Recommendations? [Recommendation] 38DD looking for a t back bra to wear under racerback tank Spoiler

I'm a 38DD/DDD (comfortable fit anyway) and trying to find a t back bra to wear under a racerback tank that doesn't show any straps (I just don't like the look of straps showing). Most racerback bras or j hooks still show straps on me so I'm thinking t back would be better. Wireless and bralettes just don't work for me. With sport bras I always get uniboob which I hate. Any recommendations out there for me?

***EDIT: After using the calculator--

loose under bust: 41 / snug under bust: 37.5 / tight under bust : 36 / standing bust: 44 / leaning bust: 49 / lying bust: 42 = 40 D/DD US

Calculator gives much bigger size? Spoiler

Hi all! I need some advice. I'm struggling with my bra size. For a long time i was a 70A (European size). Then I lost some weight and was a 70AA. Then I gained a lot of weight, and I became a 80A. Most of that weight is now gone and now i'm a 80AA. This confuses me because i'm only 4 kilograms heavier than I used to be when I had 70A/70AA. It seems alot to have gone 10cm up in bandsize but maybe I underestimate how much wider 4kilograms makes you? And it feels strange that I lost a whole cupsize but no bandsize. I still have an old 70A bra and the cups are really too small and the bandsize too tight. This was all measured with the standard measuring method.

I got curious and filled in the calculator of ABTF and it recommends a 70F? That seems way off.. Could that really be? The sister size of 80AA is 75A or 70B. I have small boobs when you see them and compared to my body (don't want to post pictures online). I have a friend with 70FF and here breasts are enormous compared to mine. I converted cm to inch to see if the outcome was different but it's the same. Do you think I made a mistake or does the calculator not work for my size/small boobs? I'm 37 and my boobs are not as perky as they used to be but don't sag alot either. Hope to hear from you!

My mesurements are Loose underbust: 79cm Snug underbust: 78cm Tight underbust: 72cm Standing bust: 89cm Leaning bust: 92cm Lying bust: 89cm

Edit: If I do UK size it gives me 32AA/A in inches and 32D/DD in cm. That seems like the calculator doesn't understand centimeters?

Recommendations? [Recomendations] I'm needing some assistance for my wife Spoiler

Hi everyone. My wife needs a new bra and me being a man, I've never shopped for a bra before. Needing some help with brands and best fit. Looking for something a little sexy but also supportive and that she can wear to work. I believe she told me she is 32inches in the bust. We are in the US. I think the bra she has now is a 34dd but she wears a sports bra over that one when she does to work. Tia

Question Lemonade Dolls’ “All Wonder” push up bra - has anyone tried it? Spoiler

I’ve had this advertised a couple of times, it looks good and I could certainly do with the help when it comes to cleavage - but I’ve not really been able to find any reviews or anything?

Alternatively, would anyone have any other suggestions for UK-available bras that help with cleavage?

Fit Check [Fit check] Aerie Sunnie Wireless Lightly Lined, 30B NSFW Spoiler

This is currently my only fitted bra. I got it on sale a couple years ago and I'm not sure if it fits. It's comfortable but the gore is pretty far off my chest and the padded part of the cups feels too narrow for my breasts. The band fit feels fine and the straps are adjustable to a good length (they're a little uneven because my breasts are different sizes). I really like the look, comfort, and ease of use of this bra and I'm considering getting it in a 30C to see if it fits better. I've used the ABTF calculator 3 times and been assigned different sizes: 28C, 28D, and 26DDD/G. I'm confused because this bra doesn't feel nearly far enough from correct for the last one to be right and I can't tell if I'm measuring right even following the tutorial diagrams.

