Let's assume he could scrub all records of his comments from the universe. Admitting you are wrong is worthless anyways if it's not accompanied by change. Saying "I was wrong. I guess gasoline is flammable." doesn't mean shit to the person whose house burnt down. Admitting you were wrong only matters when it is the first step in fixing a mistake. I would give a shit if started to do something good in return, but let's not pretend like he wouldn't just support another serial sexual assaulter and con man if they ran for office as a Republican.
By even referring to this as "Trump 2.0" he is:
Implying Trump 1.0 was worthy of support
Deflecting the blame of being wrong to Trump changing as if it's a different person doing different things
