Really? Because I offer Vitamin D to the ladies all the time. None have taken me up on the offer and I usually get pepper sprayed, but I still offer.

Gotta be days. I prefer nights myself, but photosynthesis is pretty important for survival. Sure, there are grow lamps / uv bulbs, but the energy increase and global warming and such. I figure it would also cure SAD.
Of course, there would still be problems without night, but I figure the day option is less detrimental to the majority. (Sorry, vampires. Try the salt caves in Poland.)

I think they meant to imply that the day or night was still be normal length but the rest of the opposite time of day or night would be 24 hours.

Except 24h is an entire cycle. So if it's 24h of one, there's no time left for the other. shrug

Given that the rotation of the Earth is based on its mass, you forgot to factor in the added weight of yo mama. Once accounted for, 35+ hour days are possible.

It's odd to think about what 24 hours of night would mean. Is the sun just "gone" or is the Earth now tidally locked with the sun the same way the moon is with earth?
I wonder what the average temperature on the dark side of the Earth would be, given that winds would still carry some heat onto the dark side.

Nights, that way its both socially acceptable to sleep for a while and to be up at night

If there are magically no ill effects on health or the environment, meaning it’s essentially just visual? Night time all the way.

I'll take 24 hour days. I can always cover windows and doors to block the sun if I need it to be dark.

Days. 24hr nights is a great way for the population to starve to death because plants can't grow.

If it was days, we’d all burn to death. If it was night, things would get unbearably cold, but we could potentially survive by burning stuff for quite a while till we run out of resources.

I live in Iceland so we have both. Your body is based on 12 hours light and then 12 hours dark. The summer is always better than the winter

Night. I know crime would go up probably but I don't like sunlight and we have the technology for everything to stay lit up already.