Recommendations? Recommendation for Non-bras (tapes, adhesive covers) in the DD range Spoiler

My back is my best asset, however my titties are in the DD+ range.. so I never get to wear those fun open back dresses. I am a big dancer at weddings, and generally need to feel comfortable in everything I wear, not only picture perfect. I have been targeted by all kinds of adds on instagram about sticky bras and such, but Im always sceptic when it comes to products like that.. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations or personal experience, it would help me greatly :)

Question Why do double ds look so small? Spoiler

I’ve had my boobs measured a few times, and every time I’ve been a 32DD to a 28E. I assume this is due to my low band size, but genuinely, my boobs look tiny. Everyone I see who has B and C cups look so much bigger. Mine are around the size of my fist. I’m not insecure about this in the slightest, I’m just genuinely curious as to why they look so small. Is it just my small band size? Are other people saying they’re smaller than they are? Do I just have a warped perspective on size? Lmk! :)

Edit: thanks for all the responses!!

Question Questions regarding the "A Guide to Shallow Breasts with a Wide Root" re: Freya Spoiler

I'm pretty sure this is my shape with close set breasts. The Freya recommendations are:

- recommended "Freya Deco Moulded Soft Cup"

- hit and miss "Freya Deco Half Cup" and "Freya Deco Plunge - original"

- not likely to work is "Freya plunge balconies"

I'm having a hard time figuring out which model the moulded soft cup is. Also, which model is the deco half cup?

I seem to have found the right size(s) after measuring myself wrong initially (pretty sure I was fully exhaled while measuring). New measurements:

Loose Under: 33

Snug: 32.5

Tight: 32

Standing: 38

Leaning: 40

Lying: 38.5

So, UK 34E/F

I last tried the Offbeat moulded in 34E, I don't fill the sides but I'm spilling out of the front centre. I'm trying Freya as they are readily available on Amazon (great return policy). So, would like to understand the Freya recs in the guide a bit more.

Discussion Bras for Large Chested Women in Japan? Spoiler

Hi,

I'm an American who moved to Japan (my boyfriend's work transferred him here). We are from Minnesota and are currently in Gifu.

...I am large chested (32H per the calculator, narrow spaced and high projection) and I haven't had a lot of luck finding anything that fits here. Outside of Tokyo (which is a bit more diverse) most of Japan is pretty homogenous and I haven't met a lot of women who have the same figure and shape that I do.

Does anyone have recommendations for shops, online stores, etc.? Appreciate any help!

Fit Check [Fit check] Wearing a 32G, and need some shape help! Some terrible shape mismatches, some better? Wacoal, Fantasie illusion and other, Panache Clara, Elomi Morgan. Recommendations would be great! Spoiler

My old bras are too small, and I’ve lost some weight so my current bras’ shape mismatches are glaringly obvious now, particularly Elomi Morgan. Those were the only bras available at the store I traveled to a year back, so I made do 😭.

Please let me know if you have any insight for my shape/brands and models to try, and easy places for returns online!

Here are my measurements done twice for reference! (Cm)

https://imgur.com/a/CTRVi8N

Here are the measurements in inches though:

I figure I’m between two calculation methods? And it’s been hopping between averaging and taking the leaning measurement.

Attempt 1- 32F/FF

Loose: 31.9

Snug: 30.7

Tight: 29.1

Standing: 38.6

Leaning: 41.3

Lying: 38.6

Attempt 2- 32G/GG

Loose: 31.9

Snug: 30.7

Tight: 28.3

Standing: 39.4

Leaning: 41.1

Lying: 39.0

Shape

I’m confused on my shape so I could be totally wrong when you look at the fit photos, but my best guesses are: Quite narrow, maybe splayed, and medium tall roots but high on chest (4ish fingers from clavicle, 2-3 fingers when leaning)

FoT, slightly Center full (nipples point slightly outward and are right below the apex and most of the volume with good posture when leaning),

Close set 1-2 fingers (the gore cuts into my clavicle but maybe that’s my posture, and leaves red marks that impinge on my breast tissue), Asymmetrical by about 2 cup sizes (this and the close set means only half the gore tacks and one wire sits on the bigger breast)

Projection: when I had smaller breasts they seemed somewhat shallow to me, but now that my breasts fold over the IMF onto my ribs since they’re larger they visually look average projected to me, but fill the shallow guide relatable criteria of being more firm, used to be more self supporting (the smaller one still is), looking smaller than images of the same calculator size. So maybe average maybe shallow.

