I’m aware I am extremely paranoid & I struggle with OCD related to technology and malware, does anyone else have these “SFA” logs in the analytics section of privacy and security? I can’t find ANYTHING about them on google. The pcs one especially worries me as it says a lot about “key counts”, so possibly a keylogger? The only way I can think of getting any kind of malware would be a driveby download from tech forum websites or an “accept cookies” popup possibly being malicious, which I’m not sure of the likelihood of. Please if anyone can help I would appreciate it

My mom has an M3 MacBook Air with 512GB storage. She had an iPhone 13 Pro that she wanted to upgrade a couple months ago. I had her do an encrypted backup of her 13 Pro to her MacBook. She also has iCloud backup enabled on everything with plenty of iCloud storage available. For her Photos library, she has download and keep originals enabled on her MacBook and optimize storage enabled on her phone.

She went to the Apple Store and got a 16 Pro and traded in her 13 Pro. She either did a phone to phone transfer at the store or did a restore from iCloud, I think it was the latter. She did not and has not restored from that encrypted local backup.

Now two months later, her MacBook storage is full, largely from the ~200GB 13 Pro backup from two months ago. I’m trying to figure out if I can delete that local backup without her losing anything important from her old phone.

Is there anything the local encrypted backup would have in it that restoring from iCloud wouldn’t have transferred over?

If she were to restore from the local backup now, wouldn’t she lose everything that has been changed/added in the past two months?

I would appreciate any helpful advice.

Hello, back from when the iPhone got release, my family shared the same App Store account. Now I want to seperate this without causing too much trouble.

It seems like "purchases", even free apps, are tied to the original App Store account. When changing the Store Account to everyones separate own Apple ID, everything seems like before as long as Family Sharing is active. This is fine for now, but it would be nice to "migrate/copy" the free apps to each ones account, so if the Family Sharing is deactivated (for whatever reason), nothing breaks.

I have read throughout the internet different information. Some say you would have to fully delete the app and redownload it through the new account. This kinda sucks as it would reset most apps. Others say offloading should suffice. I tried it, but I'm not sure how to verify if it worked since i don't want to deactivate Family Sharing for now.

I feel like this is a common case but people rarely talk about it.

Hi everyone, sorry if this is a stupid question, I’m useless when it comes to technology haha.

So, I’ve recently bought an iPad 11th gen and connected it to my iPhone 12’s iCloud. What I was wanting to ask is, is there any way for me to unsync iCloud from my iPad while keeping all the photos and videos stored on there? I wanted to use my iPad as extra storage for photos etcetera, but whenever I turn off camera roll syncing, all the photos and videos start disappearing.

TLDR: how can I take photos from my iPhone and keep them on my iPad using iCloud, so I can delete them from my iPhone?

The screen turned black and only these lines can be seen when turning the screen on. Anybody knows what may have caused it and any remedy? Or need to change screen

I have an older iphone 11 and all of sudden today, it won't stay connected to my wifi. It's on ios 18.3.2 It shows the wifi checked under settings but it constantly drops it and goes back to data. Nothing has changed at home. Just woke up and today it started acting up. What can I do?

Context: I got these AirPods a while ago and on a run I managed to drop the right side AirPod while putting back in the case, loosing it.

I talked to a seller on Facebook marketplace who had a right side AirPod Gen 2 that he wanted to sell. I went there to try to connect it to my case and test it but for some reason, it couldn’t really connect well. And now the other original left side isn’t connecting to the case either.

Whenever it’s in the case and the case is closed, the case shows the battery of the AirPod but when it’s opened, it’s constantly blinking white. I’ve tried to reset the case by holding down the button while the lid is open and after a while, for a micro second, it’ll turn green and then go right back to the same blinking white.

I’ve tried everything… so any help would be great. I don’t want to buy another pair of AirPods so anything would be appreciated.

I have production apps in there with live users and I need to access it to push updates.

Today when I tried to log in, it was rejecting my password. When I went to "Forget Password," it said my account was locked and asked me to type in my phone number. I did, and then it said my "We’re reviewing your request to access your account, this process could take a day. Apple Support can’t help you shorten the review time."

I hadn't pushed anything new recently, I'm not aware of any ToS violations, and there's nothing weird or shady about my apps that would prompt this kind of thing, AFAIK.

I've been looking around the internet and seeing lots of other reports of this, especially in the last few days.

