As a Canadian i will give ANYONE a second chance to redeem themselves. Any race, any gender, any political camp... fucking anyone.

This guy has my attention and my interest. If he comes up with a Conservative means to break from Camp-MAGA, i will back him up.

We need reasonable Republicans. Since Regan! Heck, since Nixon invented and financed the EPA, which Trumpers are trying to annihilate.

We need reasonable people. I didn't adore Obama because he was a war-hawk. He was, and still is, the reasonable guy. George W. Bush has proven to be a likeable guy, a fun guy, the guy you want to have a beer with. But was he reasonable for both sides? Obama holds his ground and allows decency for his opponents. Bipartisan to the bitter end. Infinite kudos.

What did McCain say? On Obama. "He is a decent family man & citizen that i just happen to have disagreements with."

Where did this go? Both sides. Where did this capacity and willingness to reason go? Did the Russian trolls and Russian buy-outs work so well? Why have we all collectively lost our fucking minds?

Edit: clarity on my already too-long message. And thanks for not hitting us as hard with the tarrif stick. This means a lot. And if California wants to open a Cascadia trade deal, it would mean the world to us. Thanks for trying, no matter what.