Photos

Comments also have the pictures I’m planning on using for fit check/recs/shape help!!! I lost some weight and breast tissue after buying the 32G/GG bras

poorly fitted old bras 32E, 30FF, 32F

panache Clara not Imgur 32GG one of my two best fitting bras currently but weirdly itchy feeling?

Fantasie Illusion 32G one of my two best fitting bras

Elomi Morgan 32GG terrible shape mismatch

Thank you so so much for your help here!!!!!!

Thank You! Thank you - By reading in this subreddit i was able to buy a bra that fit Spoiler

I have read vor some time in this Group and with the many advises that are posted here, i was able to buy (as a male) my first Bra. Arrived today and it fits well. I ordered it a little smaller then i measured and also ordered extensions. The one i bought is a T-Shirt Bra in 95C.
It is a bra with wires but without padding. And i enjoy wearing it very much. Even if i'm not able to fill the Cups.

Which style would fit me after pregnancies and breastfeeding Spoiler

I’ve been wearing push up bras and tshirt bras with a low wire in the front (does it make sense?) but after giving birth and breastfeeding, my boobs does not have the same volume in the top, and they will fall out of the bra or just be really unflattering. I have tried balconette styles, but the wires always irritates at my chest. Which kind a bra would you recommend for me? I’m usually a 36DD/E (I just did a new measuring)

I’m based in Scandinavia.

Thank you

Measurement Check How am I a 30D if my 32B bras fit / are too big? Spoiler

Hiya I’m new here but I’ve just measured my boobs and it was 30in band 34in bust. Meaning I’m a 30D. I’ve been wearing 32B this whole time and they mostly fit but on the occasion are actually too big? How does that work? I’m a bit confused because I always thought D cups were really big but my boobs are quite small.

Recommendations? Bra recommendations for 36DD, some sagging and outward laying boobs? Spoiler

I currently wear a 36B (VS and Maidenform) which is tight on me when I sit and the calculator tells me I should be wearing a 36DD (US). Since my boobs sag a bit and naturally lay outwards a bit, what type of bra is recommended? I’ve looked at Elomi like some people have mentioned in other posts but they’re so pricey! My measurements (inches) are:

Loose Underbust: 35.25 Snug Underbust: 34.75 Tight Underbust: 33.5 Standing Bust: 40 Leaning Bust: 41 Lying Bust: 39.5

TIA!

Edit: I should mention I have full bottom boobs and are mostly full towards the outer sides of the bottom which is what I consider the outward laying.

Racerback or TBack style for large cups and small bands Spoiler

I have severe scoliosis and cannot wear shoulder strap bras as they fall off my curved spine and shoulders. I am having the worst time finding proper bras that don't dig into my protruding rib cage, don't have a massive racerback style that shows through my shirt, and can we worn comfortably.

The best luck I've had is a crappy bra from Wacoal. I pretty much only wear sports bras or bralettes but I need more support as the girls are drooping. Help.

Fit Check [Fit Check] Panache Envy 36FF - wow! that's a tight band Spoiler

First off, measurements:

  • Loose UB - 35.5"
  • Snug UB - 34.5"
  • Tight UB - 34"
  • Standing - 41"
  • Leaning - 46.5"
  • Lying - 43.5"
  • Recommended size: 36FF (UK)

I had/nursed a baby a few years ago and never fit into my pre-pregnancy bras due to a combination of weight gain and my breast tissue relaxing a whole lot. It's a little hard to determine my shape but I think I am:

  • center full
  • mostly balanced, maybe a little full on top?
  • pretty sure my roots are short, but not narrow
  • pendulous, very projected
  • soft
  • left boob is bigger but not sure if it's a whole size bigger

To confirm this I grabbed 4 bras that were on the lists that were not discontinued and also in stock at Nordstrom: Panache Envy, Panache Tango, Panache Cari, Freya Deco (all in 36FF)

After all the swooping and scooping, here's what I found:

The two molded bras (Deco, Cari) didn't fit very well (after reading a few more posts this seems to be normal given my shape) with a lot of gapping at the top, the Cari definitely fit better than the Deco.

