioration of education, the lack of healthcare accessibility, you canā€™t even get a damn house with two bedrooms anymore for a price that wouldnā€™t involve seeing a kidney

I want kids a lot, badly even, but I donā€™t want them to live in such an environment that seems so hostile to everyone and everything in it. I can barely afford to live myself at the moment, how could I do that with more mouths to feed? And if they get sick thatā€™ll bankrupt me

1

u/e_man11 Jan 15 '25

Banned abortion and every contraceptive possible, condoms, pills, everything, and the secret service would even go to the hospital in case a woman was under suspicion of abortion. Also women had to go to the doctor once a month and check if they were pregnant.

Thenā€¦on the other sideā€¦there were not enough kindergartens, there were not enough nurseries, there was barely any paid leave. And yes the government expected women to work too, youā€™d need a good reason not to work and get papers.

So in the end everyone relied on grandparents or some people simply abandoned some children in orphanages. Which you all heard about probably.

Because of that trauma now we have the highest maternity leave in the world I think, 2 years fully paid at 85% of your salary.

Kinda dumb. It's been trending downward for since the 80s

1

u/LastStand4000 Jan 15 '25

All research shows that having children makes you unhappier on average. All of it.

1

u/Raven123x Jan 15 '25

Doesnā€™t Elonā€™s kids hate him?

1

u/Pod_people Jan 15 '25

The low birthrate crisis is already baked in the cake for many countries. We're too poor, too busy to raise kids. We can't afford houses big enough to house kids. I make just enough to survive. I will neither get married nor have kids.

1

u/Low_Presentation8149 Jan 15 '25

People won't. That's why the 2025 project includes banning all abortion and contraception.

1

u/zmrth Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

Not even sure i want some, as a married 36.

1

u/AlludedNuance Jan 15 '25

Elon Musk has likely never read any of his children a bedtime story.

1

u/Beneficial_Climate18 Jan 15 '25

Kids are a prop to these assholes

1

u/dalehitchy Jan 15 '25

Having kids is rewarding (albeit tiring) but if people like Musk are telling us to have kids I absolutely wouldn't. I absolutely detest the guy. I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers dropped even further because of musks encouragement.

1

u/TheCopyKater Jan 15 '25

Worlds most divorced man who's hated by several of his kids says, "Kids are awesome"

1

u/Difficult-Worker62 Jan 15 '25

As someone who use to work 70-80 hours a week, and now only does between 40-60 hours a week I will not go back to just working and sleeping. Itā€™s absolutely hell on youā€™re body and mind

1

u/here4astolfo Jan 15 '25

Is that why all of them hate you elon?

1

u/Daimakku1 Jan 15 '25

Yes, have more babies! We need more serfs to clean our toilets, I-I mean.. babies are cute! -these billionaire assholes

1

u/SoulSkrix Jan 15 '25

We are overpopulated anyway. I would welcome a generation or two with much less children, sadly it places a burden with seniors making up most of the population.

1

u/Songbird_85 Jan 15 '25

How many times do we need to remind them that half of us canā€™t even afford child care, let alone food, clothes, insurance etc for said child? Iā€™m a single mom of a 12 yr old boy and about to start sellin off organs on the black market to pay to feed the little bottomless pit. No fuckin way could I afford to still pay childcare on top of it. When the income cap for any sort of assistance is 25k a year, that leaves a lot of us too poor to live but not poor enough for help.

1

u/dday3000 Jan 15 '25

Is that why he is never with his kids?

1

u/coffeejn Jan 15 '25

You're supposed to give birth at work and keep working while the new born will also start working right away to boost production. /s

1

u/BoltMyBackToHappy Jan 15 '25

Don't worry. They have other ideas...

1

u/lrerayray Jan 15 '25

Does anybody here really think he has time for 12 kids? And work at 3 companies? And being as annoying as he is?

1

u/thejameshawke Jan 15 '25

He really is gaslighting people into having more children so he can have workers for his factories? He is a ghoul.

1

u/BlindBeard Jan 15 '25

Donā€™t forget Elon is a weird pro natalist and heā€™s got twelve kids with three different women.

1

u/JohnCasey3306 Jan 15 '25

I totally get why people aren't having kids, but he's not wrong on this one; demographic collapse is a ticking time bomb that more countries are facing in the next 20-40 years than aren't.

1

u/The_Original_Miser Jan 15 '25

Good luck Elmo. I don't have kids. If I had his wealth and handlers, *maybe* I'd be happy having kids. But I would actually raise them instead of shuffling them off to some staff member, and using the one with unicode characters as a human shield. But whatever.

However, I don't have that kind of wealth nor time. Society isn't built IMHO currently for having kids. Elon isn't making it any better. So I'm not shocked people aren't having kids.

