Does anyone know how I can fade between automation curves on different MIDI clips in session view? For example, if I have a MIDI clip that contains automation curve information for parameter 1, and then I launch a different MIDI clip that also automates parameter 1, is there a way to "smooth" the change on parameter 1 instead of making it jump suddenly?

I’ve been making music in Ableton with a Push 3 for about 1.5 years and have a solid understanding of music theory. I understand scales, chord functions, extensions, relative minors, and how keys work. But I’m at a point where I feel stuck. I can set a scale, play chords, and jam, but when I try to actually write something meaningful, I feel aimless. I don’t want to spend time drilling scales or memorizing notes because I don't totally see the point for my goals. When I watch music theory video breakdowns on Youtube, I pretty much know the info they're giving, but I don't really think it's worth my time to memorize all the notes in F# pentatonic minor and be able to rattle them off. I'm not trying to learn classical or jazz style.

I feel like I'm plateauing at the point I'm at right now because I don't know how to expressively create things using that knowledge. Has anyone else hit that plateau, and how did you get through it?

I exported the multitrack of a project I want to mix, grouped, subgrouped and color coded everything, but forgot to change the bpm.

Now that I correct the bpm - some tracks are thrown off beat - even tho I made sure all the tracks have 'Warp' turned off.

Is there another setting I forgot to change? the drums stay perfect but adlibs, risers, synths have all been thrown off..

I feel like I'm going crazy. All I want to do is indefinitely play a one shot that is looping. My problem is the samples either just end after looping once or twice instead of looping forever. I'm dyin over here

Lately with automation, let’s say volume. I noticing arrangement view it greys out and stops working from time to time on the 12.2 beta. What triggers that?

Not on the beta program but this sounds like you may have this button activated in Arrangement view?

Thanks - thought the same but it wasn’t that. Strange.

why does flattening a track take so long? is it because it's playing the track back in realtime and rendering out the stem?