The Tango was so pretty and MIGHT fit better if I went down 1 or 2 cup sizes but wires on the side were way too high!

The Panache Envy was the best fitting of the lot but I still had a few problems:

  • Band was EXTREMELY TIGHT, even when put on backwards. I could still latch it but wow! I had to check that the tag said 36 a few times. I grabbed an extender on Amazon which should come in soon.
  • straps were very wide on my shoulders and I had to fully extend them so they weren't too tight so they weren't falling off but they didn't seem like they were "correct" either
  • gapping at the top, but mostly on the smaller (right) side
  • slight wrinkling at the bottom
  • slight wrinkling on the outside
  • wires were a touch too high on the outside
  • generically scratchy experience on the edges

Otherwise the gore tacked (I wish it was lower but that's for aesthetics not fit) and the wires seem to stay in my IMF for the short amount of time that I did wear it.

The band is tight enough that I am tempted to sister-size it but I worry that will exacerbate the straps being too wide so I'm going to stick to the 36 bands for now.

If I order the Panache Envy in 36F would the resolve the wires being too high on the outside? Should I get a 36E as well just to cover my bases? Should I also get a bra insert to help out right boob?

I have other questions but they would go better in a recommendation post (though if you have recommendations I will of course accept them) and I would like to cap this off by saying, thank you all for being here. It's easy to complain about the various guides being out of date but the the amount of information being provided here is astonishing and I've learned so much in the last week since I discovered this subreddit. Thank you.

Calculator gave me a 36B, 34C. Spoiler

Measurements: Loose: 34.5 Snug: 34 Tight: 33 Standing: 36 Leaning: 38 Lying: 38

I am attending a wedding coming up soon and have a dress I plan to wear with a 4" plunge in the front, I'm looking for a deep plunge bra. My breasts are very wide set, I can fit maybe 4 fingers between them due to my amab frame. Would love to jack the girls up and look great in this dress.

The only viable option I can find that seems to give me the results I'm looking for is the misses kisses bra, but I'm open to something more budget friendly.

Any advice would be nice, I was previously wearing a 36C but had gapping in the top, most of my bras gap at the top.

Recommendations? First time posting, have some questions Spoiler

I read through how to measure, but don't have a measuring tape. I also read about breast shape, but am not quite sure I have understood everything I have read. So I thought I would just ask some general questions to start.

My current bras are 40G. I think I am either a 36 or 38. However I am not sure on the cup size.

I am 6'3", so I have a much larger frame than most woman. I lost 100 pounds over the last year and a half so my breasts are very "saggy" for lack of a better word. It doesn't seem like any of the weight I lost came off my breasts. They were never perky because of the large cup size but after my weight loss they seem way more saggy. There is a bit of space in the middle between my breasts before the the roots starts and when I am not wearing a bra they fall down but also out to the side towards my arms.

After trying to read through all of the information, it makes sense that where an under wire lands makes a big difference. What I don't understand is how to figure out what is correct for myself.

Again my breasts are sagging and go towards my arms. I am 6'3" so have a large frame. Is taking the three measurements just below my breasts crucial to figure out band size, or can I experiment because I have a rough starting out point? What would you recommend for me to try brand wise?

