Legit for me it was just shame spirals of not being taught anything and then being made to feel stupid when I didn’t know it. Now that I’m low contact with my mother I’m so much happier but still ND learning how to be a person.

Yes! I was not taught anything by my mother and she very much screeched at me for not know how to do…whatever…by osmosis. I was always told nothing I did was good enough, wrong and backwards, therefore I was not worth her attention or time.

Yes that’s exactly it! I have a big fear of asking for help because I was made to feel stupid whenever I didn’t know something, even when they never taught me. I’d often get “you have to start learning to figure things out for yourself” even when they never helped me understand how to figure it out myself. I’m also low contact with my parents now and never been happier.

Yeah, my family is full of adhd and we annoy each other. My dad is retired and LOUD. Living alone is better but I tend to be messier. At least it is quiet
