why is caitlyn’s colour scheme purple in league yet blue in arcane?

i’ve been wondering about this for a while and idk if i was like being delusional and seeing blue while everyone saw purple but why is her colour scheme blue, when she’s got a purple theme in LoL? ik arcane doesn’t fully copy the character designs from LoL and they didn’t for her because she’s missing the obvious top hat however i feel like her colour still should’ve been purple so what’s the reason for it being blue? does this make sense

also idk how much more i have to yap to get to 500 charactersssszzsssssssssssssss help when will this end pls

Idk but the navy blue really suits esp with the gold outlines in her act 3 outfit. Very regal.

Tbf she does have at least two (by my count?) purple outfits in the show. The outfit she wears for the majority of her screentime season 1 in the undercity with Vi, and her pajamas. Most, if not all, of her blue outfits are just some version of an enforcer outfit.

Since all the characters got an overhaul for Arcane, they probably chose the blue because it’s more practical for what she does, And the red and blue Lesbian thing that’s pretty locked in now. Plus purple is a little on the nose since it’s considered a royal color, where blue and gold is still regal.

honestly i think its just to make the design more cohesive. Similar shades work together so it would make sense to make her hair kinda blue as well

Because the Enforcer uniforms are blue, and they’d look ridiculous in purple. But they did give her a purple colour scheme when she was undercover in Zaun

Maybe the artists like the color blue. It’s one thing to change an original character design, but also to get away with it. Since Arcane is a somewhat serious show a lot of changes are made to reflect the atmosphere. You’ll also notice that Vi’s gauntlets aren’t as large and her face tattoo is smaller. Characters also wear different outfits throughout the show, to make things a bit realistic.