Question Elomi Charley vs Elomi Charley stretch in 40HH Spoiler

Hi all I'm about to order a new Charley bra and I wanted to get some understanding on the fit between the same bra style but one with stretch lace vs non-stretch. I believe my Charleys have always been the stretch but I do notice that it will sometimes give the impression of an indentation where the lace joins the bottom half of the cup. I would assume that this could be due to a too small cup size but it gave me pause to wonder if the non stretch is the better option For the boffins, what are your thoughts? Would buying the non stretch be a mistake when your bigger?

Looking for an invisible bra under clothes Spoiler

Once more I am impressed by the calculator on this subreddit. I ordered a Elomi Matilda from Amazon in a 34GG and it fits better than I even expected! It was marked down to $42 and came in about 8 hours overnight so I couldn’t have asked for better really.

But the Matilda has a texture and seams that are not smooth under a lot of shirts. Most available in my size seem to share those characteristics. Any suggestions for another bra to try?

I think this means I am somewhat projected and fuller on top.

Discussion Bra band always slip onto top rib Spoiler

I'm debating returning/exchanging three 32GG bras from Bravissimo because I can't decide if they're the wrong size or if I'm destined to have my band live on my ribs. It feels as though the bottom of my breast tissue is perhaps a finger width above my ribs, so after a short time of wearing it, the band always slips down and sits there. It isn't too wildly loose, because I always have red marks from the bra by the end of the day, but unless I'm frequently adjusting it, it never stays where it starts. Since it can already feel so tight I'm concerned about a 30 being too uncomfortable. Any advice from someone who's dealt with the same? Was sizing down a fix?

Help! The hooks are digging in Spoiler

I’ve lost 60 lbs. I have a weird size to begin with. I was wearing a 40C with 2 bra extenders on because they just don’t make like a 42AA in stores and I’ve been wearing a specific brand that my body seems to like. While losing weight I was able to go down to one bra extender, and eventually I lost too much in the cup area to continue with a 40C. Recently I’ve bought a 40B and have been wearing my one bra extender but it’s felt a little tight so I moved back to 2. Unfortunately, the hooks in the back are now aligned with the edge of my shoulder blade and have been causing extreme discomfort/pain as they have been rubbing against my skin. I’ve done the calculator rough measurements are: 39-41 underbust 42-44 bust

I have tried without a bra extender and it feels a little TOO snug.

I don’t know what to do. I feel so uncomfortable wearing a bra 😭

Recommendations? How to conceal nipples in unlined bra? Any smooth unlined bras? Spoiler

I have been trying to find the best fit bra, and i found an unlined one after reading a lot of posts about my size (calculator says 32DD or 32DDD; i agree based on the 27 bras I’ve tried this week 🥴). It’s a skarlett blue (entice) and it’s very unlined 😬 I know some people don’t care about nipples showing but I do (and the fabric rubbing my nipples is uncomfortable), so what are the best ways to cover my nipples in an unlined bra?

Also, any similar bras that might be smoother under a t shirt? The lace is too textured to wear under my solid fitted t shirts, but it’s fitting better than most of the molded cups I’ve tried.

Question How to find the right bra size and shape after a breast reduction? Spoiler

I’m scheduled for a breast reduction in a few weeks. After everything is healed and is time to measure and go bra shopping, what helpful tips could I have. I know it can be tricky bc of the ‘man made’ breasts and the shape and all. What adjustments have any of you had to make when buying new bras?

Recommendations? Need recommendations for projected 36 F to G? Spoiler

Hi all,

I am new to this sub and trying to understand the terms/ my size. From the calculator and recommendations here , I am trying (UK) sizes 36 F to G.

I started with panache Clara - all 3 of them are going back. The band seems ok based on backward/ upside down test but when I wear it the correct way, the tissue fits well inside the cups but after an hour or 2 it starts to get very uncomfortable.

So I was told that I may have projected breasts and need deeper cups. Based on the info I could gather from the sub, I do think I have projected breast’s.

What bra can I try next? Would prefer ones available on Amazon US for easy returns and quick delivery.