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm really quite unnerved as my entire business is on this account. If I lost it, I'd effectively be starting from scratch.

Hello, I have an iphone 14 pro and while sending a text message, the blue bar at the top would not go through and it would not say delivered. I went to toggle with the Wi-Fi on my phone and when I reopened the message app the pending text was gone. However, I know the text has been delivered as it says so on my Apple Watch. I need this message. Is there anyway I can make it reappear on my iPhone. Thank you.

I have iPhone 13 iOS 18.2 and I just wanted to check my screen time and when I open the app and click on it I see this..? I tired to turn the screen time on and off but it remained like that.

I updated my iPhone 16 to IOS 18.4 on Monday and this notification has been in my battery stats ever since. I have barely anything in my iCloud storage as I’ve this is my first iPhone ever and I only got it around 2 weeks ago, and I’ve seen high iCloud storage explained as a reason for it taking so long. Can someone explain why the notification is still here a week after the update?

Yesterday, I spent over 90 minutes writing a long email in the Apple Mail app on my iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 18.3.2). I attached about 10 photos, and just before sending, the app froze briefly and flashed a “not enough space” message — even though I had over 250GB free.

When I reopened the Mail app, the entire draft was gone. Not in Drafts, Sent, Outbox, Trash — nowhere. It didn’t appear in Spotlight Search either. I left the phone charging overnight on Wi-Fi in case it needed to finish syncing, but still nothing.

Mail app storage is showing 26GB under iPhone Storage, so I know it’s holding a lot of cached data. But I never tapped “Save Draft” — and I thought Apple Mail autosaved?

Any chance this is cached somewhere? Or completely gone?

Would love any help — devastated to lose that much effort.

For some reason, every time I add someone to WhatsApp or my contacts, that added contact also appears on my dad's phone, but when he adds someone, nothing appears on mine. Let me give you a brief context: My dad had an iPhone 6s that he later transferred to me. I didn't reset it, I just closed the Apple ID account, created a new one, and restarted the phone as new. I currently have an iPhone 11, to which I transferred the information from the 6s, and the problem persists. I've read some information and it seems to be because I didn't reset it. Supposedly the only solution is to reset the phone to factory settings, but I don't like the idea of ​​losing anything. Please help. My new MacBook Air's touchpad stopped working just one month after purchase. I took it to an authorized retailer in Egypt for repair. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the necessary replacement part in stock and had to order it from the U.S.

It has now been two months, and the issue is still unresolved. It feels like I paid for a product that I never truly received.

I've contacted Apple Support multiple times, but the only response I've received is to "wait for the repair." This is unacceptable. If the device cannot be fixed within a reasonable time frame, shouldn’t I be eligible for a full replacement?

I’m extremely frustrated and concerned that this process could drag on indefinitely. Is there a proper channel to escalate my case and get a resolution?

i put my photos in icloud yesterday, they took up 40 gigabytes of space on my phone. now they're in icloud and my system data shows the gigabytes of my photos. my phone also shows that 24 gigabytes on my phone are free in the device tab so it's weird that i see that most of the phone is full in the storage tab?

I changed my iCloud, but could not change whatever password this is, I’m not sure what account it is even associated with. I can’t seem to find any clear answers. I'm trying to login to my Apple Account, I still have access to the email and password, but I cant remember my trusted phone number for it, and I don't have access to it anymore. There's an option to recover my account, but it requires me to type in the number I forgot. Is there another way for me to recover my account or am I cooked?

tryna help my grandma out because someone set up screen time limits on her ipad a while back and she's basically not been able to use it since. i try to change the screen time code and it wont work because of the whole thing where it has to be the exact email and the password it had at the time. she really only has two passwords set EVER for anything and neither of those worked, so i honestly have zero clue what it couldve been. checked all her password books and everything. tried using pinfinder but its currently on ios 17 so that wont work.

all the things ive seen that can possibly unlock the screentime password now are pretty shady and cost something like $30 a MONTH which i dont think we're willing to pay lmao. i factory reset her ipad (without restoring from a backup) because the settings were only done locally on the device, but it seems it didnt really work? some of the limits got deleted but now she has?? different ones?? and for some reason icloud sharing is on now for the settings as well (they werent previously) so it might have been made worse...

went into recovery mode as well, that also didnt work so i'm not sure if theres any other options at this point other than using a new apple id or something :/