1

u/qualmton Jan 15 '25

No one wants the equivalent of a mortgage payment for a child when they can't even afford a mortgage? I'm shocked

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

I feel like economists have never taken a basic ecology class. This population trend looks like a species reaching its resource maximum.

1

u/SyerenGM Jan 15 '25

Where did Musk mention the 80 hour work week? I have seen it from other idiot CEOs but didn't see him mention it.

→ More replies (2)

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

One person in the household has to have a really good job. That's the only way nowadays.

1

u/SavvyTraveler10 Jan 15 '25

Great! Muskrat going to fund aspiring young people to have families or what?

Iā€™ve dreamt of becoming a father my entire lifeā€¦ now as a 36m with an amazing gf of 7yrs, have no wish to bring a child into this cruel world. Where basic human rights are no longer a given, education for my child is looking like the fkn bible and healthcare is simply for filthy rich people. Ps, I make $1m gross /yr and STILL have these opinions.

1

u/TimAppleCockProMax69 Jan 15 '25 edited Jan 15 '25

Breaking news, CEO wants us to make more workers! šŸ¤Æ

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '25

Take your child to work and make them work

1

u/Rahnzan Jan 15 '25

Where the fuck are all those robots they kept threatening us with?

1

u/2manyfelines Jan 15 '25

Musk is high and full of shit.

1

u/Hanners87 Jan 15 '25

This is funny from a dude whose adult children hate him.

1

u/zkimp Jan 15 '25

"Kids are awesome! (as human shields)" - Leon Musk

1

u/ShwiftyShmeckles Jan 15 '25

Why do republicans have this weird complex with pumping out as many babies as possible but then have 0 accountability or plan for the children they're demanding to be made. Not to mention they want to pay the vast majority of these new people being born less then a livable wage so wtf?

1

u/Thunderchief646054 Jan 15 '25

Oh noooooo not as many bodies to throw into the mega corp grinder? Shucks

1

u/niconiconii89 Jan 15 '25

As his own daughter disowns him publicly lol

1

u/Ok-Combination-3959 Jan 15 '25

Uncompensated feminized labor

1

u/snaysler Jan 15 '25

Nothing will make you happier????

Musk's children ducking despise him! xD

They constantly berate him for being an evil man child.

1

u/kelsofox369 Jan 15 '25

As a woman looking at this chart makes me feel like livestock.

1

u/MeaningSilly Jan 15 '25

So, in the 1960s, there was an average of 7 live births per woman?

My grandparents were considered pretty prolific, and they only had 5 live births (and something like 7 miscarriages).

This seems like it might be less than accurate data.

1

u/Gravitas__Free Jan 15 '25

Wait until they are teenagers and then come back and tweet about it

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

His kids are nothing but meat shields to him

1

u/ConsequenceBig1503 Jan 16 '25

Having children in this economy? Nah.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '25

Man... when will we stop ranting on the internet and do something about it.....Ā

They are like 1% of the population if that... let's rise up its that simple. No one wants to sacrifice for the greater good we all got too comfortable with western life.Ā

1

u/ADelacour Jan 16 '25

Only a certain group of people should have kids. The rest of us should rot in he- I mean should stay in factories amd offices for the corporate overlords.

1

u/amscraylane Jan 16 '25

There are 15,000 babies born every hour on this planet.

1

u/wattzson Jan 16 '25

Elon, you're as much of a father as you are a gamer....

1

u/Vadermort Jan 16 '25

Says the guy who ignores and disowns his own children. A man so miserable he had to buy the town square to hear people sing his praises. And when that wasn't enough, he bought the whole damn town.

1

u/Rogue_bae Jan 16 '25

Letā€™s ask the mothers now

1

u/SanLucario Jan 16 '25

> Kids are awesome!

Says the good-for-nothing father that disowned his daughter over the slightest disagreement.

1

u/Prehistory_Buff Jan 16 '25

Correct, there aren't enough babies, Elon. And you have proposed absolutely zero rational solutions to the problem.

1

u/gonebonanza Jan 16 '25

Elon sees his kid once a month for a photoshoot proving heā€™s the dad soā€¦

1

u/Chopaholick Jan 16 '25

Double my salary and I'll consider it. I don't want my hypothetical wife working if we have kids. Oh and Medicare for all would be nice.

1

u/GoodtimesSans Jan 16 '25

It's also a case of "we've been pushing the debt onto the young workforce for decades now, and if their dwindling numbers don't catch up, this entire house of cards will crumble into dust. "

1

u/Content_Forever_1177 Jan 17 '25

They're trying to make a serf class again.

1

u/frozen-baked Jan 17 '25

The expectation is that kids will learn about work and join their parents working at a young age. Exemptions and vouchers for home school should take care of that pesky compulsory education thing.
