[Question] Why is there a slight delay every other snare hit?

I made a copy of my snares and bounced them to audio. As you can see, every other snare hit is slightly delayed. I have no automation or sidechain. I'm using simpler for both snare tracks:

Do you have a Groove on those midi clips? That would explain why it delays some hits to adhere to your groove.

+ 1 for OP having some 8ths groove on the clips!

There is a (relatively new) setting in the groove pool that makes it so that a groove is automatically applied to any new clip. OP should make sure that's not enabled)

Wow yep, that's it. I didn't apply them, but I guess like u/abletonlivenoob2024 said, it applied automatically.

Yeah, they will shift the audio when selected. Applying them with physically move the midi notes in your clip so you see the swing.

You've just discovered drum machine "swing". As someone already commented, it looks like you've applied a "Groove".

If you make a brand new project with just those two samples, does it do the same thing?

Could be wrong, but I believe there’s latency introduced when you have monitoring set to AUTO. Try switching to OFF and bounce again.

That looks really sus. Might be worth to report it or check if the midi file has automation. Also check the playmode of the sample. Maybe there is something wrong(i couldn't imagine why, but maybe it helps) Can you reproduce this in a fresh new set (without dragging the clip or drum kit tonthe new set but instead building it from ground up?
